I just got done from playing it about 10 minutes ago and I swear I must have some kind of personal vendetta against myself because every time I hop on the game it disappoints me on so many levels over and over.
It's like when you go into your refrigerator and you don't see anything in there that you want to eat and when you close the refrigerator door you open it back up a few minutes later hoping that something would magically appear in the refrigerator well that's how battlefield 2042 is for me.

Haven is brutal for being spotted, there’s always someone coming up behind me, that and the hit registration is broken, seeing the guy and hitting the guy are two different things.

It’s worth a low price point for Jackass Patrol style gameplay.

Playing battlefield 2042 has made me so much worse at playing battlefield 1 and battlefield 5. Because now if I see a target WAY far off if the distance, I’ll start shooting at them with my SMG or “assault rifle,” expecting to land shots like an idiot, and end up giving away my position and getting sniped.
But in 2042, If a target is simply in your field of view, you can legitimately hit them regardless of the range!
This game is so refreshing. I got burnt out on destiny so I played warzone for the last few months. I picked up this game a month or so ago and it has been an absolute blast. All my buds are now playing it as well. Rush XL this week is all out war. The maps are fun and huge. The weapons feel really nice too. I love how each weapon type has its own intended range. Most games have too much overlap because the maps are so small. Balancing weapon ttk makes weapons feel weaker than they should most of the time. In BF2042 that doesn't seem to be as big an issue.
Can someone tell me if this is satire or he is for real?

@@Plus_Red lol no satire. This game is refreshing compared to other FPS games out there. Even the chat in game is healthier than other games. When a guy in BF hurls an insult at someone else it feels like the most toothless insults compared to what you see and hear in other games.

To me, the major problem is that the game feels really bad. It's not immersive. Within 300 hours playtime, I've had like 3 moments that felt immersive. In BF3 or BF1, I've had that within ONE game. And ist not just because I suck at 2042 😅
Thing with me is, after BF5 I vowed to never buy another Battlefield game. :D

Most important thing any sane player from other games would be shocked how disconnected from gameplay loop(at least intended one) majority of players every single round. You got nice objective mode like breakthrough? Unfortunate, your teammates will just refuse to participate.
The same is in Conquest, dudes are siting on rock or hide in bushes outside the capture/defend zone and are doing nothing.

I've lost so many breakthrough matches with players who hover outside the zone.
Reinstalled 2042 after not playing for ~15 months, uninstalled half way through second round.
As a "new player" (Played bf like 3 years ago) playing a few days after an update was kinda fun, but after a week it was a disaster. I couldn't do anything but die to high rank players on foot/vehicle. It was like respawn - die - run to the objective and die doing so, repeat.
Maybe it's just skill issue or a new players stopped playing and the rest of player base are quite good at this game and the only option of killing someone is to camp, but I don't like to play it that way and I just deleted bf for some time.
But still like to watch your content about BF
It is the map Haven, to beat the sweat lords u have to play like either a sweat lord yourself or camp like a pro on that map!. I get it not all new players will even try anything else then what is presented to them from the main menu, and this shows how bad Dice are atm not consider this when doing a free to play? Even doing changes that breaks some guns or make some OP at the same time gives an even more bitter taste in the mouth for a new player I believe lol
I'm also a new player and find the game very easy keep playing you will get better

If they brought back the Dark Market Credits into Battlefield 2042, but applied it to all mode where you could earn them and it was only used to buy cosmetics in the game. Do you think it would possibly make the game better? (Dark Market Credits were originally removed from Hazard Zone, which it was used to buy weapons to spawn in with)

The game started to give me that "eh" feeling, but then I just started PTFO my way, tank busting.
I'll Falck around, but once I see a tank, I just start nose diving to take it down. That breathed some fresh air to my experience at least.
I agree with the spotting as I do play casper and sadly I have to use the drone to max out the mastery and I wish they did something else with the drone as Its kinda a boring gadget. Maybe put a 10 second timer on it or reduce the range of the tagging or you have to stay on target to tag and once you look away the tag goes away. Next I will try out the jammer as that seems really good for obvious reasons. I have always loved sniping in the battlefield games and what I don't like is they took out the marksman bonus well mostly anyways. From what I remember you got XP bonus for every meter you sniped them so if you sniped someone 500 meters away you got 500 XP bonus and the bonus started at around 200m so its not like your getting double XP from just quickscoping everyone. I may be wrong but that's what I remember in BF3 and the main reason I loved sniping now you don't get anything from killing someone 800m away.
I think slowing down bullets at long range would help a lot against 100m+ full auto sprays

@@FATCHQDE i have not played a cod game in years but in the past it was hitscan .That being say high velocity projectiles like the ones in bf2042 make the gunplay terrible and make all maps no matter how well they are designed feel frustrating.

One of the things that really sticks out to me in this game is how labored so many animations feel. Battlefield 2042 is probably the fastest paced entry in the series with the CoD style movement and specialists like Mackay and Sundance, yet climbing/mantling animations, many reload animations, and swapping to secondary still feel like they're paced for BF5, which tried to slow things down generally. I really wish they'd speed these animations up quite a bit, especially weapon swap speed (plus this can then be used more extensively for balance among guns and even attachments) to match the general pace of this game. It's a big reason why extended and drum mags feel essential, even if they're not necessarily ideal from a TTK perspective.
Changing this is such a small, quick fix that I think would do so much to make moment to moment fights and traversal feel much better and more aligned with 2042's pacing.

I always liked the atmosphere and movie like feeling in battlefield 1 and 5. 2042 just feels like a common shooter without attention to detail.

the biggest problem in this game is the long range combat insta kills/ insta deaths that are caused by every gun in the game having little to no horizontal recoil.
Glad im sitting this one out but I appreciate the pain you've endured with this one. Its a damn shame going from BF3/4 to now.

Yeah it makes sense, if you're better than average when it comes to a game, you'll notice more than the average amount of bugs.

Well you cant use other specialist in vechiles or mounted weapons after you have used Lise´rocket (big bug)
my personal issues are all bugs. i can deal with ttk and range etc. idc if i die to guns or vehicles. but the bugs bro. how many times i couldnt get into windows even tho the animation to do so has begun, how many times i spawn in a heli or jet 20secs before the match begins just to not be able to give it any input or it spawning under the ground. getting squashed by invisible things. dying to thin air when trying to climb something. not being able to switch from the defi (5 key) to the medkit (4key) without using the mousewheel first for some reason. never seen a gameother than cyberpunk being that bugged before. 3 years after launch is CRAZY!!!! but still. i got the game for 10 bucks at the weekend sale and other than the above been enjoying it so far
On ps5 ..Me ?everytime plus stuck on rock or animation (reload,gadgets)get started somehow ..its bugfield with 2042 bugs and glitches ..😂
as far as spotting goes it used to overheat if you spammed it in past bf games.
Older battlefield games like battlefield 4,1, and 5 are better than 2042
I would only recommend 2042 if it were free or damn-near free. Otherwise it would be more satisfying to spend your money on an Egg McMuffin.
I decided to play BF4 on my PS5 after not playing it for many years then realised I had 2042 (it was free last year on PSPlus) and gave that a go. Honestly I'm kind of enjoying it surprisingly even though I heard bad things... maybe it's because I haven't played a Battlefield game since BF3/4.

Basically he's actually saying the answer "NO" if you think about it. Because one of the only reasons why would play 2042. Is if you have friends to play it with and ignore and do not attention the issues. But people can have fun playing any game with friends. Why not play a good game with your friends? You guys will probably have more fun that way.
I got tired of call of duty, so I got this on sale fpr under $8. It's actually refreshing and run and gun actually works in this game. I'm actually having fun, it's not BF4, recoil is almost non-existent like in Starwars Battlefront. I have a powerful pc so I don't suffer from graphical or lag issues. I understand the hate but it's fun when you're kicking ass after a long day at work.

I disagree with some of your opinions but there is two good maps that i enjoy on the game , you are correct on the grenades and the bugs , there to much open environment areas for snipers , no rocks to hide .i do think there to many specialists in the game .
I do hate the new map for one reason how if you get Charlie and stay with it and get d or b you won the game practically as on both sides the environment dips so you can shoot them from Charlie so they not worked it out for both sides to have the 50/50 chance of winning

yea bro just join 24/7 locker im sure you wont get bunnyhopped and movement glitched ur gonna have such a fun time as a new player all jokes aside the "small playerbase" may be small but the skill gap is high now since all players still playing have been playing for a while even vehicle players are sweaty so if you just want a casual experience its 50/50 really depending on the server im sure you'd still have a blast though as a casual or comp player just warning you if you do end up buying, what your getting urself into also theres the handful of servers that are usually full during prime time so its still an active game nonetheless

it's my 1st time since battlefield 3 campaign, i really enjoy this game, in 2 weeks i got 56lvl, a lot of fun for new players.
my favorite comments are the people who say they uninstalled since season 1 and are asking people on the internet if it's any better and if they should reinstall the game. like how about you reinstall the game, try it out, and decide for yourself instead of asking random people on the internet.
Edit: Something I will add in to 2042 is after going back and playing BFV and BF1, people DEFINITALLY play 2042 a lot more like COD than they do a typical battlefield game. your COD players will love the hell out of this game while your battlefield players may or may not.

Why do you play Breakthrough when you hate grenade spam, spotting, inconsistent hit reg and aim bugs?
All of these issues are a lot less prevalent in Conquest.
Yes you do run into these things but not every couple of seconds like in Breakthrough. That game mode just pisses me off each time I have to complete a weekly challenge for it, even if I'm doing well and end up being on top of the leaderboard.
Edit: The recoil bug has to go though. That is just awful.

I see a lot of "2042 defenders" calling cap on the mouse input issue. Comments like "prove it" or "no one can actually express the problem" - so effectively they're in denial or just unwilling to accept there's problem. Maybe you could consider another video dedicated to this issue. I know it's difficult to convey the mouse input to others unless you're experiencing itself yourself, but maybe you can find a way of showing or explaining it in a way they will understand? Anyway, thanks for daily uploads, it can't be easy continually thinking of new content on this game.

Tried out 2042 on gamepass. Hadn’t played it since beta. Coming from bf4 for the last few years, 2042 is a pretty big shit heap. Feels floaty and looks and feels cheap. Like a pretty terrible cod clone

BF1 was the last great Battlefield. We don't have a decent chapter since 2016. That's depressing.
It is a simple and big YES because there is just a fucking nothing else available with stunning graphics and the battlefield feeling, atmosphere ect.. And that is although the big problem with EA, at the end we buy it, some payed 20$ for one map, 3 weapons and some special skins because they are happy to get at least something. We should stop preordering and buying the next before real tests are available.. At the current stage, 2042 is a good game with problems but.... name me an alternative. I love Heaven as i loved Arica Harbor before and I hate Redacted.

I have stopped playing it now. The overwhelming issue I have with the game is, it has no soul. I mean, it feels disjointed and a player never starts a game with the same team as the last game. You can't build a "team" mentality. Therefore there is no connection with the game or other players. The last update screwed a lot of stuff up and I am just fed up with the whole experience. Just as other people have said, It just disappoints me and honestly I just feel annoyed when I play it and that is the opposite of how a game should make you feel.
The player base only exacerbates the problem. PTFO used to be the way now its COD boys preserving their shitty KD
