Removing Mackay does not fix the map design guys lol. Mackay is a problem on all maps, that’s why I play him, but the map suffers from the same issues regardless of what specialists are played. You can still get on the headglitch rooftops without Mackay.
Cmon bro you're being too harsh DICE was literally founded like 6 months ago, they don't have a multi decade experience of developing multiplayer FPS maps
lmao
😮😅😂
pretty much, lol
To be fair, most of the actual DICE dev team left after the failure of BFV to form Embark studio. EA decided to hire a wave of new developers who have never worked with frostbite (the same engine the ORIGINAL team created YET disliked, but gave the new team like 2 years to learn it then create a AAA gaming experience. BF2042 is the product of that. The reason 2042 feels like it was made by people who have never worked on battlefield is because that’s actually what happened.
lmao
we reached a point, we gamers need to teach developer how to design a game.
dont use big words on them... they arent devs... they are a bunch of useless team trying to design a battlefield
@@Funkertruppen MONKAAAA
3 word story, out of touch
Seems like it's designed to promote squad play and deliberate movement as opposed to solo run and gun.
No, we reached a point where new developers have chance to achieve success, which i dont mind, im developing my own game in free time and i dont do mistakes which EA does.
Did anyone see Shrouds latest video of him reacting to a 2042 dev history? What's crazy is he mentions DICE paid like 60+ content creators for guidance to make the game and yet they didn't listen to one thing they said. They asked him about skins and then showed him the Boris Santa skin, and he said no fucking way. It's crazy how out of touch EA/DICE are.
That's because Dice pays them to say good things about the game to bring in more players, they don't actually care about community feedback or making a playable game.
@@SirohPC wouldn't it be better for them to start listening so at the end they can earn more money as a company?
@velha2999 I mean why would they bother now? Most of the player base is gone (10,000 player 30 day average). They could either install each suggestion or revert changes in later seasons to try and attract new players or give old players a reason to return but it would be much more beneficial (financially) to just take all the suggestions and criticism and package it up in the next Battlefield just like cod did.
Haven C1 cap point spawn's new players in the bowl overlooked by 10 camping vantage points.
Stupid E1 and B1 have open no-cover spawns in the desert.
The sheer incompetence is just unbelievable.
It came to the point where me and the boys in the squad made smoke grenades doctrine in our loadout. Because how the fk are we suppose to figure out where the enemy is firing from? There is too many fking buildings and windows. Its pointless to spot.
So you know whats the strategy? We just run into the objective while smoking out the front and just run into the closest building in the objective and clear it if theres anyone in it. Because thats the only efficient way to do it. So yes, run through the frontlines.. under smoke cover to the nearest building, clear, deploy every fking thing in there, tugs, spawn beacon, anti explosive, ammo box.. etc. Then figure out where to run next.
isn't that amazing, a map that forces teamplay and adaptation on fly to the situations.... that is fun.
Yesterday I played rush xl and I swear my smoke 'nades didn't produce any smoke
@@bubuasqw123 I agree, it adds dynamic. I mean thats how real battles are. However the devs needa thread the line between a much casual player vs people who actually work in a squad via discord. Fortunately the 2 randoms in our squad are very gungho they spawn on us they sticked close to us, they literally PTFO with us. But it was important that me and my cousins always say where they wanna go next and we just do it together while throwing smoke.
Also smoke is so useful in squad revives. Teammate down? We immediately smoke the area to revive.
I've been spamming smokes since the game first came out, its too big of a clusterfuck
you forget that in bf 2042 is a fucking mackay that can go everywhere with his ability, so buildings aspect won't change anything, still mackay can go on the roofs
then make roofs out of combat zones, if it's not supposed to be a thing, if u get what i mean.
mackay just breaks the game, is a character who is constantly showing middle finger to all the rules that this useless team of "devs" is trying to put on game
It’s almost like the hero shooter thing was a massive mistake
@@onemorescout you little tw4ts, ever heard of BF2 and it's expansion? The grappling hook that let ya get nearly everywhere? With maps that were like that, but in a city-scape?
Of course you don't. And here y'all will preach about the "good old days" and classic shooters of DICE. Maybe say that Battle of Karkand haven't got a grenade spam problem, too.
And we predicted this from day 1. It's why Spearhead is the best map still because it's largely rolling hills.
BF V also got this right with Rotterdam and Devastation which Are both excellent maps
If not for the god-awful color grading of Devastation, it's a decent urban map
Devastation is such a goated infantry map
@@vihuminus4740 it's supposed to look like that. You want bright colorful Fortnite grading?
Only thing that kinda ruins Rotterdam for me is how almost all cover has to be build up with the 'Fortification' system. Like, if you don't have support players rebuilding the objectives after taking them from the enemy, it's gonna play like trash 3:
Rotterdam is a top tier map
The bigget problem is Mackay with his grabbling hook. He just can get everywhere. Same problems on basically every map with buildings. People sniping on 100m high skyscrapers... Really dice??
Mind blowing how far away in quality 2042 is compared to bf1 it's obvious EA is now infested with people who care more about money than quality games
Facts.
The problem with accessability is once again (imo) Mackay. They need to make everything accessable, because Mackay otherwise will be the only specialist that can be on every roof and only another Mackay will be able to take him out.
I agree with your points though, while the accessability sounds great on paper, it is a pain to play. Angles to get shot from everywhere... And that honestly is why I tend to play Dozer, because with him you can "save-peek" due to his shield, or block unexpected incoming fire fast when there is no cover around. (also because he looks cool)
I like the bf1 sprint, it looks like a your character is gaining momentum. Bf2042’s instantaneous animation from not sprinting to sprinting looks terrible. Nothing to do with the video subject but it stuck out to me.
2042 has terrible animations, they were trying to hard to copy call of duty.
@@nikolasferreira3247zoomer shooter twitch BS
I can't get over how the sprinting animation looks like the ones from MW3, Ghosts, and Advanced Warfare
bf2042 looks like a game made by trainees in every aspect.
I think if you gave dice to a few random teenagers they would be able to make a better bf game than dice is doing now
Heaven is the most ridiculous map i ever seen
No idea where get shot from
But amians was one the most remarkable map i ever played i my entire fps time and thats true its complex map but you can learn the goddamn map in 3-4 rounds maximum
Just get rid of mckay. Restrict the classes to their traditional weapon sets. It worked for all the other BF titles.
Getting rid of Mackay doesn’t fix the map lmao
@@EndersFPS but it helps the game.
@@JamesBond-zd5jxgetting rid of Mackay would improve the flow of certain maps tremendously. There are so many people who grappling hook to some random structure and sit with a sniper at a crazy angle. Then you add in the fact that on PS5 they force you to use crossplay so you get insta aimed a lot from across the map.
In my experience, in the new map, if you play the game slower, more cautious, and not running around like a maniac...you have more chances of not getting killed 😂...but since the game is designed to be a run around-bunny jumping shooter, well...
Seriously. When I find a locked door in a game, it just pisses me off. This guy is complaining that the battle simulation is too realistic 🤦
Maybe pretend you're in a war and that enemies could be anywhere, Enders. Just found this channel but this hot take isn't it for me.
Worst part is that no matter what they do (which they wont) to fix the map, some operators will always be able to have rooftop access and peak you from shitty angles. Really hope they drop operators for the next one and also think about limiting areas of the maps.
Spot on analysis. I said this as soon as the map was released: there's waaaaay too many windows to peak-fire through.
Lets be honest it's not fucking rocket science, I really can't comprehend how obvious these mistakes are!! Tbh, it makes me think they were purposefully trying to make the worst head glitch map ever created and they smashed it! Other than that....... fucking speechless 🤔
You said everything right. I think Siege of Shanghai and Dawnbreaker are two other good examples of non-campers maps (yes, they have roofs, but don't have windows and the roofs are too high for hard camping). Haven is good in Breakthrough, but bad in Conquest.
It's almost like you can't camp big straight lines, like streets or, oh I dunno, metro tunnels. You absolutely cannot do these things, game kicks you and your peepee falls off.
the thing with bf2042 is that it's such a poorly designed piece of dogsh1t, even if you replaced the existing buildings with well designed ones it wouldn't restrict mackay from going on top of rooftops, or any other specialist from flying over the houses with this "flying bike" (whatever that thing is called, came with S6) and parachuting on top of them. they would have to make it impossible to grapple onto the buildings so mackay can't reach the rooftop with his hook, sort of like how it worked in Hardline. While also making rooftops out of bounds, so you can't parachute onto them. And then, if they did all that, they'd still have to design good buildings with strategically placed windows and doors, and place them on a well designed map layout, tasks which they're clearly not capable of.
point is mackay breaks the game and you should never preorder.
I agree, ive always thought that mackay and the wingsuit bitch are anti-battlefield.
Yes, camp on those roof tops, camp behind window, then I can get my tier1 skin for Zain. (Pretty much at least 15 kills each round with xm25 airburst)
Number one anti-camp specialist besides Casper's drone with c5
I thought it was only me. After playing Redacted for months straight to then go to Haven has been a shock. I originally thought it was my lack of skills (which it probably is still) but damn it seems like you can't get anywhere without getting killed. And I'm not even an aggressive player
For me Mackay is the problem as he will always be able to gain access to unrealistic/restricted areas. Just something about these maps also seem unrealistic as well, but again comes down to poor map design from the onset. Lets be real why on earth would be be fighting over a small village in the middle of a desert???
The map design is horrible. Every map has to have some sandy desert part to it in 2042. It’s so dumb. This would have been a perfect opportunity to use the terrain more and add more mud/foliage instead of sand and random buildings. There’s also no streets in 2042. All of it looks like paths that lead to nothing and a bunch of shipping crates. Then the bigger problem is they made us wait 6 months to release this small amount of content and none of it is original. Even the few “new” guns are from BF4. Then you have streamers that are clearly paid to promote the map and the game that do this same old dance. They pretend that the new season is amazing when it first launches, but after the free to play session time is over they go back to hating the map and season THEY were just promoting. Then they added vehicles to the map which isn’t even designed for vehicles to be there. Why the hell does a map like this need nightbirds and tanks? Wouldn’t they want to PRESERVE the land so the water reserve doesn’t get tainted/destroyed in the first place?
Disagree. These headgliches you showed from a taller building & you could kill all those headglitchers from your position. Thats why you have different story buildings (hight). And you can attack those buildings from all directions & also can destroy them. Yes you have to change your play style & that doesnt mean you have to camp. You can say there should be more artificial cover & topographic elevation to better separate some sections but the buildings are fine. I would like to add different buildings & assets for sure. Like containers & unfinished constructions or half-destroyed buildings. Also about the 4 buildings at 8:00 - Instead of running on the street like chicken go in one of the buildings & kill everybody inside, then you can use it to kill the enemy in the oposite building & move forward. You cant just run & farm people every 3 sec., so adapt, slow down, which doesnt mean camp.
IMO the map is too large/wide to accomodate for higher player count but players concentrate in the middle. Most maps in BF2142 have player count & scale problems. DICE just have to find the hot water again. Pretty sure the map will play better on smaller player count but thats too boring for some ppl. Tactics, yikes ... just hit W & M1
I’d love to see your stats lol. This paragraph screams 1-2 K/D
All accessable buildings+Mackay = recipe for disaster. It's clear that DICE doesn't test their maps, or even play them. Also crossplay is a problem, like 95% of campers are from consoles, if next BF will have that, I'm done with this franchise.
You're right, cross play is a problem. 100% of the cheaters are from PC.
Mackay and Sundance being 60% of the problem accessing random bs. Helis being the other 20% and the last 20% is every floor accessible from pathing through a house.
Didn't they also say 'Haven' was also inspired by Strike at Karkand, looks and looks like it plays nothing like Karkand.
I don't think you've played any of the Karkands then.
@@JonPL 2k hours on Bf3 PC, you're not defending this💩are you?
@Voodoo_S3 so a "newf.g". BF3 had enterable buildings, which weren't that common in BF 2 era, from which the map originates. BF 2 was grenade spam, in BF 3 you should be all too familiar with bringing chokepoints down with RPG \ SMAW fire. And that's what happens on Haven. So it does play, or can play, like Karkand.
So how do you limit roof access when you have MacKay? Just one more reason how the specialists destroy the design of the game.
Rotterdam from bfv had copy-paste buildings from Amiens
rooterdam is actually much better
At least Rotterdam is a fun map to play unlike Haven
@@yang13bruno48Anything from BF5 is MUCH better 😂
@@tacobandit1926 in BFV, i am glad dice finally put in the drag your wounded teammate out of danger feature, Oh wait
I think that was pretty much due to the development time. They did update the textures at least. Something modern-day DICE is too lazy to do...
This is the US side of Arica Harbor and half the buildings have have no back doors
Haven looks like a portfolio piece for Artstation - it looks nice on the renders, but in all other aspects it's a total disaster. It feels like it was done with a bunch of generators, or someone selected the paint foliage tool in Unreal Engine, added a few building types to the list and painted the map with them (I know BF is on Frostbite). You don't get the feeling that there was any kind of planning behind this map. And the fact that it's so small doesn't help with the problems mentioned in the video. Same with the shitty destruction - there's no better way to get the campers out of the building than to shoot them with a tank or rpg, but 1 hit is not enough to destroy a wall.
it speak volumes when flags D and then A are the best flags to capture. No excessive number of buildings you need to keep watch of. i always just try and capture these flags as they are primarily skill based flags to capture.
i agree but roof access or not, mackay is still a fondamental level design breaker, no matter how you improve the map this one character will break it
Dice does it again, counting down the days until we get an announcement that Haven is going to be reworked with a time line to completed around 2-3 months. Great video Enders… Spot on with your assessment. Map Sucks!!!
the map somewhat reminds me of a part of a map from Bad Company 2. I think it might have been called Oasis, could be wrong tho. Unlike 2042 BC2 had amazing maps tho
More like if Arica Harbor and Atacama desert had a son
@@pooternutterduken8658 Arica harbor is also what I was thinking of. I couldn't remember the maps 😂
Yeah Oasis was made out the same buildings in a similar shape that had the B flag slightly overlooked by a row of buildings across the main street. A bit like if the square (C I guess) in Haven was the other side of the main road and there was a river there instead of the D flag. A much better map than this one despite it having issues
I like Arica and Caspian and Valpairaso
Even better map design would result in certain specialists being able to access those "unreachable" areas. Another example of why BF didn't need specialists. :(
Great video, @Enders.
This is a map area you'd expect to find in a Battle Royale or something, with small scale battles between squads. It is not fit to house 64 players and make for a fun gameplay loop.
Yeah if you compare this to BC2 city maps when you could go in all the buildings the difference was 32 players only so there were fewer campers and it didn't piss you off as much as it was more manageable.
My God, the atmosphere alone. BF1 is a Masterpiece.
Still, the Arica Arbor Map for me is much better than this one. A map created in 2008 can be better than all the technology available in 2024, something is not right at Dice.
I feel like again this all comes back to the introduction of specialists and the maps are essentially designed around these specialists which just makes designing the maps way harder than it should be. Yet again its proven that specialists are not needed in battlefield games as its just too hard to design maps around something that should be in the game in the first place.
Specialists almost feel like an afterthought by EA/DICE. They were probably in the office like "hmm whats a quick and easy way to get as much money from microtransactions from our players? Oh yeah overwatch style heros" smh this franchise is beyond saving at this point
"They do not have roof access" What does that matter when you got a flying squirrel and Mackey. Then access is not limited, it's a game design flaw that is more then bad. But I have to say, I had fun trying the map out... 2 rounds! My first thought running from RU side, was this feels off. The design feels "flat" as in no thought or by someone who does not play them selves. That the map has 3 different levels of hight is a problem in it self. We had granade launchers fired at us running on the lower side from the upper side and we could not see them. I would suggest a valley format with only flags at the ends in the valley part. Having destructable buildnings on equal levels but on both sides of the "valley" a lower level with a cross over basement section or 2 drainage pipes and a in the middle drop down well. More like Atacama desert BFBC2 would have been a better choice. Specially if they had hard cover closed off buildnings surrounding the middle flagg with 2 or 3 openings and some narrow passages.
I think it's safe to say dice didn't do much cooking in season 7 after all my friend 😂
Battlefield community when dice tries new things and they fail:
"Why U just dont copy paste it? If it works dont change it!"
Battlefield community when dice litterally copies and pastes stuff and it works:
"U lazy bastards why you copy and paste assets and animations from older games!???"

You make great points here. Why won't the developers listen to experienced gamers that are just making common sense suggestions? Keep the vids coming Enders
I hate this map, I constantly die in a cheap way. The map is also very one-sided, especially on breakthrough. I played it 8 times yesterday and I was put on the same team 8 times and lost 8 times within 15 min. (one of the rounds was decided in 8 min....)
the thing that most incentivizes camping is almost all the covers are headglitches...
and the shitty hitbox when someone is proned
and that isnt only in this map
Lol gotta love when you semi auto tap fire someone laying prone and not a single hit registers even though your reticle is spot on, literally every game.
I want more for the next battlefield, but considering where this battlefield started from compared to now, I think the devs deserve a break. They are clearly trying to make the game better. Do they get no credit for that? They could just abandon the game and not bother to fix it. And tbh I have a lot of fun playing. Of course this game could be better absolutely, but I’m just happy they didnt leave it in the state it launched in. I know we gamers who support dice deserve more, but I dont know I feel like 2042 is actually pretty fun to play. Call me an idiot but I enjoy myself. Just wish I had more friends that played videos games still
Remove D1 from the map completely, that makes B1 and C1 the centre of the map where all the fighting takes place. Remove all of the buildings at C1 and B1 in favour for 2 large abandoned factories with an outdoor area between them. Rotate B1 and C1 so they fit in a straightish line with A1 and E1.
This DICE is no longer the one that produced BF 1 and SW BF 2... I guess a bunch of student devs and inexperienced newcomers, making some serious decisions... also copying Call of Duty and other leading games (why the fuck? we do not need another one of those, we need original BF).
I do not expect anything good from them anymore... not even the next BF will be good/better. :(
u say BF1 and SWBF2 like they were some masterpieces xddd
@@adimain0340Well, compared to this "garbage", yes... :) :P
In my opinion, they are trying to “innovate” instead of taking the good things in every tittle and AVOID the bad stuff and add little things and thats it. If it aint broke dont try to fix it. Sometimes i think that developers are not players
What I was thinking when I played this map. Way to many buildings you can enter.
I won't play the map unless I'm in the Night Bird.
Haven looks like it was AI constructed. Just a bunch if stuff that makes no sense and I don’t understand the obsession with deserts in this game! Can we please get a night-based map with some atmosphere!? Like maps from the Apocalypse DLC from BF1. We need more actual weather effects aside from a random tornado. I still don’t understand how Breakaway has no actual snowfall, but it’s just a snow map and a big marketing point of the game was the weather lol Specialists should have never been in the game because it overpowers and forces you to use certain ones for certain maps. Mackay is the most annoying specialist because nothing is off limits. Then Dice nerfs every other specialist while Mackay can just pretty much do what he wants. Nobody is trying to fight Spiderman web slinging across the buildings in a Battlefield game.
Besides conquest, rushing is very hard with all those vertical angles and people simple doesn't smoke
That's on "people".
ive not played BF since THE FINALS dropped. man its amazing to see what the ex-dice guys can do without EA's influence. when devs actually care and listen its such a refreshing change!
I honestly want Amiens remastered but with the modern day look of the city for 2042 but keeping the same flow and style of the map.
Playing Haven feels like I'm working rather than having fun, especially in the losing team.
Way too many angles and bad visibility.
The only play style that really works for me is being a mobile camper with the SVK, thermal sight and 6KU suppressor but that will get old pretty quickly I imagine.
Its also the setting: an open dessert with buildings. I think it would have been better to put this in a jungle setting where you have more cover from the landscape and plants. Now you are in a building or in the open.
this map stresses me the fuck out making me paranoid. I literally get jumped by four dudes as soon as I shoot my weapon every time.
I dont want fake north korean buildings you cant get in. If its there I want access. Its lame constantly trying to run in places to realise you cant. It makes for poor read ability and breaks immersion
Every single building on haven is taken from Arica harbor
They need a rework of this map :D
They’ll do that and say it’s a new map for season 8 😂
Someone actually agrees with my head glitch complaints :D I'm surprised you haven't mentioned that B is an absolute spawn trap and if you play for that objective you lose
The grapple is what always gets me on this map. Now that I learned what buildings are inaccessible I find myself turning my back on them only to have grapple man with an smg use me as a free kill.
make capture zones only in spots where the center of the capture zone has some form of cover from at least 3 angles, and make it so that the exposed angle requires some work to get to without also being a risk of dying to those in the zone.
if that makes the zones smaller, then you don't necssarily have to remove building access because people will not care about that building if it's not near a POI for their game mode.
everyone knows to play conquest/domination in such a way where the biggest advantage is to stay next to a capture zone and not in it, where you farm spawn kills. the capture zones have to have defense to this with 3 angles (if less, you will get surrounded if in the zone, making it frustrating to have to contest from the inside) or more.
if you create walls/ structures around the capture zones that are high enough to block the visibility of most rooftops, then you don't even need to rework the buildings, and the skill will become how to get closer to those capture zones without dying, but with the reward of defensive angles once there. haven seems to lack this.
the outside of haven needs more things to interact with. period.
If there are campers then where are the gears to root out campers? Gas grenade, flashbangs, flame grenade/molotovs. mini drones, barrel flashlight, thermal goggles. Where are the anti camper gears? And place capture points in the open, but not in direct line of sight from the campers inside buildings so that yes, they can camp but if they don't cap they'll lose.
0:28 God damn that heli
I'm sure that designing maps is one of the most difficult things ever for an fps. We appreciate your thoughts. It must, however, go through rigorous testing to ensure a smooth gameplay loop.
It's the goal of every single online FPS design level it's the way they want do games . In their perfect world reload time takes 20s and shooting 30 round mag out in 2 second doing 25 damage . Main reason beside sbmm that modern FPS suck a lot . The goals in design to make players exposed to threat as much as possible
I'm not a camper... I'm a sniper. But you can see my scope glint with the sun behind me... So there's that bullshit.
But u can't say on the E1 building remake they don't have a roof access when the guy with a grapple would still be able to get up to that roof anyway.
Unless they made it where it would slip u off but they would never think of such a thing
C flag is such a pain in the ass to cap that smokes are pretty much required lol
Yeah this poorly designed map has me using the smoke launcher (as well as the 2 smoke hand grenades) instead of ammo box sometimes because like god damn 2 smoke hand grenades is not enough to help push through. And I hate using the smoke launcher.
Map design in video games has got worse and worse and worse over the last decade. Can't name any map on any modern shooter that's got what would be called a classic map in 10 years.
Remember when those copy pasted buildings were fully destructible 14 years ago in BC2?
I agree with most of your points, however even if they restricted entry to half of the currently accessible buildings in Haven, Mackay can still get on top of all of them and reach areas where other specialists can't. IMO the whole specialist system has destroyed any chance at decent map balance for the majority of this game. Really hope the next BF just has standard soldiers without dumb abilities
This just further proves that the next game absolutely cannot have Specialists.
It doesn't matter how balanced and precise you make the maps, including areas that are meant to be intentionally accessible or off limits, when you have characters like Sundance or MacKay who can just bypass those limitations and go wherever they damn well please.
Haven is a deathtrap
I'm not the best player in the world but I hate this Haven map, so disappointed when I started playing it
This is why I never got into BF4 or any battlefield game after 3. Devs completely forgot the concept of laning and not having areas exposed to an insane amount of angles. Maps like these make it impossible to manouvre through them intelligently. I still stand by BC2 and BF3 having the best maps in the franchise. Amiens and Argonne from BF1 were good too.
This map would be better used as a 32 or 48 player map. That would naturally bring down the amount of angles that you are actively being shot at from.
Moreso it should be used with Control, shutdown and rush game modes too. But still at the lower player count.
Don't forget the head glitch stairs.... I triggered a kid last night on FNB Battlefield Discord for calling him out and then wrecking him 🤘🏻
I hope all these devs take note. There are too many of too much on maps in of all games now. I check 5 angles get killed from the 6th with 4 more angles I didn’t get to. Great video
here's a fix to the problem at hand that i see is being overlooked.
they need to bring back destructible environments back cause as far as i can tell you cant destroy buildings in 2042 like you could in bad company 2 thru battlefield hard line.
Wherever I am on this map I have this freaking Deja Vu feeling.
Bro, you are being a little harsh on the game developer. I have played around 50 games on this map and it's fine. Yes, I have experienced a lot of campers in the buildings, but we can use smokes to reach them. We can literally destroy the buildings using tanks or explosives
I think the map should have a basement inside the building with underground tunnels
Enders for Battlefield Director
Straight facts once again, 6 month gap in between seasons btw.
The comment "I'm getting shot at one thousand different angles" in this game is no joke. It's real.. Literally.
And there is some "metal roofs" , where you see through with thermal scope and can hit the enemy through
It.
Anyone else have major hit detection issues on this map using the G428 and the T4 Thermal? In my last game it was horrid.
You call them headglitch buildings, I call them Airburst buildings 😈
But thats what we wanted: We wanted DICE to use their successfull BF-games and their features as a template. It's actually a good idea to recycle successfull layouts. Yes, blatant copy and paste isn't optimal... and their creativity seams so be nonexistent. But hey! Atleast they begin to understand the concept.
I just don’t understand why they just don’t do remakes of the popular Battlefield 2 maps. I mean, players would love Karkand, Mashtuur City, Sharqui, and not mentioning all the B3 maps. This Haven map is not the greatest but Redacted is the worst. Give Enders a call and ask him to join the team. I would do this if I was CEO.
I gotta agree with you on this and I usually don't agree with you on most things. This map is dogshit. It's not fun having to peek out from a corner and see multiple buildings with multiple windows and multiple roof tops. It's absolutely ridiculous, it's basically unplayable to me. I'm not sure how we went from the Redacted map to this nonsense. I don't have a problem with game itself, it's just this map I'm really having a hard time actually have fun on. DICE gotta do better, I know they're capable.
At this point i truly believe the headglitch buildings etc...... thats all some sort of shadow SBMM and 100% intended.
So i havent played this game since the demo when i knew the game was a dumpster fire, i installed a free trial on my series X just to see whats up with the game: I will never buy a BF game again. Even after all this time the game feels so bare bones, matches are filled with bots, its not fun and the overall map design…whoever made these maps should be fired and black listed from developing. Utter sh*tshow of a product. Dice and EA should be ashamed of what they did to this great IP
this would be a great map for starship troopers vs the aracnoids. the troopers sit on the rooftops and shoot down on the bugs
Decorative buildings.!!! Thats what we need in a urban map
To be honest guys in real life every building is accessible. So what’s the point here exactly. a good gameplay can differ from player to player. In my personal case, I like when everything is successful and match the reality. I don’t care about camping. Everybody can play. How he wanted to play. This doesn’t have an impact on gameplay. I would love to see games to lean more to the reality of life instead of being some hybrid shit gameplay, hybrid, mutant.
