Yo actually that GS/OKC rivalry has so much history to it, at least more than most people realize 2013-14, GS is a playoff team but not really a contender, but expected to be a second round team or so, but they do have two incredible games with OKC, the first is settled by an Iguodala game winner and the second settled by Westbrook hitting a nice ass three in OT, and then KD went off for 54 for a 9 point win in a game where Westbrook was injured. 2014-15, GS suddenly goes from good playoff team with a star in Curry, to champions with the league MVP and 67 wins. Suddenly, OKC, a team that was supposed to take over the NBA, is no longer the focus as GS is the new exciting team in the West. 2015-16, great regular season games, but GS won either all of them or 3/4, I can't remember, but Curry also had that insane game winner in OT. Still one of the worst moves to happen to the NBA in recent history. OKC is the most 'What if?' team in, dare I say it, NBA history. What if Harden, Westbrook, and Durant won a championship together? What if OKC stepped up their game against the Heat in 2012, they were a better team by one little win. What if OKC never blew a 3-1 lead against the Warriors and defied all odds and expectations by winning a chip? I totally agree with you, an unlucky organization who should have already had plenty of rings yet is upset by other contenders like the Spurs or Warriors. You should make a video about the 2015 Clippers, they sort of had the whole unlucky issue as well but did not make it to the conference finals.

Jawpoppin Off ginobili stepped out of bounds before dion touched him so technically the thunder should’ve gotten a free throw and another chance to inbound
Nineties Baby Ray That’s IF they caught that. There were like 5 different violations that happened at the same time. It was literally impossible not to notice that happening. It was a lot easier to not notice Manu stepping on the line

Durant performance against the Warriors was mediocre, horrible, disgusting, and nothing was there . He literally shot 0/11 in the first quarter of game 6. Pitifully . He game got better with the Warriors regardless how some look at it . Yes, he joined a team that beat him from being down 1-3 against the Thunder, but it happens . He felt like he could when there and he did
Lamar Hardy it’s because he joined a team where they knew how to play together as a team, not play iso ball every time like okc. you can call it “ring chasing” or not, but he went there because those players up in golden state knew how to have fun when playing as a whole and knew how to move the ball all around for easy shots. steph makes his teammates better because he facilitates the floor like a true point guard and gives you the ball when you have the hot hand, something russ couldn’t do. russ is a great player for sure, but he’s not a leader like steph. okc started favoring russ as time went on and kd knew it. russ wasn’t even a great shooter at all and he kept deciding to shoot the ball and brick all those shots while kd kept telling him to pass it up and let someone else score. so idk about you, but okc should’ve trade away russ after that 2012 finals because he’s the one that played horrible, took more shots than kd and kept costing okc those close games against miami, even though kd was balling in that 2012 finals. james harden could’ve ran the point guard position better than russ if they traded russ away and not harden. why do you think kd left? it’s because he knew he couldn’t win with a hard headed guy like russ, someone that couldn’t shoot and someone that always acted like he was the franchise player when all along it was kd who kept taking them past the first round. now look where russ is at, another year of getting bounced in the first round and he keeps proving why kd made the right choice to go play with a team that had a better system and better team chemistry. russ is just a stat chasing brick machine that will probably go ringless as long as he’s the face of okc. sooner or later he’s gonna drive paul george out of okc like he did to kd, just watch.
There was never a okc/gsw rivalry which is what everyone who started watching in 2016 gets wrong. They had never met in the the playoffs before and at the time GSW was the overwhelming favorites. Okc didn’t have the coaching or matching talent to be a contender only reason they made so many wcf and deep playoff runs was because KD/Westbrook combo which was never compatible to begin with. Just goes to show how talented those 2 are
It's the idea of a rivalry building is what he's saying. In the regular season when Curry hit that game winner it was a good game and one of those Best of the West games. I think they would've became rivals eventually especially after blowing a 3-1 lead and having something to prove the next season, but then again it was another "Close one" for the thunder
I'm not judging him for making his own decisions, but I can't imagine how KD can feel right knowing he joined an already established team and winning a championship with him. Especially a team of which he was a win away from beating and making it to the finals. If it were me in that situation, my super competitive ass would have been like "naw let's run it back" and stayed in OKC just to beat the Warriors. Doing what he did would have left me empty inside. But that's just me though.
Thunder fans are gonna cry But seriously as a Warriors fan I had hope but I was super worried when we went down 3-1. I thought it was over for sure. I’m glad that Klay caught fire in those games or we would’ve lost that series.
After 2012 They trade Harden Westbrook injured Ibaka injured KD missed whole season Regroup 2016 and almost beat Warriors. Thunder just couldn't catch a break.
I think that OKC had a pretty good chance to beat Cavs if they overcame GSW. Cavs were 3-1 down before Green was out in the finals, while OKC where 3-1 up with Green, and even they did pretty well in the game 6 for all the things Thompson did. Also, beating 73 win team would have given them an immense boost.
followed that series like crazy. It was so sad to see it play out the way it did. It's not like game 6 was the nail in the coffin either, they were up 13 in game 7
OKC probably should have won the series. I forgot exactly which game, but either when OKC was up 3-1 or was about to be up 3-1, Draymond Green hit Adams at groin area as he has done many times around then. Green would have been given technical foul in any other time, but since OKC was up 3-1(or soon to be), and he only need 1 more before he gets suspended for next game, he didn't get called for tech. If this tech was given and Green didn't play a game, OKC could have won the series. Later in the finals, Green does this again to Lebron in game 4, refs initially didn't call tech for it, but since they went up by 3-1, they gave out the tech to Green AFTER the game to suspend him so the series get extended.
@@spirituallyoutmymind8006 your reply is different, I'm calling out your bias statement but your replying about Curry leaving? So KD "purposely" choked to have a reason to leave? H Y P O C R I T E😂

Great Vid Andy! This year, this rivalry could be reincarnated because MVPG is having an incredible season and with little chance they could beat the Dubs in 7. If that happens, Imma buy y‘all MVPG shirts
If you watch game 6 again, you’ll see the huge flaws OKC had. Whenever KD had the ball, he strictly had to iso and not run team plays bc two players would stay in contradicting spots on the court (enes & Adams), and you had two “shooters” that couldn’t even shoot to the point that GSW was leaving them at least open between 3-5ft (Roberson & waiters).
The KD era Thunder were a team that no team wanted to face. Bad luck and trading Harden ruined their dynasty.

Lamar Hardy it’s because he joined a team where they knew how to play together as a team, not play iso ball every time like okc. you can call it “ring chasing” or not, but he went there because those players up in golden state knew how to have fun when playing as a whole and knew how to move the ball all around for easy shots. steph makes his teammates better because he facilitates the floor like a true point guard and gives you the ball when you have the hot hand, something russ couldn’t do. russ is a great player for sure, but he’s not a leader like steph. okc started favoring russ as time went on and kd knew it. russ wasn’t even a great shooter at all and he kept deciding to shoot the ball and brick all those shots while kd kept telling him to pass it up and let someone else score. so idk about you, but okc should’ve trade away russ after that 2012 finals because he’s the one that played horrible, took more shots than kd and kept costing okc those close games against miami, even though kd was balling in that 2012 finals. james harden could’ve ran the point guard position better than russ if they traded russ away and not harden. why do you think kd left? it’s because he knew he couldn’t win with a hard headed guy like russ, someone that couldn’t shoot and someone that always acted like he was the franchise player when all along it was kd who kept taking them past the first round. now look where russ is at, another year of getting bounced in the first round and he keeps proving why kd made the right choice to go play with a team that had a better system and better team chemistry. russ is just a stat chasing brick machine that will probably go ringless as long as he’s the face of okc. sooner or later he’s gonna drive paul george out of okc like he did to kd, just watch.
damn might be the best depth for the center ever, ibaka, Adams and kanter
Nick Lay Ibaka played PF
yes sir he did, but he was also listed and played as a pf/C@@nbabackcourtmedia
Nick Lay yeah I guess
Loved the podcast my guy keep doin your thing bro
This was the saddest playoff moment for me as a okc fan😭😭😭
Basically it was a documentary of how a snake came into existence
Never seen 2 ads in one video 😂
Great video and the podcast is dope!
REALLLLYYY Wish the Thunder had PULLED off Beating the Warriors this Season. Soooo Close.
Thunder fans are gonna cry
But seriously as a Warriors fan I had hope but I was super worried when we went down 3-1. I thought it was over for sure. I’m glad that Klay caught fire in those games or we would’ve lost that series.
I remember eating fried fish watching the ok cook the thunder and then I remember being at a party looking at my phone and golden state came back 😂
This year the Thunder are my favorite to win the western conference.
lets all not forget the time Lee Jenkins had ATL vs CHA in the East Finals LMAOOOOOOOOOO 2:52
This was our deepest team yet 😢
2:50 I couldn't help but laugh at the Hawks-Hornets ECF
the 2016 finals could've been Toronto vs OKC, still the finals we got is my favorite finals ever
Toronto? Don't you mean cleavand?
Trippy gameing ECF we’re Cleveland vs Toronto. It went on to 6 games.
After 2012
They trade Harden
Westbrook injured
Ibaka injured
KD missed whole season
Regroup 2016 and almost beat Warriors.
Thunder just couldn't catch a break.
This Dubs fan says great video, Andy!
This video almost makes me cry being one the biggest Thunder fans
Bruh this video broke my heart as a Thunder fan
Ur podcast was fire
Your podcast is 🔥
Gonna cry before going to sleep! 😭😭😭😭😭 ThunderUp all day!
Another great vid
I think that OKC had a pretty good chance to beat Cavs if they overcame GSW. Cavs were 3-1 down before Green was out in the finals, while OKC where 3-1 up with Green, and even they did pretty well in the game 6 for all the things Thompson did. Also, beating 73 win team would have given them an immense boost.
I was watching this game live and as a thunder fan, I was so heartbroken at that time. I hated Klay so much in that game. Man... What couldve been 😕
As an Thunder fan this is depressing.
followed that series like crazy. It was so sad to see it play out the way it did. It's not like game 6 was the nail in the coffin either, they were up 13 in game 7
Lmao that first playoff prediction in the east though, Atlanta beating cavs and the ecf being Charlotte vs Atlanta 😂
Whoever predicted the bracket at 2:50, i would like a nice word with them 😂
How different would the league be right now if KD and okc would've won this game?
As a thunder fan, this is painful memories
I remember the fight they had sometimes.
im literally crying watching this video
If only KD stayed
Yes I would use him in 2k
If only he wouldn’t have purposely throwed the playoffs...
@@spirituallyoutmymind8006so KD blowing a 3-1 lead it's on purpose? But when Curty blew a 3-1 lead it's because Lebron is "great" 😂
@@BullyMaguire387 I’m sorry ? I don’t recall curry leaving to go the same team that did that to him . 😂
@@spirituallyoutmymind8006 your reply is different, I'm calling out your bias statement but your replying about Curry leaving? So KD "purposely" choked to have a reason to leave? H Y P O C R I T E😂
I totally agree that it is very disappointing that we missed out on a Warriors /Thunder rivalry , that would've been great to watch those two battle each other for the crown in the west ! Very sad that we were robbed of that 😡
The rivalry is still on 😈
Yoo make a video on Kevin Johnson please!!!
Don’t know why but always can feel warriors can get back even they lost 15 or 18points a game or even 1-3 . Then the same feeling about cavaliers that year when Green got suspended . Feels bad man....
hey Andy hoops when are you gonna do another podcast it been 2 months.
the time when kd was one of my favorite players
I remember when my coach told me that the spurs gonna sweep the thunder and i told em they would win.nice to remeber that again
thanks to ref
I saw this in my subscriptions and could just sigh.. What could have been.
Some of y’all still whining about KD’s move mannn get over it 😂
Best memory when i became a die hard thunder fan.. just sad 😢
Russ was their best player during that run. Yet people say he can’t lead a team, he led that one nearly to the title
Exactly. Best During Regular Season & Playoffs
Great Vid Andy!
This year, this rivalry could be reincarnated because MVPG is having an incredible season and with little chance they could beat the Dubs in 7. If that happens, Imma buy y‘all MVPG shirts
As good of a season pg13 is having he’s not close to what KD has done in the past. And I’m a pg13 supporter
The thunder blew a 3-1 lead
Warriors choked a 3-1 lead....
*in the finals*
Feb 26 2016 maaaaaaaaaan still heat mike breens voice echoing
The rivalry is never over as long as westbrook breathes
Why not put your podcast on google play?
Mohawk Westbrook 💯💯💯💯💯
Respect to all thunder fans who almost cried while watching to this
And OKC,SAS and Cavs are my team to win it that year
If you watch game 6 again, you’ll see the huge flaws OKC had.
OKC took every last health remaining for Curry, he was tired after that tough 7 games series.
I’m not a OKC fan but I miss KD in that jersey
