I never thought I would see it happen, but Jinder is actually getting over. I've always had a theory that the WWE audience should stop getting mad when the company tries to smash someone over, because he will just be popular in a few years whether the fans want him to be initially or not, so lets skip the middle part. Jinder was always the exception there, but it turns out to be true for him too.

He should've never come in front of the camera. He should've remained a backstage presence, be the money guy or whatever. He can have final say on things, or his company but he should have hired people to handle the booking and the business aspects, industry vets and people with experience. Almost like he had that to begin with and has consistently forced them out.

I used to run a semi-successful efed when I was 15 and 16 years old on Yahoo groups and I often wonder if I ever encountered little Tony at that time.
The saddest and most hilarious thing about this entire situation was Jinder basically getting comeback of the night by asking "who tf is Hook?". Which he has a point. Unless you're a huge AEW fan, you'd probably have no idea who the hell Hook even is, and that's a fact.
And Im not even sure if he really does know who hook is 😂

Hook is a prime example of how bad Tony is in booking his own company. The kid had great potential - he’s athletic, can go in the ring, had a potentially interesting character and his father is Taz which not only means he’s got someone who understands the business in his corner, but this can be used in storylines when necessary. Tony took all of this and managed to make Hook into a bona fide lower mid-card wrestler who regularly gets lost in the shuffle. In many ways, botching that much potential to that extent is a talent in itself.
I remember Hook getting some reaction from the audience by just appearing.
But he's booker of the year.... two times!
And on the other side of the fence there's Dom Mysterio who you can see has been taken care of by WWE very well. Two kids with huge potential but one is getting better every day and the other is standing still.

I love that WWE under TKO is so much more involved in trolling Tony. When it was just Vince they ignored him. But now they’re full blown trolling their competition and I love it.
TKO knows just how to push the buttons just enough to get Tony to throw a tantrum. On top of that he just made Jinder the most over guy for WWE.
I want to see them do more with Impact to help them beat AEW, just like they did with ECW during the Monday Night Wars.

ECW had real legit talents and had this cool underground feeling, Impact has neither of those factors.

I've always kinda liked Jinder. No, he's not amazing in the ring, but he isn't bad either. He's fairly believable, above average on the mic, and you can tell that he puts a lot of effort into his art.
He could be a great manager for veer and sanga. They have a great look (and size), if WWE would book them strong they could be a fun heel tag team champions

He's got a good scary look, can cut a serviceable promo, and he's not too old to be a believable champion just yet. But if they want him to get a big pop when he shows up for legends night it's probably about time to start giving him some accomplishments and memorable moments.

As a lifelong wrestling fan at 39, I never thought I'd see a day where J.C. talking about how ridiculous the business is online is more entertaining than the product itself.
This actually shows why Tony was never able to capitalize on things like Kingston, Wardlow, The Acclaim or Pillman JR when they were hot for various reasons. WWE do a promo where a guy who has no wins in a year interacts with a massive star and they instantly get something out of it.
The simple fact is in wrestling where the Booker tells people who is winning and losing what the fans think about someone is much more important and a good Booker can make people forget about the last 12 months in a moment.

Tony Khan broke the number 1 rule of wrestling Twitter: don't hinder Jinder. I hated the fact that Jinder was in this spot on Monday, and now I desperately want him to be world champion.
Tony’s Abadon tweet is funny..cause that’s literally what Jinder originally did when he won the WWE title in 2017. He won a fatal 4 way match for a world title shot. But Jinder was at least involved on tv before that point, even interacting with Gronk at wrestlemania. Abandon literally came from nowhere and won a title shot everyone knew she was losing, then disappeared right back off tv.

With the return of Punk & Orton, the rise of Cody & Knight, the removal of McMahon & Laurinaitis, and the "overness" of Uso & "May-hall," things seem to be kind of exciting. Makes me want to put my WWE fanboy hat on again.
