Yep, had a friends act like a jerk once insulted me, my wife my mother, everything. So I told him to fuck off. Week and a half later a mutual friend set up a talk and the jerk tried to apologize he said he was messed up mentally because his mom had just had a stroke. Surprised I asked when that happened. He said January. This was the end April. We are no longer friends.

This was the most embarrassing thing Tony has ever done. His first tweet had people laughing at him, but then he went after 2 highly respected legends and that turned ugly. Then after being humiliated he tried to use his mom to gain sympathy. It's a pattern of behavior with him. He'll embarrass himself and then use a personal story to make people feel sorry for him, he's just a rich kid who has never had real adversity.

The problem with Tony is that he dwells on stuff only the smart marks give a crap about. Instead of focusing on building his company and attracting more fans, he caters to them. So when he loses a metric only they care about he freaks out. AEW beat NXT and Triple H responded “good for them” in a condescending manner. NXT beat AEW and Tony Khan spent two days coping about it online.
This is his passion project, and he can't deal with the criticism. Add that with the fact that most people there are out for self.

I think it's a hard balance to be in, as AEW has the same problem a lot of indies have had since the early 2000s, that being these federation become a "their club" bunch of gatekeeping and "we are true AEW fans" leading to die-hards rejecting bigger more talented usually ex WWE stars who could actually help draw more fans. as they are not "originals" and a lot of promotions end up annoying the loyal fan base but also fail to attract the new/casual fans who could take it or leave it.

Real talk- with all jokes aside: Brian's assessment of Tony's social skills coming from message boards was not only the realest thing I've ever heard on this show, but also a topic that needs to be discussed a whole lot more in this day and age. The big problem with Tony is that he's too meek to be seen as a ruthless SOB in business and two unhinged to be seen as a retrained, focused professional. Thus he is in direct competition he comes off at best as a melodramatic promoter and at worst as an immature mark who can't handle any criticism. Some trash talk can make you seem confident; Tony's just makes him seem like a petulant weenie.

Cornette is 100% right in his take that Edge has never been on show with so little ratings. And as a few people mentioned on twitter, AEW didn't hold any moments of silence for HHH after his heart attack. Or waited to sign Saraya and whatever other WWE talents they got during that time. He's a rich, man-child that can't understand that the world doesn't revolve around him. And that people may have different taste in pro wrestling. He can't wrap his brain around the fact that people are as excited for his incoherent product with 30 different segments on a 2 hr show. It's a mess. He's hopeless.

The fact that more people have seen Tony’s tweets this past week combined more than all of dynamite since march and rampage + collision all year is hilarious.
Instead of being at the press scrums, dancing on the stage after one of his talent got dropped on his head, having on-air birthday celebrations, and going on Twitter to throw tantrums or argue with fans, Tony Khan needs to take a step back from TV and social media. I believe he's hurting his own company, as well as the talent behind it, by not taking a step back. Someone needs to tell Tony Khan that whenever he does this, he takes away all the attention from his talent and instead puts it all on himself.
Vince Russo did this great video stating AEW's main problem is Tony Khlown being the face of the company and not the talent. He said Tony needs to quit posting, sitting with talent at scrums, etc.
