First promotion of non-terrans, first yorpil into battle and leading the squad, posterchild of the firearms display, now a trainer handling not only female but male yorpil and the other races as well. (Also having fun with them it seems). What i was commenting about was her setting the standard and being completely unaware. She's constantly being challenged and overcoming said challenges effectively.
@@meistersgarage748 it's mostly due to, from her point of view, the sheer cultural difference between humans and yorpils and how the former treat her as one of their own while the latter require her to prostrate herself and be seen as lesser. if anything the yorpil elders simply solidified her view as to who her people really are. that's my take on it anyway.

The first timeni heard them repeatedly and consistently use the term "mag" instead of clip i knew i could trust them to habdle the military aspects of this story right. Well, she's already a corporal, and to get promoted to sergeant, odds are she'll have to go to NCO school, and I don't know if the author wants to take her out for that.

Also, still hoping we get to meet her mom at some point! One one hand, she sounds pretty traditional yorple, and is probably horrified on some (or many!) levels about what her daughter has become, but on the other, I'm sure she still loves her.
4:45 - cigarettes do smell foul. It's the crap quality tobacco they use. This compared to pipe tobacco or proper cigars ( i.e. NOT the kind you'd find in just about every gas station in North America). Cigarettes have an odor I would describe as "sharp". It's irritating when I'm at a cigar bar and some jackass lights up a cigarette. You can smell it almost immediately.
I really appreciate how accessible this series is. Each episode we get a proper description of everything we need to know. race names, their characteristics, and even some brief mentions of their history, at least on the need to know basis. they make it super easy to get into the series at any point, instead of diving all the way back from the very beginning.
I abselutly love this series. I can't help but wonder how Frairen and the other alien soldiers would react to a group of human children. In some kind of social relationship setting perhaps.

For some reason, there's seems to be an overlap between days with a new _Frairen and Rimiki_ story and days I'm in a good mood. Keep the stories coming, so I can investigate the connection further! Seeing Frairen get back into real action, soon, would be nice. More pressing, though, is to get some light on what sort of cloak and dagger conspiracy Miss Rimiki is up to!

Now that the Training rotation is over and Remiras School is ending how about sending them all together to the new station Ms. rimiki + Remira as intergalactic diplomats (Remira as trainee under Ms. Rimiki, she was after all Ms. Rimikis favourite student) + Caden (+crew) as engineer to get the Station ready for the Big Mouth Bass and Frairen+Crew as security until the station is ready for the Bass. I want to know remiras reaction to the relationship between frairen and rayburn and that Ms. Rimiki is also together with a Human.

Have to agree with you. Hated my parents cigarettes when they smoked but the smell of pipe tobacco was much more pleasing to the nose
