Great video, the battery monitor has a new product KG140F, and the color screen is better.

    Very clear explanation!!
Could you please tell me how to set on the Coulometer the capacity of the batteries (LiFepo4) if this is not known?
    Thank you in advance.

Do you have a video showing how to use the shunt to perform a capacity test?

Thanks for this. I found it super helpful. When you were charging the battery (and showing the meter flashing), does this go through the shunt too, or is the charger connected directly to the battery terminals?

Hello, thank you for watching. I have a how to wire a shunt up video also. As I broke the video into two parts, people switch off if I woffle on to much. Let me know of your struggling to find it, I can send you a link. Answer yo your question, yes when charging this also goes through the shunt, as the shunt needs this to add the charged amps to what is in the cells. If you connect to the battery, the shunt is unable to record the charged current. Hope that helps.

@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris Thanks. I watched the other one too but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention! I'll watch it again. 😊

Can shunt protect from E.M.P or solar flair

..Hello I can know if it is possible to extend the monitor cables through connections with other cables...??It is also possible to do this with the Cell monitoring display?? I should mount the battery on one side and the two displays about 4 m apart

I believe you can buy longer cables and extension cables. In my other video wiring up a shut I did touch on I don't think you can extend as two of the cables are shielded. I guess you could extend if you shielded the cables.

@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris Do you think I can put and stretch with 2 or 3 extensions without problems?

How do you determine what shunt Amp size to buy?

OMG. What a mess with the wiring throughout. Completely complicated the explanation. I’d fire are 1st year apprentice if he created that wiring mess. Appreciate your effort but ………

..just for clarity, you speak LiFePo4 but the graph text reads Li ion....

Hello, yes. Both have the same profile pretty much. That area where they stay a set voltage for some time.

I for one do not touch both terminals of a battery like he did. WTH?
