@@damyr Indeed! It's and example of a) the fact that the little details can make all the difference! And b) that some companies just don't understand what their customers like about their products. That little logo brought this watch to 'life' and conjured an ocean adventure (even if subliminal) every time one checked the time! Basically, it's what made the watch special and so desirable!
@@stevezodiac575 Totally agree with everything you've said. Unfortunately, I've read somewhere Casio had to drop out the fish because of some copyright issues with it. Tho, they really could just put some other sea creature there. For example, a nice little seahorse would be cool... or a dolphin... or whatever...
@@damyr Yes, I read the Marlin was licensed to Casio. Perhaps the copyright owner got too greedy? Finding a replacement logo might be a (small) challenge: seahorses make me think Omega, dolphins (early) Seiko (and marlins Casio). But to simply give up on on the concept of having an ocean related logo was a huge (and expensive) mistake I think! They should have designed their own logo! Perhaps they decided that was 'too hard' for just one watch model. Often the logo represents the brand or a line/group of their watches (e.g. Prospex logo). The marlin, I think, was just the Duro..
Absolutely worth every penny.i ❤ my blue bezel blue dial duro on a stainless and polished steel bracelet that's 22mm all the way around... People think it's a rollie all the time...
I slapped a brand new stainless steel band on my Pepsi and my cousin thought I had Rolex on 😂 I love the watch. For those saying it looks too big try replacing the band like I did. That rubber band that comes with gives it a larger look and feel. With the steel band it wears like a 41 or 42.
for some reason ive always disliked bracelets that give play and move around, i prefer mine more solid, has more of a quality feel about it. this is the only real reason that would stop me from buying a seiko
Now make it in 40mm so that it can fit the average wrist. I had to give mine to my brother. It was just too large and it ended up in a corner of a drawer before I gave it away.
I still miss the Marlin. But any sea creature would be better than no Marlin!
That’s why I bought three with the marlin. It’s not the same watch without it.
I agree. It looks too ordinary now. They could put at least a freaking sea cucumber there.

Long Island Watch also has a steel, with solid end links for the duro
That green bezel looks amazing ❤
Bring back the Marlin, add saphire crystal & make it a 42mm and it could easily sell for $129-$150
Bezel feels way too cheap for that price point. The whole watch would feel too cheap at that price.
there is a chinesse brand called balmer the y make homage to this with sapphire crystal cost much cheper but i dont know about their WR
40mm is sweet spot for almost all
Ya except sapphire automatic movements are usually $500+
Can never make a watch person happy smh
ASMR so satisfying when you unrapped the plastic 😮
Bought the exact one today🎉
I bought the one with a marlin although it's more expensive because something looks missing without it.
Beautiful
I wish they would release it in 40mm
they released in 38mm but with only 5atm
Casio states 38 but it's actually 36mm. Just a bit too small for most I'd have thought.
The new release is only 36mm with 16mm lug width. Too small
@@alex-qo6qbyeah 5 atm is trash
definitely God Tier!!!!
Personally i like the old one better
Loved the asmr
I already put mine on a strapcode bracelet.
It looked better with the Marlin on the dial. Nice watch by the way.
Nice sprite
For the price and the quality, you can't beat it!
I wihs they made it in smaller sizes cause i really like it but it would look ridiculous on my tiny wrist 😅
seiko dress KX: Hold my beer.
@@steelsteez6118the Seiko dress KX is an amazing watch in its price range but not comparable to the Duro as it retails for 3-4 times more.
band size 16mm what the kekekeke
Que the Itty bitty wrist mafia in 3,2,1.
Hulkish Casio 👍🏻
U mean Starbucks. Hulk would be a green dial and bezel.
@@harryx6677 I am not an expert in watches nicknames so I do trust you on that. 👍🏻
Starbucks Duro Diver. Me like. (thumbs)
Casio duro = marlin
I have Casio Duro black dial..green bezel looks very beautiful..❤❤❤
kermit for the masses
Đẹp quá.
Is this MDV-107?
makes a sub look expensive for what it is .
I like all your videos, I am also a watch collector from India. Please also review Zeppelin Watches.
Just uploaded 🤜🤛
No more marlin
How much the Price, Please. Thanks. 🙏

Do any stainless steel band fit on it?
Love the color !
Where is the famous logo on the dial ? 😉
They had to let it go because they lost the marlin license.
@@knutjunker2019 Yes..I know.. Also, this license was only for sale in the US..I got one imported from US to India..
Is this Indian varient?????
So as a classic Duro, what's the Water Resistance?
200m
I love mine!
But the crystal suuuuuuucks!
50m...

Casio 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I have this watch, but the bracelet is too stiff. Not comfortable at all.
That’s bezel 😂
Tu as tourné ta lunette d’un cran trop loin 😅
Not available on Casio website any idea about availability for this watch
Hmm... Should be. Look for MDV-107D-3AV
Probably amazon has it
Available now! Check before it’s sold out.
Whats the size of it.some reviewrs are telling its 38mm now as compared to old
The 38mm is a different model.
The 38mm one has 50m WR only.
It doesn't belong on a bracelet 😂
Make it 39mm with sapphire
I bought this watch twice. Both with marlin logo. 107 without the fish logo seems to bland with no character
Marlin fish logo 🐟😓
Now make it in 40mm so that it can fit the average wrist. I had to give mine to my brother. It was just too large and it ended up in a corner of a drawer before I gave it away.
Casio has released a 38.5mm duro ❤but with 50M WR😔☹️😫
If you have a smaller wrist size, then a diver is not for you anyway. Rather stick to classic style watches.
Shame about the folded links.
Menuda copia del Rolex ,no??
Si niño lo que tu digas y sueñes 🤭
@@hackerxhgcSigo soñando con Shakira .
too submariner homagey...much prefer the Seiko SPB series or marine masters

Looks great. Where did you get the bracelet from, model?
It's a factory bracelet. Model MDV-107D-3AV
@wristwatchcheck how can you get this bracelet
Is it a solid bracelet?
In that price bracket? Don't be silly.
