I did the challenge at my mocal PXG in Charlotte. My current driver set up was better, but as I was there I went ahead and had a full bag fitting. Ended up with new Gen 6 irons and wedge which came in earlier this week. All in all, great experience. Awesome video once again Gabe!

Love it! I did the challenge a couple weeks ago. Black Ops beat both distance and dispersion over my Callaway. Got my new driver today. Fitter had 46 fittings at the time and hadn’t lost a single challenge. The new Black Ops driver is impressive. Fairway woods are just as good BTW.

PXG Black Ops is a great driver. Got fitted and now I’m close to 15-20 yds more carry. It’s straight and forgiving. I’m glad I picked one up and it’s miles ahead of my old Callaway Epic.

That shaft likely has more to do with the PXG's performance than the head itself.
I've played the Titleist TSR3 since its introduction, mainly because of the low spin. But, as I've aged, my swing speed has slowed considerably, and now it's in the 100-102 range. So, I went to PXG and did the fitting (not the challenge). My fitter has me into a Black Ops (not the Tour) with a Ventus shaft. We're at 9 degrees and popped up to 10.5, and we moved some weights around. It's on order.
But here's something else: I took what I learned in the fitting and made some changes to my Titleist driver. I set it to A3 (up and draw), then moved the back weight to the toe to counterbalance it a bit. Boom, boom, and boom. This tells me how valuable a fitting is, and how important it is to know your settings. Do I regret paying the $800-plus for the PXG? No, not at all. I suspect it will be an even better fit for me. But it's the process, not the final product.

PXG is a beast
I have a pxg 0211 all pretty standard and love it maybe a driver fitting may get a few more yards and accuracy
You need to try the new Korean Proxima shaft. It’s not as whippy as AutoFlex and more stout but is very, very, very straight but still gives you a kick in distance. It’s more in line with Ventus but not as stout but again more distance and straight!
I just got my Pxg. Beat Titleist Tsr. I am having a hard time hitting my draw just like you. Playing Thursday will try and figure it out
I have been gaming the AD UB 6X in my TSR3 for the past year. It has been great for me & I love the light blue color.
It’s not a shaft I have ever considered, but it’s certainly seemed to work really well. Glad to hear you are enjoying it.
Can't go wrong with either one.. Both are very good options.

Here’s a challenge for you, the Ping 10K vs the G425 MaxThe G425 Max is the best driver ever made. I play a lot of golf as a single all over the US and in the UK. I retired early and still waiting for my guys to join me so they can travel with me. With this being said I never see anyone bagging a PXG driver. Jake Knapp doesn’t even bag one, he uses the G425 LST model, what does that tell you?

Definitely think there was much more "human error" than normal by a good margin. Not the normal you swinging in that session.

That PXG driver looks like a knockoff Taylormade Stealth.
Man they must have stepped up their game bc I had the gen 5 0311 and couldnt keep it straight. My ping G425 is much straighter and longer but I dont do custom shafts

10 swings with each club, taking the best 5 would have been the better comparison. Admittedly, you were tired and didn't hit any of those very well. I have the PXG Gen 5 XF and that thing sounds like an aluminum bat hitting a baseball. lol. The Black Ops does sound a bit more muted, so that's good.

I have the same driver set up. However, no one from PXG can tell me what weights can I add to the Black OPS to bring the driver up to 10k MOI. Maybe you can use your connections to find out😂😂
I'm not sure weights alone will do it, but I'll say it was pretty damn forgiving...espeicially off the toe!
Heavy weight in the toe? But unhelpful for most players I understand.
I’ve been gaming black ops for few weeks now and hands down it’s the #1 driver for 2024.

Went to hit some balls and had this Pxg van , tried there black ops driver , I swing hard but it was hooking so when I slowed down my swing , this thing got some balls , I just bought my new Pxg black ops from there…
I like pxg because he can lighten the clubs with the weights. I only play one 7.5 gram weight and the other are 2.5 and 2.5.

Switching clubs back and forth can also affect numbers...gabe we need to get you not so upright and youll be crushing it (and that spin will drop) come see us in orlando
Yes, it’s some thing I’m continually working on in my swing. Progress has been slow, unfortunately. But I do think I can generate more power if I can dip down into the ball, rather than fly up out of it.

Hi Gabe! My parents are down there so I visit frequently. Went to Prestancia and got fitted with Dave. Great experience and something all golfers should do with a putter. Scotty's and Bernardi's are great, but you won't make putts if it is too long/short or weighted poorly.@@LetsPlayThru

Yes, I probably took 200 swings that day. I wish I was a little fresher to be honest.
It’s a forgiving. I found it move forgiving than the ping 10000 and 15 yards longer

Swing was not good on any of the ten that counted. When your back is fatigued it is difficult to stay in posture and make a good swing. Stand up or sway ball will go right .

Sub 2k spin at your speed is death on a golf course, especially if that is your good strike. A miss hit drops more and becomes unplayable on a real course. Stick to the Ping.
Peak height and descent angle is way too low as well. I’m surprised he didn’t put you in a 12.* head to improve your numbers.

That was shocking for me too! Love the angle of pxg...ping is heavier and will come in more upright for most players
I genuinely think this challenge is bias because they fit you and change everything to make them win. My ai smoke is off the rack and wouldn't come close to a fully fitted club. I would be more inclined with this challenge if it was stock for stock.
Probably the worst you have hit your Ping driver ever I would say.
It was not a good showing. Maybe nerves, maybe adrenaline, maybe fatigue...or all of it. 😂.
Gabe. You gotta get that angle of attack more positive. Ian from TXg always states swing speed with driver x 2.7 for optimized distance. You should be getting it out there 264-270 at your swing speed. I am right at 90 mph and I typically get 240 ish. I avg 3.5-5* up on the ball. Your level angle of attack is hurting

but for 4 yards? i think ping will be a better driver overall for a long time
