i wanna start a food business because to me, food is one of the ways to show love. My parents don't say I love you or anything like that but they make us food that me and my sister love and that's their love language. I wanna do the same and feed people.

Cookies are actually really hard to sell. The best selling cookie are always the half bake/soft cookie. Very few people like nice crunchy hard cookie. The issue is to get that amazing soft bake texture it not fully bake and some people think it is raw. It is not raw, it just not bake til it is hard which people consider bake. It is like a steak. No one want a hard overcook stake but some people think anything beside hard completely no pink center is consider a fully cook steak. Same for cookies. So you have to time your cookie just right and if you mess up you get raw cookie, under bake cookie, or worst hard cookie (that almost impossible to fix unlike the first 2). You do need to be a good baker to make these cookie not your at home baker who bake once in a while. I know all of these cuz there a famous cookie place near me and the #1 complaint is the cookie are "raw". They do sell a lot of cookie so it show like steak people perfer less cook then over cook cookie. I bake quite a lot and soft cookie are really hard to make. Sometime I time them wrong and it is too "raw" and sometime (even 1 min) and it is too over bake. I am really picky on the exact doness of a cookie and I think most people are too. If it too "raw" bad review and if it a little over bake people don't buy as much as they look for the gooey oozy cookie. People don't appreciate how much effort goes into the perfect cookie.

I love good food that doesn't makes you feel sick after eating. I am from Baghdad Iraq, and there is no healthy food restaurant here, even for me, I always have to wait until I come home to make something good.
So I would like to give this service to my community, and it is something I enjoy doing.
I didn't start yet, I am in the stage of planing and putting the numbers.

    2. Vegan Fried Chicken (confort food, repeatable)
    3. Restaurant vegan meal kits for 2-4 people (if you already have a restaurant)
    4. Vegan Burgers (great margins, B&M, cloud, truck, be clear on how you differentiate)
    5. Vegan Bubble Tea (easy QC, suitable to small place, great margins, low skill set)

That is a tricky one cause I first went the trendy route, but then found very difficult to sustain. Having products that people come regularly for and not just once for the trendy item is way better business model. Having seasonal trendy items ontop of staple items is more ideal imo.

My husband is seeking to retire. We have always wanted to be in business together. While he worked his full time job, I homeschooled our son & I started a floral design business...its was ok but too much "physical" work & I guess was just not the right time because he helped on weekends so there was no down time for him. Well, we figure with his configuration management profession & both our service gifts, we can now join forces with him retiring & we want to open a coffee shop with books, games, snacks & a peaceful location away from the "home office"

      @WilsonKLee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hey Jessica thanks for tuning in! I would not recommend having all 5. You'd be spreading yourself too thin! It is best to be very good at 1 (or 2) and be known for that. And once you get all your business operations and service and marketing dialed in, then you can expand product lines. Getting the right foundations is already A TON of work. So having so many different products (that aren't quite complimentary) can be overbearing.
Definitely recommend attending my free masterclass if you are just in the planning stages of your restaurant.

You don't need to get a franchise but there are definitely benefits (and cons) of doing so. If you choose not to then you can have more freedom with recipes and marketing. But make sure there is demand for bubble tea in your area first before starting it.

Great! If the characteristics are similar (ie. easy to make, low price, little equipment needed, has demand), then you'd want to think about the business in a same manner as a BBT shop.

I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app
