That's nothing. What makes this job worse is when a douche bag doesn't properly label the cables and makes you tone them out individually just to get the location correct. And pray to God theres no switch in between.
I saw like 5 guys. How long did that take? How many man hours? I get sent to a job like that with 1 guy and 7 hours in my boss is asking why we aren't done. I feel he underbids.
We had up to 6 techs on this project. We started on a Friday night and had them back up at about 6:00 am the following Monday. We had a total of 231 hours. The project had a total of 260 cables. There was a lot of work that was completed behind the scene. Most of the cables had to be toned out and all of the user end cabling was relabeled. A lot of the user end cabling was re-terminated with a new jack. The closet cabling was sorted to follow a sequential labeling scheme that corresponded with the user cabling.
They had it easy. Some cable management jobs, you're not allowed to unplug a port for more than a few seconds or else someone is gonna complain about not being able to work.
Projects like this have to many unknowns. We provided a budgetary estimate but billed the project under hourly rates. In this project we had to re-install several cables that would not pass and re-terminate many locations with new jacks. It is hard provide an estimate for all of the unknowns.
it's almost like you don't know how to make a video but have entertaining content so you keep it on time-lapse instead of slowing it down a little for people to enjoy a bit.
Danny Martinez I am aware. I am a fire alarm technician. If by cables you mean CAT5/6 then no, not much if any. However, wires? MANY, depending on the system. Hundreds, if not thousands.
Giancarlo Paniccia I did work for schools, banks and even hospitals I never recall seeing so many wires. The old systems had more wires than the new smart systems. The most wires I would see was no more than 30 pairs.
Danny Martinez I do mostly condos so we’re dealing with large class B circuits and semi-addressable systems for the most part. You’re probably refering to fully addressable and networks.
This only shows the Top of ice Berge. I'm pretty sure most, if not 3/4, of the cables there weren't properly labeled and had to be individually toned out all because of some douche. Pray to God there isn't a switch in between or a bad cable.
This is the first time I've seen cable management where you can barely even notice the cables. Amazing job!
I almost had an anxiety attack when I saw all those wires. That is one job I could never do... hats off to those of you that do this.

Got to wear your safety vest while recabling. Those cables are vicious.
The vest is so the enclosed spaces don't see you.

Take your boss with. Or he is a dumm ass and not really into the quality pro. Bus. Only for the money.

One man, seven hrs. You 're sure gonna need a bucket in there )
Think how Google manages with their network cables
Why do I find this so satisfying :')
I love to see that they are work together,,
....this is an add. Holy shit you guys are hired.
I love watching this, it's like seeing a grubby person get all dressed up... or something...

Qwerty ikr
It brings me joy to see tidy network racks, superb job folks!
E pensar que tudo isso aí eu faço sozinho aqui na empresa....top demais
Me recuerda mis tiempos de networker!!
wow those guys work fast! great
Pretty sure it took more than a minute
We need to hire them for our hospital!
I ACTAULLY CANT BELIEVE IT TOOK ALL THOSE PEOPLE TO DO WHAT 1 GUY CAN DO IN 30 MINUTES :p
These jobs are pain in the ass! I'm getting too old for this lol
This is so satisfying as someone with ocd
How many hours was the site kept offline by this? I suspect days with the new cables still stacked too deeply.
I'm doing similar job, I wondered how do you estimate the labor of such project. Is the finish time somewhere close to your estimation?

592 cables... what a nightmare!!! 😁
260 cables
Yeah clean and tidy
Oh this is so beautiful
Это вы всё ещё отключили, а у нас обычно как? Всё на горячую..и попробуй ап линк задеть
Sir how much time work on this panel how much input please ??
Very nice job
Yeah it looks super neat and all but trying to find where leads are patched in is now going to take you 17 times longer.
A whole lot of work for a room that only 2 people look into.
why must i chase the cat seriously. 5 guys working at 50+ an hour. Not worth it.
Neat-Patch would have made that installation easier in half the time.

Now I’m study It Server and networking can I apply For this type of job?
this is your type of job.
This is pretty sweet!
Top 10 satisfying video
if anything went wrong only the guy in the hi vis would of been okay
What do you need to learn to do such jobs?
hello can I close what you need 2 network cards in a server
too bad they failed to follow best practices on the horizontal tray, you never dive thru it, always spill off the side.
Not dissimilar to installing a new fire alarm control panel.
Giancarlo Paniccia fire alarms are totally a different thing and they usually don't require so many cables like a,network.
Danny Martinez I am aware. I am a fire alarm technician. If by cables you mean CAT5/6 then no, not much if any. However, wires? MANY, depending on the system. Hundreds, if not thousands.
Giancarlo Paniccia I used to a fire alarm tech I even had my state license but eehhh it wasn't my thing lol

Сделали бы они так без перерыва связи
Now is super..
Nice work, but from an engineering point of view - Huge loss of space.

I can do all that on my own! In one day from 8 to 8 no bother
