at first I heard some negative things about the g5n saying it was a downgrade from the g5 for connectivity and less amp models at first but I think the sound quality is better with the g3n and g5n, very tube like and more lively. the older models sound really good but the new ones sound incredible and offer more amps and effects to download.
Zoom makes great stuff, I’m thinking about getting these new G3 models, I have an old one that I use for boosting and EQ my amp, I’d like to use a second one for delays and reverbs
To answer your question first - you plug your guitar into the single input on the rear, then take a jack lead from the "left" output, either to an amplifier, or, as I do, into a pre-amp, which then plugs into my computer via a USB connection, to use in Garageband, (or similar) software. (There are 2 outputs, left for mono, (guitar) and right for stereo - which in truth, I don't understand - but then I suppose I really should follow the old advice of - "if all else fails, read the manual!" The variety of effects is mind-blowing - and that's only the 78 that are pre-installed - you can manipulate and add your own. Problem is, most of the demo's on TH-cam are showing off their playing ability, but there are some straightforward demos, plus some showing how to get both softer - and "Old School" effects, (including one of my own, which gives the TH-cam links to some others that I found really useful.) As at March 2021 there have been some real bargain prices for these on eBay and it's worth checking regularly to see what come up. I suspect the majority of people selling 2nd hand ones may have got fed up with the myriad of manipulations you can do, but if you start with one of the built-in effects that's REASONABLY close to what you want to achieve, you can then adjust the settings for that patch to your own liking.
i have a problem ... i have a zoom g3n pedal, a tascam 102i sound card and a computer. The zoom g3n pedal with headphones sounds very nice without a pc, but if I plug the pedal into the tascam 102i sound card and through it into the computer, the sound quality deteriorates. The zoom g3n has 2 outputs due to the stereo that the headphones can operate through one output. However, the tascam 102i has only one input and I guess that's why it sounds bad with a computer. What I couldn’t figure out: There’s where it says that the zoom g3n pedal can be used as a sound card, but I don’t know how that would solve my problem. If not, how can I fix the pedal stereo sound through the tascam?
When you only have one Jack plugged into one of the outputs, it automatically goes to mono. You will just have to record more tracks or duplicate tracks for stereo, not a big deal. As for your sound card quality, check your daw options and make sure the quality is cd standard
Can I save lots of Incubus Presets using this pedal? I'm planning to sell some of my Analog pedals and use this G3n for Reverb/Delay and Modulations. And does this have the effects on both MS70CDR and MS50G?
@@Wenneguen Tom's butthurt that he can't have 7 pedals and a loop / drum machine active in the same preset. They obviously don't do everything, but the looper and drum machine are useful at times.
I cant download oficial zoom new patches by using guitar lab 6.0. i click on "news" and available patches appear but when i select one, nothing appears on The main screen. The firmware of my g3n is 2.20 and i have Windows 7 64 bits. I also see that patches are no longer available for Direct download on zoom official site. Anyone can tell me how you download zoom new patches with guitar lab?
This pedal is crap.I have a Zoom G3 which sounds very good. So I wanted to buy the new model thinking it should be better.I went to test it in a shop with my guitar.I want to say to everyone, don't get fooled by the sounds you hear in TH-cam. In reality it sound metallic plastic.My G3 sounds much better. Their sound Engine is cheap in this model. The only plus point is the Price, which is cheap for a multi effect.

i love zoom product. is afordable and sound's good but some electronics parts are cheap.
I’m gonna by one later because there are six compression choices where as a normal compressed has only three I like all the options on them as well
