    By a factor of 4:
"Give, and it will be given to you.
    1. A good measure,
    2. pressed down,
    3.shaken together and
    4. running over,
will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6.38
Give much, scatter it across the waters, 'Cast your bread upon the waters, for >after many days< you will find it again. Give portions to seven, yes to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.' Ecclesiastes 11
Understanding this Kingdom principle will change a believer's life, being a responsible steward of what God has provided to us we give out of the abundance. But sometimes we must give out of our lack, like the Widow's mite that God might prove us trustworthy. Then He will enlarge our territory into those 4 broadening channels of return. But if we mishandle it, we'll remain stuck at 1:1.
"How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!" :) But we all know, Solomon received in great measure all three.

In the interest of sharing research ideas: I wonder if you changed the amounts to $1000000 and offer a split would a different ratio emerge as the average offer? I imagine that as the cost of reprimanding the bad offer increases, less people would reject the offer. Also, I imagine as the cost of appearing generous increases the number of generous offers decreases.

He already is a preacher, in a smart way, the fact if anybody go preach and claim Jesus rise from the dead is like saying to common people Santa Claus is real, it is a hard pill to have. Instead, he display the physcological benefit of aplying what the scripture say and mean. By exemple: say the truth, live by the truth, it is like saying follow Jesus Christ who claimed to be truth the way and the light. He outsmart the usualy anti eclesiasique argumentation and go right into the meaning of it. He give a way, to follow the truth, and the light the good will come to you. What more you want from him ?

Don't commit to what you don't believe, how many catholic believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucaristic.. not 100%. So Is that better to clame what you not are, or say what you believe to be true ? Now is the securalisation of his preach a problem.. If he teach people: walk that path, because he believe it is the best path possible, and it is the same path that come to Jesus Christ, where is the problem ?

    Crucial difference.

The christian conception of love is charity because as C.S. Lewis and St. Augustine observe while there is a more satisfying feeling to sacrifice, and in the relationship with God, that is what he demands sacrifice of your own pleasures for his greater glory, it is not necessarily the best because it is often, too often a promotion of a focus on the self, where we become great in our own eyes or we do something for the praise we will receive from someone we care about. Why the christian idea of the greatest act of love being charity is that you should receive no material or psychological benefit from it. Giving to the poor, privately and without letting your one hand know what the other gives, is something which should not be satisfying but is, when we give to people who can give us nothing, to whom we are not attached, who we don't gain any social benefit from helping, we do something solely because it is good and righteous and in a small way that rubs off on our soul and we become more good and more righteous, that virtue within us grows.

We will soon see not only how smart people are but what are people willing to risk or take the chance of losing for giving just a few hundred. I know what almost every person made of me. And to give fair $750 even though $7,500 is closer to it or even 75k but do you have idea what amazing you will receive after you give to the one daily millions made off and absolutely nothing given in over 7 years. Paying though criminals rent, bills and thousands weekly to move next door to me to hopefully fight with me and make me look bad, that is so insane and sick.

Who is first shall be last and who is last shall be first. Generosity affords you spiritually to put others first, you just need to put your confidence in the Holy will of God. Trust God...for he clothes the birds in the trees- does he not love you more?

I don't believe God is love itself.
I think feeling God's light is like feeling God's love.
If it isn't God's love, then feeling God's something is just that great.

When the five K were fed, though they only had five loaves and two fishes, I believe it was the act of generosity that became the source of the multiplication of the bread and fish. As long as there is giving, there is receiving, and the most generous receive the most, but not necessarily the same product given.

Using the "game" Dr. Peterson cites isn't reveling of the magic of God's way if interpreted as discovering successful strategies for self-advancement. Throughout, the Bible makes clear that human beings were created to be the means by which God's love (and truth) can be active in the world, tending and keeping the garden at every level. What that means is that the truth of God's love made manifest through people is what creates, maintains and constantly enriches the garden.

I understand the sentiment but in our current system and society generosity is exploited and people are looking to take, I would assume any GTO calculations on how to play life right now would have you being very careful with your generosity and much more liberal with your willingness to be disagreeable.
