I owned a couple of old Lincoln's in Michigan. 1960s era. They were cold blooded. Especially if not started daily.

That would’ve been quite the experience driving a 60’s Lincoln in the winter ! I haven’t started this one for almost 3 years . Just waiting for the snow to melt in front of the barn doors .

I like all that pumping and cranking. The old car sounds good when it's turning over.

Glad to see the Weapon running. I really have to make it up there some day, enough is enough, time for a visit. Stupid road salt ruins everything!

+spikedpunk I thought for a second, i'd have to sand the points again.. did that to me before.. but 6years not cleaning the points or adjusting them.. is good.. I think the rain will wash the salt away.. if it doesnt get cold again.. sunday night was -9.C ,temperature on the outside mirror of my 1982 Mark VI.. I drove it back up last friday.. took backroads.. no salt.. just off of hwy 11.. off ramps and on ramps, I can see that nasty salt.. Yes, maybe this coming car show.. Gravenhurst.. and or anytime..

I wish you had had a brighter light on your phone, so that I could have really watched your right foot pumping the pedal on that 1966 Continental.

How long does it take to start in really cold weather if it hasn't been used for several days?

Robin Price It starts quickly if I turn the key to the on position and wait for the electric fuel pump to fill up the carburetor, once I hear it change tone I pump a gas pedal a few times and that also sets the choke. I need to put a battery in it soon , it hasn’t been running since September 2019 .
