Four Cities of Northern Ohio Drive Through-Part Three

In early March 2024 I had done a four-hour road trip via the Ohio Turnpike and connecting highways. Join me as we embark on this four-hour journey between the four major cities of Northern Ohio. In order they will be Cleveland, Toledo, Youngstown, Akron and Middleburg Heights which is a suburb of Cleveland. Everything starts out very bright and sunny then the weather begins to change as we drive into more cloud cover ahead of an approaching storm. On the reverse direction the weather conditions take on the opposite effect. We now begin to take our long journey towards the Youngstown area and return back to driving on the turnpike. You will see the slow transition from dreary rainy conditions change back into calm fair weather. Notice the landscape changes as well. We leave the openness of the Interior Plains of the USA and start traversing the Appalachian Plateau. Interstate 80 eventually departs the Ohio turnpike and enters the Youngstown Metropolitan Area. Our journey then goes deep into this rust belt city as we take Interstate 680 which is a spur route of interstate 80 towards the center of town. We exit the highway with a slight glimpse of Downtown Youngstown in the distance. Then we re-enter the freeway in the opposite direction heading back to the mainline interstate.
