Great job with this video!
caw caw
I love my 2020 Coupe Si. The 11th gen has some nice tech improvements, and i can see why people dig the design. Wish it had a coupe.
Great daily and fun car overall.
This review is more genuine than the pretentious so-called "big youtube channels". Thank you.
The rant about the cold was epic. Made my night.
This guy is so underrated
40 degrees in the morning is nice here in Kansas right now. 😂 We’ve been in low digits for a while now. I’m ready for spring!
Si without fog light that’s crazy nice video tho 💯
This just proves, driving a slow car fast is much more fun than driving a fast car slow.
Love seeing him smile with his new car! Great video
I have to comment again. Tony you know why I love your reviews and video? You research shit! You don’t just talk out of your ass. The fact you know vtec isn’t at full throttle in the 11th gen and how you knew the Canadian model had more features shows you’re really into these cars.
Interior and exterior looks so much more mature, cleaner, and classier than the gaudy obnoxious boy racer 10th gen. Very well done Honda
Hmmm i dont like it
Ruben seems like a very humble guy even with the cool choice of cars hes owned.
Any idea if his 2022 Si is still stock in 2023?
I love my 11thgen Si, I’m jumping over from a PRL turbo kit gtx2860 10thgen myself
Interior looks so sleek. that's what i would say about this car.
Guys, you add the creature comforts that Canada added and you’re looking at a 35k-37k vehicle
bro was lucky to buy one at MSRP, currently I'm also hunting for an 11th gen Si, the markup is craazzyyy, like around 3k to 5k.
Dude I really dig the design and interior of this car. They just skipped out on so many features compared to the Canadian model. Only reason why I’m not sold on it.
Im thankful to be in Canada rn
That’s all I was thinking about the entire video, no fog lights , full digital dash, heated seats, standard charging pad, turn signals on the mirrors. Correct me if I’m wrong is that all the changes from the CHEAPER Canadian model?
If it had heated seats I’d have put a deposit down already, but the lack of heated seats has me considering a 10th gen
@@suaveace4425 depends what you consider cheaper, swap to those Canadian dollars and include all the tax in purchases. shit doesn't feel cheaper
We in Canada got the most specc'd out Si & no dealership markup.
I’m still not feeling it. It is a great car no doubt but personally I wouldn’t own it. I prefer the 10th gen and 9th gen Si’s
I prefer the 8th gen si but I like 10th gens just haven’t tried a 9th so can’t say but K24 seems nice too
8th gen is the best generation of the si’s
@@guardian8319 I prefer the 9th gens body style, especially the coupes. Same with 10th gens. Hence why I own a 10th gen aha
8th gens I like them too, specifically the fa5. I don’t like the 8th gen coupes. Weird because I prefer coupes aha
@@bige7186 I’d definitely go for a fa5 , looked into them before getting my 10th gen Si but decided new vs used aha
@@bige7186 For me personally, I do mostly city driving, and the 8th gen is absolutely gutless down low. So no go for me. I had a '14 si and I enjoyed it much more than my '00 Integra gsr because of the added low end.
Great video man, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Nice accord Si 👎snooze fest 👎
I have a 11th gen, and so far its all I wanted plus more.
Try it, youll like it😉
I sat in one of these and it feels much bigger than my 10th gen Civic. It almost seems more like a baby Accord to me than a Civic.
That's what people say every time a new civic comes out. It does weigh less than the 10th gen!
@@steve8803 Not by much, if it does at all. And the inside makes it feel much bigger than my 10th gen Civic.
@@BigKWS it is more roomy. And it weighs less. Win - Win.
I think we all need to make some noise on Hondas social media so we get what the Canadian version has when they do the 11.5gen in a couple years.
Bro what dealership did you get this at? Every single dealership here in Illinois is applying a ridiculous dealer markup and installing so many unnecessary options. It’s crazy.
I think USA will get all the features the Canadian model has in a few years that'll be the time to get one
I personally like the gauges in the 10th gen’s more.
so does his have fog lights? im looking at a white one to pick up and it says it has fog lamps
Imo the 11th gens aesthetic and design is better but I miss the old platforms power plant, I’m so split I can’t decide 😣
Your friend looks nervous in the passenger seat 😂
It’s actually looks sick
Yo I’m tryna get a Honda Si like your boys . But I herd ins hard to find one that on the dealer Lott.
Although I do not think the sound of this engine is real and augmented I thought a reviewer said VTEC was added so the engine would be more rev happy than the previous one and also so the torque would be more evenly spread or that second part might be based on the tune. I am still inclined to prefer the VTEC NA motors over the turbo charged ones based on sound alone plus from what I have been able to determine the NA VTEC cars get to 60 in the low 6s whereas the Turbo models (not including the Type R) can do no better than the 7s.
Which dealership did you get it from called about 4 of them which said they not getting it until March or April 2022
I but a black canadian 11th gen SI and I love it so far… I owned a 10th gen before, what an upgrade!!! They are way better equip them the US one … Like you said it’s a better car all around, feel mote mature, planted and the power is similar..
I was on board… up till that still pic of your 10th gen at the very end. 🤤
Haha
Just watched a review on the 2022 Honda Civic SI in Canada and they get heated seats heated steering wheel and full digital dash - why would they take it off on the US cars doesn’t make any sense.
vtec is in the exhaust system
I work in calabasas it drops down to 28-34 degrees in the winter mornings. Lol
My lord I love it 🔥🔥🔥 I been thinking about getting this car the more I see it. Also, I think with the chip shortage companies had to give and take with the features. Still a bad ass car though regardless
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Then why does it have all those features in Canada? For cheaper…..,
@@vtecef9 I been thinking about that a lot and honestly in Canada I feel they need those features a lot more than we do especially in the south. It sucks a lot that we don’t have it but it still is a good looking car overall even without those features
how do I get a Canadian civic SI into the states. its crazy that Canada got the better version for a cheaper MSRP.
"The 2022 Honda Civic Si is Better Than You Think..." it probably is ... but they're nowhere to be seen. No dealer has then on the lot - period.
Ehhh.. Idk about this car.. I know that it looks good and very mature, but it’s just not the same like the 8th and 9th gens.. 8th and 9th gen have better performance and you can actually feel and control the car and don’t forget.. The “VTEC!!” Once you hear that, you’ll always smile 😊
How’s that bose sound system? That’s the main reason I want to trade my 10th gen haha
it's fire haha
Bro if that's the sole reason just re-do your audio system. The 10th gen are so much sweeter. I'd wait 2 years to see the 11.5gen. Hopefully we get some if not all of what the Canadian model has.
@@raymondamoroso2049 yeah that’s what I’m gonna do
They need to bring back the coupe
Exactly
Most definitely. They screwed us hard on that one.
If they’re not gonna bring back the coupe they should give us an si hatch
@@malikward5211 and make that damn integra a coupe lol
Love the video
It looks SO GOOD! They FINALLY did away with those terrible fake vents!!!!
Same slow rice fart fan
The VTEC is in the exhaust
Definitely keeping my 8th gen si😁 best generation of the si’s
🤣
Just coped one the experience is so raw
copium
Traded in my 10th gen si coupe for a mk7 Jetta Gli , couldn't be happier ! I loved my Honda but the Gli just feels better in every way to me .
I'm looking to get a new Honda Civic, but it seems almost impossible to find a standard transmission as almost nobody wants them anymore.
The new civic si’s only come with stick and the the other civic trims come in cvt I believe.
@@CasenFerg I believe the Hatch Touring comes in Manual.
get and si
🔥🔥🔥
If i cant find one for mid 30s ill prob just get a 10th gen but the 11th gen is just different.
Save up more money.
The 11 gen is just a Better 10gen
@@hondamanvtec2894 good advice. 11th gen it is.
I like everything about it
So it has turbo and vtec
1.5Ts have done nothing for me but headaches. I can't wait for another CTR release, i also hope they have an oil cooler built in like the type S
🤣
@Goendja fuck me it’s okay to mediocre I guess
@Mn0tren looool right
Have they ever given us a reason why the canadian model has more options?
Just wait till they refresh it in 2 - 3 years hopefully they give it the Canadian spec lol
I have the civic 2022 sport and I’m already wanting a refresh lol. It’s not aggressive enough. Needs more power too.
Agreed! Canadian got such a better package then we did. I wish they would of at least let us add all the Canadian features and pay as options.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they changed shit before the refresh but for sure it will happen in a refresh
Civic RS
what spec did they get on the sport compared to usa? Probably not that much of a difference i hope. Honda took away a lot of stuff on the new civic sport compared to the 2021. I am actually kind of angry at Honda that they did this all for profit margin this time around. Charging people same price for less stuff. I actually cant wait to get rid of my civic sport now.
Nice car...but even still, even with all the positive reviews, I LOVE the looks of the 10th gen. And being in Colorado, heated seats are a must! ...sticking with my 10th gen Si until I can get a Type R...aaaand then adding heated seats to it! ;-)
It make no sense that Honda strip off some features present in the 2020 Civic SI.
@@timothylee2772 makes perfect sense with the integra already out im sure they wanted the integra to have those features for a premium price
I’m gonna be honest as a 10th gen owner I do not like the new 11th gen at least the u.s I live in NY and heated seats are reallllyyy important for me and a heated steering wheel would be nice. All those features come with the Canadian version. If I was to get an 11th gen I would get the Canadian one
Blows my mind what the Canadian version got. It was bad what they left out from the 10th gen but everything else the Canadian version got we didn't is criminal
Plus what I like about the 10th gen is how high the console is this gen looks lower. With my seat all the way lowered in the 10th gen it almost has that cockpit feel of a sports car....I think u know what I'm trying to say. Maybe they have the seats higher in this video but it still looks like the console is lower in this gen
I think they didnt put the heated seats because of the chip shortage
nice rev
I’m excited that the new si now has vtec again ! Even if it’s on the exhaust! Helps push out the air more
The 10th gen lacked VTEC?
How did you like the screen up on the dash like that? That and the in cable engine noise were my only concerns!
It was weird but definitely didn’t mind it. It was pretty good overall
@@TdaKid cabin* not cable lol. I’ll have to go drive it to see about the screen, there’s a sonic grey one at the dealership down the road from me
Do a review of the elantra n
After seeing the Canadian version, there’s just no way I could buy this. 🤞🏼 for the Type R.
Type R with massive mark up , finding a SI at MSRP is hard enough. But yea the US got hosed with the missing features. Crazy.
@@closg9309 Yea its frustrating all around.
The new Type R is going to be ridiculously overpriced because of markups. Down here in Tampa used 2019s with 15-30k miles are still going for 43-45k which is ridiculous. Cheapest Type R I’ve seen was a 2017 with 56k miles for 38k. And that was only about 6 months ago. I can easily see the new ones going for like 50k minimum more than likely 52-55k, considering any new 2021s I see are around 50-51k, which is absurd.
@@mrcawfee. For sure. It's ridiculous.
Dam I loved my 2020 si coupe but sadly lost it in a accident on Christmas eve. I am considering the 11th gen but not quite sure yet.
Sorry to hear that man. Have you thought about a 2020 or 2022 wrx? Only like 3k more than the si
Isn’t it making 230 whp according to hondata
Hondata says the engine stock is tuned down and you can get 34 hp more and 50 lb-ft of torque over stock, with their flash.
Thats with most of the cars in this Leauge. My 2019 GLI gained 100HP and 100TQ with a single flash stage 1 tune. That’s how tuned down it was
Design aside all the missing features for the US model is a huge turn off.
Exactly. Did Honda think we wouldn’t notice? Let’s hope the refresh fixes that.
Amen! I thought it was bad with what they left out then I saw what the Canadian version got..... that shit is damn near CRIMINAL
@@raymondamoroso2049 Id never trade my 10th for an 11th
No heated seats, no dual climate, no side mirror camera, cheaper wheels, & less power. Exterior needs major cosmetic changes that will set it apart from all the base sedans. We'll have to see the refresh in a couple years.
I saw an 11th gen review and it had heated seats and steering wheel
Canadian model
@@TdaKid isn’t fair how Canadian Si always comes with the best options
I had 22 si, and tbh I traded it in for an fl5. The thing is severely under powered. I mean, a base model Camry has more hp. It does 0-60 in 7.1 and a Camry does it in 7.3. I had a 99 si and it did 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, how more than TWENTY years later the car is slower. Honda is just banking off the si heritage while delivering a lackluster product.
If you want to get a manual transmission gas saver, this is the car to get, but it's not a sport compact. The l15 engine is very weak I highly recommend you leave this bad boy bone stock, no hondata. Maybe get a better intercooler to lower the air temps because the motor gets very hot.
I'm trying to sell my wife on this car. I'm like honey, it's a Civic! I'll have to downplay the tuning potential and put emphasis on the fuel economy👍
bro just get it and live life. if she don't accept she ain't the one
Have your boy it is up when it’s mod time.
I will only get one. If only. They sell the Canadian version for the states here because the US ones are cheap compared
does anyone have exhaust for the 22 si? im getting a blue one
It really gives me a accord or acura vibes not a civic haha but its definitely nice!
I really like the 11th gen si
I own a tenth gen si coupe n im pretty sure the 10th gen will dust the new platform with its 5 less hp - you should do a drag race between them
Nope ! I own a Type r and 2020 sport and just pick up a 22 and if the 10th gen is stock , will not stand a chance. The 11th gen is underrated.
10th gen si loses to the 11th gen si in a straight race stock for stock due to the power coming in 500 rpm sooner and later
Ososik media (Oscar) already raced one in his 11th gen si
The 11th Generation actually produces 240 Hp and more Torque to the wheels. It’s kinda like the previews at the end of the movies if you know, you know. If you don’t you don’t!!!!
Wow they really cheaped out on the american models. We got the full TFT display in canada, Heated wheel plus front and rear heated seats, park sense, and led fogs. Im more upset i dont have remote start anymore lol.
Mhmm, yeahhh.. This gen growing on me
It’s a nice luxury car
They have less horse power. What’s the deal with all that?
They’ve been dyno’d at 220whp or so. Honda undersold the power
@@TdaKid nice
Would you be an idiot to buy a 9th gen civic si over this generation?
Idiots are everywhere
It’s all in opinions lol
Personally I'd rather turbo my 9th gen then go with the new 1.5t
Any day lol
Noted
Why do you people come here ?
@@vtecef9 to hate bro common now lmao 😂
Which is why you get both.
10TH GEN NO VTEC VS 11TH GEN VTEC - ENOUGH SAID
Waiting for the pricing insanity to go away here in SoCal / US, I might be waiting a LONG TIME... Not paying $7.5K to $10K over MSRP these dealers are nuts, no way. Until then I will continue to drive my stock 07' 8th Gen Si Sdn with 248.8K. I want Blazing Orange Pearl with HPD body molding package.
The problem is that people keep buying cars at these super inflated rates. If the dealerships weren't selling the overpriced cars then the prices would be lowered by now. It's the consumers fault not the dealers.
@@full.grain. Right. I had one dealership reach back when I said not paying $10K over MSRP...they said how about $9K? Nope...
how heavy is the clutch compared to 10th gen? my old 10th gen clutch hurt my knee for driving too much. I am looking to buy 11th gen but just worrying about clutch stiffness.
Clutch overall has a better feel on the 11th gen
Something is wrong then it shouldn’t be that heavy specially stock clutch. It’s ok to become alil heavier then when you first buy it but if it’s hurting your knees something is wrong lol
@@Jam617_ Yeah, I destroyed the clutch within one year learning manual lol. Replaced with heavier clutch to handle mod. that's why it's heavier lol. Or maybe I drove stop and go too much.
@@nartin86 that’s annoying man my 8th gen had a heavy clutch and it was stock got it replaced and went back to being heaving never figured it out why. But I got a 9th gen now and the clutch is alil heavier then stock feel but still very light and doesint hurt my knees and annoy me
Heated seats instantly make me need to take a shit for some reason.
It’s like warming up the bread in the oven 🤣🤌🏼
I wonder what could be if you put the 1.5 liter turbo from the 11th generation civic (which hondata says that it has vtec now) in a 10th generation Civic also with the rev-matching option... ...that would be great !!!
It has VTEC On one cam similar to the base model RSX motor ( which is trash). Rev matching has nothing to do with the motor and everything to do with the ECU. That motor still directly injected in the clutch can handle no more power stock than a 10th gen (hondata has proven that) . The next generation over the previous Generation performance wise is nothing to get excited about
4:02 you can see he is hurt when he says his car isn’t loud🙁

It's an SI, you can't go wrong.. I just got the 2020 SI which is an attractive all around good car but so is this one, they are siblings lol
I’ll be trying to tell people. I also have a 2020 SI and my best friend just bought a 2022 si. And he let me drive it, The reality is is that it feels more the same than different. I wouldn’t suggest anybody who has a 10th gen SI get and 11th.
11th gen looks way better than the 10th gen.
Your on glue if you think that!! 🤣😂
Battle of the ooglieeezz
I thought ososick name was nick 😅
This car would’ve looked a lot better as a coupe.
Agreed. I like having the new versions but I cannot give up my 10th Gen pearl white coupe.
Wouldn’t pay markup for a less equipped Si compared to the Canadian version
