Nice looking job, should serve you well. Honda threw in a front storage tray when I bought my P500 so I opted for the half shield by UTV Windshields and Accessories. I can still access that storage without having to remove the half shield. Thanks for the part number on the sub harness, that'll make a much cleaner installation of the winch switch. Really enjoying your videos.
+mustang1191 The access to the front storage would be very nice. I have found another part number some kind person posted on hondasxs.com - 08R70-HL3-A00 - ROPS CLAMP (around 12$ each) that I can use for quick release on my windshield. The wiring harness is great for the money and makes life so much easier. Glad you are enjoying the videos :)
You inspired me to make my own half wind shield. I used Lexan marguard which can be bent cold. I used Honda ROPS Clamps so can remove the wind shield in seconds. Ended up being pricey but half of what Honda would have charged (however they don't offer custom heights!).
Great work! How did those clamps work out? I was looking at using them also but had to order them in. The velcro I use seems to be holding up well. The great thing is - to make another one is easy after the first, as the old one acts as a template :)
The Emporium I think those clamps are the only way to go. They were pricey at $101 for 4 of them but they are a robust piece of kit and can be recycled whenever I change the Lexan. I did a little piece in the HondaSxS forum... 'DIY half windshield'.
It worked out well - Lasted the 3 years I had the P500. I bought a whole sheet so I had enough for 3 more if it got scratched. There are more expensive options with better scratch resistance but I figured it was cheaper to replace them, if they get damaged. Hope that helps!

looks like it was a lot of work. Good job!
Nice Job! You could try next time to put a bend in the top of your windshield and you could eliminate the Aluminum altogether.
I did bend the edge and the aluminium was over kill - but we live and learn 👍 Great tip!
Nice job what thickness did you go with?
I think it was around 3 or 4 mm - as that's what I had lying around. Slightly thicker would be nice - but maybe a little harder to bend 👍
Nice job!
Thanks - I'm very happy with the results even after a year!
Very Good!

Good to know - I'll make sure I take a look for the post!
how did the windshield do here lexan scratches easy

@@TheEmporiumOutdoors yes sir i am looking at hockey glass but may go with lexan..
job well done, if you place some solid rubber 1/4" blocks under the wind shield then zip tie it want vibrate:)
+buletpoint I will try that! I just changed the zip ties to velcro - I found out you need to remove the screen to open the hood :/
Nice
Thanks Alan!
