AC, are there also LED bulbs under the LCD panel, and can they be accessed?
On the early Aprilia RSV and Tuono, instrument panels were a standard (un-inverted) LCD type. In daylight you saw very legible black characters on a neutral light gray background. As ambient lighting dimmed, you would notice the panel's colored backlighting (some models used green tint, others were red). The backlight coloration came from under the LCD panel, but I'm not sure if Aprilia used colored LEDs or just a color filter on top of white LEDs. Whatever they used, it did not reduce the clarity of the LCD panel like an overlaid piece of colored film would. All things considered it was the best overall LCD screen
I've used. Full clarity during the day, and at night a glare-free backlight with colors that did not disturb your night vision.

what color was your gauge before, im trying to do my car's. The original was green and I want to do white or blue. Do I have to remove another color first or can I put this under it to get the color I want?

@@OneWheelNation the original was white, if your doing in a car most likely you will have to take apart your gauge cluster and remove the green filter and replace it with color filter you like to have. But if you have a much newer car then most likely you have Leds on the gauge cluster and if it’s green the only way to change the color will be to replace the Leds with the color you want and that’s a much more delicate process with unsoldering and soldering it back w/out damage to the other components.

@@OneWheelNation ok then in that case see if the numbers are in a clear or green film. if its clear then you can either use the film color of your choice or if it uses those small tiny bulbs then you can actually replace them with color leds, here is a site that i use to go on to change those tiny gauge custer bulbs just enter your car info in the site to see if they make the tiny leds for it. its a simple swap just twist & turn your old ones then reverse process when installing new ones. www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle-lights
