I wouldn't call it a fail, I'd call it a reconnaissance mission for a future hike. When the kids and I go into the Boundary Waters, I make individual servings of bacon cheesy grits with bacon bits, dehydrated red and green peppers and cayenne pepper plus a cheddar cheese stick. Just tear up the cheese stick and add boiling water and koozie it for 5 mins or so. It's a favorite. so great you got to see all that wildlife! Thanks for taking us along.
The views you give us are SPECTACULAR ! If I’d known I was missing out on the joys you can have in the sport of hiking and backpacking I would have had a much different life. Thank you for changing it now, Toby 😎💕
This is now my favorite video of yours. That canyon, wowza. I'm so glad and happy that you shared so much of this incredible scenery. Now on my bucket list.
Beautiful places. Thanks for taking us along. Btw.... Folder's makes a dark roast instant in those packets. I usually use two in a cup. Your food choices look delicious. And having a fire alone is good to reflect on the day.
So refreshing to see spring somewhere in the US! I learn something new from each of your videos. Today I found out that there are bears in Arizona! Who knew? Thanks for sharing.
Some great images there! Just as I was wondering whether you’d seen javelina... I’m a bit S of Tucson (where I’ve seen bobcats while playing golf, btw) & google maps tells me it 4-1/2 hours to the canyon - so, yeah, no day hiking from here.
Thank you for a great video. I’m getting into backpacking for the first time and I will definitely be going there. I have a question regarding permits. I have a American The Beautiful Senior Annual card. Does that help in discounts for permits or is it just for State and National Parks ? Just curious if you know. Thank you.
It was nice! Probably 60’s during the day. One night was in the 40’s overnight, the other was in the 30’s. Sunny the whole time, there was some wind but not too intense. Thanks for watching!
WOW! What a beautiful spot of the world!
It was totally amazing back there! The video doesn’t even do it justice
Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching!

Walking with wet, squishy shoes...nah. Thanks for another great video.
Haha. You get used to it! Thanks for watching!
Cool trip thanks for bringing me along. Add some protein to those meals would help, you need to maintain the leg engines.
Haha. Yep, I just kinda took what I had. But definitely needed more protein
Just get a bag of TVP or butler soy curls to keep in your pantry.

To the Aravaipa Canyon West Trailhead it is about 1hour and 45 minutes from Tucson, according to Google Maps
I thought I would see the canyon, but I mostly just saw your face.
That looks like a great wilderness experience. Do people go there without permits? Here in the UK hiking is unregulated
Some people might, but you could get fined quite a bit!
