Thank you for this video. My grandfather was a ranger at the time he and my grandmother lived there.

Glad to see you back Mike, 👉🙂
Lol I would have not opened the fridge 😅 🤢
Wow I wonder what makes a person just get up and leave everything behind. Makes you wonder if they went off for the day in the outback and something happened to them 🤔. Kinda scary 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not really back 5Wheels, just posting some old footage I had. Haven't been filming much lately. But it's not a dead channel I'll be going on more trips at some point.
So from what we were told, that trailer was used by the help for some cattle outfit around there. I'm sure the quality of help just got lower and lower, and/or the business got hit hard. People with money hate cattle for some reason so they been having a hard time, everywhere. But anyway, I do hate to ruin the mystery but that's what happened im sure - just abandoned. It did smell like death in there tho! ...aside from the fridge, that just HAD to be opened. Very few could have resisted the urge to see the sure disgustingness that must be inside :)

My grandmother and grandfather lived in the house with the wrap around porch. Frank and Mary Pope.

Thank you for that. I like knowing all that I can about the places I visit. What a wonderful home they had! And I can imagine the numerous stories they must have had from living there.

@@MikeDonner My siblings and I went there in the summers and played in the waterfalls and rivers after floods and rains. He was a park ranger I think? He was in charge of bulldozing and moving dirt around to help with erosions and such.

@@kindhousecharityfund138 That is really cool. And what a job, dangerous at times no doubt. I bet you got some great memories around there. Thanks again for sharing.

@@kindhousecharityfund138 hey my beautiful cousin ❤. Grandaddy worked for the BLM. I remember the day that old Mrs. Salazar was kidnapped at gunpoint by an escaped inmate. She saw us standing in Grandmother's yard, and was brave enough to jump out of the moving car to escape. Her head sustained a deep cut, and Grandmother and my mother bandaged her while Granddaddy and Dad chased after the inmate. Many adventures!
