one of the unique things about east asian culture compared to western culture is that there are very little safety nets for people on hard times. There's also no real retirement for the elderly. When you 'retire' in Korea as an average person your livelihood is your children and they're expected to take care of them. This is just so unrealistic I find it annoying, all the violence and brutality are completely self inflicted and not caused by anything. I don’t think you can find a more irrational outcome then what happened
The idea for this show originated from a webcomic called "Money Game" and its sequal "Pie Game". The artstyle is very drab and plain, which makes the sudden escalations and crazy mindgames all the more potent. The video spoils most of the cool twists, so I highly recommend reading the webcomics first, if the premise interests you.

Maybe I'm giving it too much credit but honestly really glad I saw this recap. Thumbnail makes it look like horror and I know ppl will say the 3rd act is torture porn but the first two acts (and 3rd too) have really good insights into not just capitalism, but class consciousness, class power dynamics, media and boredom, and base human dignity. Yes, the floors represent classes in a class pyramid, but also unique sectors/skills in society and how they're (under)valued in capitalism (they pyramid). They build a mini society where 6F personifies the enforcer/police class; 5F is medical/education - ish; 4F was and still is customer service; 2F is trades (valued v low in Asia); 1F is the starving artist; 7F represents mid-upper class w some success, and insite into sociopathic tendencies of elites, but still discontent. 3F is mostly the viewer. 8F represents elite politicians, working on behalf of masked corporate benefactors that enable her worst instincts. The elites only gave them more 'time' (opportunity / attention) when they were entertained by their suffering or debasement. 7F and 4F understand the need to appease 8F and distract her, and the faceless capitalists backing her as she controls the resources, the police 6F, and has the weapons. While 1F, 2F, 3F, 5F, and eventually 7F and 4F, would like to see political reform, they are all the while tempted, extorted, and blackmailed into silence. 7F tries setting up a loose egalitarian system in capitalism (social democracy) but this devolves when human jealousy kicks in under zerosum capitalism and 8F exploits these cracks to dissolve all democracy into autocracy. 1F's and 3F's only current 'value' to appease the elites/8F is debasing. Ironically 1F's skills were proven the most monetizeable per his cost (the value of art under capitalism). His work was overshadowed by 8F's sex show appealing to the fickle base (sex work under capitalism when other jobs don't pay as well). The fact that this was all recorded by the elites and never released reaffirms the benefactor class was in this for the boredom/amusement, despite being able to easily alleviate mass suffering. The game in a game is fun cause they basically set up a new economy/currency/stock market w these coins that are otherwise meaningless to the ruling class who get their real money from someone else directly and always have priority access to the 'real economy' (insider trading, corruption, etc). Anyone reading this is already likely in the top 10% globally by definition (7F-4F).
I'm amazed at the number of people who label Corporatism as Capitalism...It's funny but corporatism uses the same terms as capitalism but their meanings are very different. Rather like Mormons and Christians...Mormons use Christian words but they follow a completely different gospel.
Fun fact! The title is wrong, the protagonist is on the third (I think) but anyways the amount made by the character we mainly follow at first is: 21.66$ usd (30k won converted to usd) With that information we can see the conversion hourly rate. 30k won per minute = 21.66usd 21.66 x 60 minutes = 1,299.60 equaling an hour With that being said a whole 24 hours equates to 31k But the game isn’t that easy because outsider viewers need to pay for more time to gain money for contesters
IS IT about capitalism? Idk. I would say it’s more like communism where a everybody is supposed to be equal but in reality, at some point, a few end up being on top and become the ruling force, more like North Korea.
spoilerrrr no, they were all poor when they arrived, after the show she bulldozed an art gallery cause of a grudge, she had to compensate them with all her money and got imprisoned (lame ending for her imo)

Yeah the creator I don't think understands the difference in money values. The WON is very cheap compared to USD. As $1 is equal to about 1370 WON. I've been to South Korea, it's a very humbling experience. To see the difference in cost but the quality is better. If people ever had the ability to travel to a country where $20 to you is $20 and $20 to them is expensive you will have a very welcoming experience to get a good grasp on how values can change your concepts.

Wait... That's almost literally Mr. Beast 100 days video.
Fun fact! The title is wrong, the protagonist is on the third (I think) but anyways the amount made by the character we mainly follow at first is: 21.66$ usd (30k won converted to usd)
With that information we can see the conversion hourly rate.
30k won per minute = 21.66usd
21.66 x 60 minutes = 1,299.60 equaling an hour
With that being said a whole 24 hours equates to 31k
But the game isn’t that easy because outsider viewers need to pay for more time to gain money for contesters
I would play in a show like that
you would be 1f sorry
An actual series, recap with an ending !
Pretty rare
Wow.. Great recap
69 hrs they definitly put on a show in 69 lol
I thought the amounts of money they were talking about were insane but 1 million a day is only 715 bucks
If i was in the game, all I would buy is a phone, then I'm basically locked in the whole game :)
Newest dog pack video 💀💀💀💀
Pov: MrBeast in an alternate Reality
Actually a really great ending
This show was allrighy untill they started sleep deprivation torture
I didn't think 8f would survive more than a day...
It really shows the state of south korea how literally every show they produce is about how bad capitalism is
Yea capitalism makes good TV wish they made real shows like this
Remember to take frequent breaks after all that strenching
Are they wrong though?
IS IT about capitalism? Idk. I would say it’s more like communism where a everybody is supposed to be equal but in reality, at some point, a few end up being on top and become the ruling force, more like North Korea.
@@Gundumb_guy ah yes they get different amounts for the same time from the beginning for no reason. Classic socialism
Take one shot for every time you hear "F" during this video.
Mr beast during the purge
do games like this happen often over seas because id love to be in one
They finally made a movie about that guy who worked for mrbeast! :D
There's always a catch to making so much in one go
Average Mr Beasts video 2050
The sideman just did something similar to this!!!
For a million bucks they oughtta be scared of me
It’s like $750 USD calm down
Mr beast has gone out of his comfort zone
So i will assume 8F is the game runner here
spoilerrrr
no, they were all poor when they arrived, after the show she bulldozed an art gallery cause of a grudge, she had to compensate them with all her money and got imprisoned (lame ending for her imo)
@@magfinite so she went on a never ending show of trolling people to get money to bulldoze a building to settle a grudge so far to go
@@robert23456789 yeah, idk if it was noticeable in this recap but she's bat-shit crazy. Before she went on the show she was playing on her electric guitar (with the speaker) in front of the gallery for change...
@@magfinite we can hope Mr beast runs a shoe like that I'll go on ok maybe the rule about having to keep rubbish in your room can go away
The title is super false, he dosent get 1m a day.
Not everything is in dollars
@@ryozha7663 but the title says $
1 million won is $724.5 USD.
@@ryozha7663 So dollar signs dont stand for dollars now?
@@mAny_oThERSs no, actually not. There are a ton of currencies that use $, you call it dollar sign because that's what you grew up with

The money game and pie game
this makes my list over squid games 100%, i feel i dont even gotta watch it now lol
You don't see this creativity in Hollywood. Brilliant show, very reminiscent of Danganronpa games.
average twitch subathon
I really only came to make a MrBeast Joke
i wonder why they just didnt go the sexual route instead of js being vicious
A: violence according to the viewer in the show is more entertaining than sexual activities
B: this movie would turn into something entirely different
@@Zackhitnope it was shown violence was boring
its South Korean......
@@bascoaful u right they more conservative
@@Zackhitwell u can mix them both together to create more since there’s technically no laws in there

Mr.Beast if it wasn't Aired on TH-cam but some shady deep web sites ;d
I would stay for a day
Did he just say "B.A.E Jinsoo"??? Lol

Mr beast darkweb channel
Looks like that
Basically a better Squid game, holy
Feels like the objective of this movie is to make the audience upset like what are these weird ragebait scenarios
Do people realize the events in these films happen in real life? How do you think you would do?
Epstein island.
Great show
725.28 dollars every day, actually. Thats how much 1 million won is
Yeah the creator I don't think understands the difference in money values.
🤦🏾♂️
I think I could have watched this in real time and still not understood everything going on.😊
