As you were laying out the step by step instructions, I followed along and made myself my first cup of cappuccino....ever! It tasted incredible and everything was as stated. I was in my own kitchen literally talking to myself saying Wow, just wow! One thing I did notice was that my expresso (before adding the milk) was a shade lighter than yours. As you went on to demonstrating the coffee side use, I saw something with "Oro" in a gold bag...having lived in Italy for 4 years I instantly knew it was Lavazza! That explain why the difference in shade, I used Bustello expresso, which as I said was incredibly good and rich in flavor, but now I am off to Publix to get me some Lavazza! Thanks for a great video. :)
Amazing review! I don’t often comment on these, but you so perfectly explained every feature and detail on this machine! I’m sold! Not a lot of people take the time to not only discuss the features, but actively show them in use! Amazing, thank you!
I've had this same machine for about a year and never used the espresso side but had been wanting to. THank you for breaking this down. 1st cup of cappuccino was delish!!
This was a great review, straight to the point and very informative and very detailed. I purchased this and was not sure how to use it, now I am good to go! Thank you so much!
First time ever leaving a comment. Awesome video! I also could not find the info I was looking for to operate the espresso feature of this machine. I could not figure out how to remove the filter from the porta-filter to replace with the single filter. Also did not know the third filter was for espresso pods...I love that! And the biggest take away, didn't know the espresso would not automatically stop brewing and that I needed to push the button again. I must have skipped a few pages when I was reading the User Manuel. Thank you so much! Onward to making espresso martinis for Thanksgiving!
Your review video is awesome! Thanks so much! Just got this for my dad and trying to show him how to make everything express, cappuccino you really helped me to make it easy for him’ cheers
I watch the full video, i like the detailed explanation. You did really nice job explaining all the features. Its first time I bought coffee and espresso machine and trust me it really helped. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video, it is one of the best review videos I’ve ever seen on a coffee machine! You explained all of the features. I’ve never had an espresso machine but now I feel like I can use this one!
Great concise video. I just purchased it, and the machine works better than expected. Nice rich full body cup of coffee, and the espresso comes out just as if I was at a cafe. Frother is easy to use but be sure to not over heat the milk, cappuccinos and Macchiatos on point. Thank you for making these awesome reviews!!! @justadad
I received this exact espresso/ coffee machine as a gift. I've been so scared to operate the espresso side, in fear I'd break the machine. Lol. Your video is extremely informative with easy to follow instructions. Your voice is so soothing as well. Thank you so much! I finally used the espresso side with full success 😀 It was delicious.
Great video, my job got me one of these as a Xmas present. Only thing I didn't see mentioned was the "filter" pull out thing at the back of the machine, it pulls upward
Thank you for your great video demonstrating your machine, which is almost exactly like the one I recently trash picked, a DiLonghi COM530M. It is missing the carafe, the espresso cup, and the black compactor. But everything else seems to be there. I just now briefly plugged it in to test it. Clock works. All three espresso buttons work. Espresso head seems to heat up. The coffee "on/off" button works, and the"bold" button works. But "auto" doesn't seem to do anything, and nor does the coffee heating plate heat up. (maybe by design unless there's a carafe in it to keep kids from burning their hands) Also, the top of the water reservoir is not flush with the rest of the top of the machine. Anyway, I will Offer it Up to somebody who knows how to work on these things who also loves coffee as I'm not a coffee drinker anyway.
Great video... I am actually trying to problem solve mine right now. A month old and experiencing issues with the frother... :-( I wanted to make sure I have been using the machine correctly.
Without pressure, how do you control your extraction? I am new to this, but I thought you need to time the extraction and adjust the grind according to the extraction time. Am I missing something here, or do you just get what you get without any measurements?
This video is very helpful, I just bought this machine and the espresso on/off button light never flashes, it just goes solid the moment you press it and the water doesn't preheat and serves cold espresso. I was wondering if it was something I was doing wrong but watching this video confirmed that my unit does not function the same way as yours and is definitely not right.
Good video. I couldn’t figure out how mine was only brewing water on the espresso side, I think it’s because I didn’t wait for the water to heat up. I’m going to try it again, good luck to me.
It was because I didn’t wait for the water to heat up after pressing the espresso button. Nothing in the directions said I had to wait for the light to stop blinking, so thank you.
They are kind of different, Ninja does nespresso pods and this one you have to grind your own coffee to make Espresso, so if you like less work then the Ninja is a great option.
Really nice, but I know when the bold light flushes it needs descaling, I followed the steps from the manual very carefully, it still flashes, does anyone know why? Thanks😢
I’m trying to make latte art but when I try frothing it with the hot milk option it just becomes super foamy and not good enough for latte art, I wanted it to look like melted ice cream where it would he no bubbles and super shiny, any idea why that happens?
This is a great coffee maker, but I've had problems with making an espresso and lattes. The problem I'm having now is that I set up the espresso and press the top button, which is supposed to flash while the water gets hot, and then turns solid when the water is ready. The problem is when I press the top button, it immediately is solid instead of flashing. I don't know if the water ever gets hot. It's really frustrating.
Just got mine!!. I noticed the espresso side by the underneath part when you insert the portafilter stays hot even when not in use! Does yours do this???
My espresso doesnt comes out …possible that I grinded my beans to fine ? I got a shador grinder from amazon, I grind at 30 sec which is the espresso recommended time lvl ….
Does anyone else’s espresso side light’s already turn on solid but the steam wand throws out weak steam I’ve tried cleaning it and waiting but idk what’s wrong I just got it
I purchased on of these a year ago and I will NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES purchase another Delonghi product. A month after the one year warranty ran out the thermostat on the coffee side blew, which also took out the thermal fuses and shutting down the whole coffee side, just after the warranty ran out and they will do NOTHING to fix it. Tons of other people have the SAME problem just after the warranty ends. They designed these fuses and parts to fail after about a year and will do nothing to help fix them so you are forced to spend more money having it repaired. Never again will I purchase a Delonghi machine and others should be wary too.
So when I press the “espresso on/off” it typically doesn’t blink, just is a constant light indicating the water is warm. It does this even when I haven’t used in a few days and the water is cold. Anyone else have this issue ?
This is the worst DeLonghi coffee machine ever! I bought one last year and it worked for 3 months then broke down - the drip coffee stopped working, I had to call the customer service who took more than 1 month to email me and finally send me another one. Once I received the new replacement, i just used it 1 time - making drip coffee - and this new machine stopped working also..... I called the customer service again and I'm still waiting for my 3rd coffee machine replacement. Who knows when that will arrive and how long until will break again. I don't trust this brand anymore and I wish I could get my money back, as I paid $400 for it but the DeLonghi customer representative advised that , of course, they cannot refund me and neither the store i purchased the coffee machine from - their return policy was 15 days. Do not waste your money on this All-in-one coffee maker.
Excuse me! I have this one too, the coffee machine not espresso stop working ! I turn on the machine but doesnt start to make the coffee! That happened to you too? Sorry my English im mexican but im talkin about the normal machine not the spresso one
Ive got 3 and everyones trued to continue to brew coffee even when their no water in it. Theres no on of switch just for the cofee warmer. If u turn on the on/off button it constantly tries to brew. If u dont believe me randomly poor water in it when it just warming. This thing is garbage. And sent it back got another it did the same did it again it did the same thing. Trash. Touch screen is ass

Neat espresso machine, kinda wish you could set it and then walk away and have it stop
Right? Seems like an easy and obvious design flaw
Fantastic review!
Great review video it’s appreciated

Yes. Has anyone figured it out?
Love the video - thanks! Do you still love this machine? I have a Gaggia Pro but but I use coffee and then an occasional espresso in the afternoon…
Yes I do!

Good luck!
What a great video ily
Very cool! Great video pal thank u. Just got this for my GF for Xmas after doing lots of research. Can't wait to use it 😅
Great video thank you. I can finally use my espresso machine after six months lol
Yo también tiene 2 meses que la compré y solo la usaba para café americano pero con este video ya la utilizo para hacer mis Capuccinos 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Fantastic, thank you. What is the red plastic dongle hiding inside the drip tray?
It pops up when the reservoir is full

Thank you for this video!! How does this compare to the ninja coffee and espresso barista? Do you have a personal favorite?
They are kind of different, Ninja does nespresso pods and this one you have to grind your own coffee to make Espresso, so if you like less work then the Ninja is a great option.
I love that you are pointing with a mini baseball bat
Does this device allow you to make tea? So just hot water?
How do you steam the hot milk? I’ve been looking everywhere trying to figure out how and it doesn’t look like the video went over it
Right at about 3:30 into the video he hits the bottom of the three buttons on the left and mentions it’s for steam. Hope this helps. :)
take a look around the 3:00 min mark
Are you asking for how to steam the milk physically or how tonturn on the steam? On this machine wait for the lights to turn solid
What expresó pods do you recommend
Really nice, but I know when the bold light flushes it needs descaling, I followed the steps from the manual very carefully, it still flashes, does anyone know why? Thanks😢
Is it normal for the water tray to fill up with each use? I don’t remove the cup the entire time but it still somehow is full
I’m trying to make latte art but when I try frothing it with the hot milk option it just becomes super foamy and not good enough for latte art, I wanted it to look like melted ice cream where it would he no bubbles and super shiny, any idea why that happens?

Can you make a video on how to use the drip side
it starts at the 8:05 mark th-cam.com/video/v1eSstB2yiI/w-d-xo.html
did you run into any issues with the milk frothier having a steady steam of hot water at times? My milk comes out watered down most of the time
Can I use a 54mm portafilter with this machine?
I have the other kind, mentioned at the start of the video. Where's the video for that?
Just got this one and when I turn the brother on it leaks a lot at back behind the cup. Doesn't froth either.
Can you make a single cup of coffee on the drip side?
yes just only add water to about the 4 cup mark and add 4 table spoons of coffe
Does anyone else’s espresso side light’s already turn on solid but the steam wand throws out weak steam I’ve tried cleaning it and waiting but idk what’s wrong I just got it
Mine does the same
Ideal espresso temp is 195+, 165 is pretty low

I just bought one that has this issue, what did you do about it? was it a faulty unit?
Any reason, why my machine is not brewing? It has brewed 3 times and then stoped so Its not brewing anymore
It does that to me sometimes. No idea why. I usually start using hot water and it'll start working. Finicky
