    Where are the ethical implications of refusing to fill a script for pain meds for a woman who just had an abortion? You may object to someone having the procedure, but pharmacists shouldn’t be allowed to refuse filling a script for pain meds after the procedure has already been done. That’s just cruel.

      In the U.S. it’s very difficult to get pain meds other than over the counter stuff. They look at you as if you’re a drug addict. Drs are afraid they’ll lose their licenses if they prescribe pain meds. It’s horrible here.

    If abortion is out of the table, then male contraception (vasectomy), needs to be encouraged by law to prevent unwanted pregnancy. A baby doesn’t happen just because the woman’s eggs. It’s also the sperm fault.

      How do you know they didn’t? How do you know whatever birth control they were taking didn’t fail? You do know it’s not 100% effective correct? Stop trying to imbue a person into a clump of cells, especially if you have zero background in biology

      The fact that you’re equating a clump of cells to a “mother smothering her baby” shows how hijacked your mind is from the Christian Right. Do you know when Roe vs Wade was initially settled both parties overwhelmingly agreed with the decision? It wasn’t until years later when the Christian Right hijacked the Republican Party did it became a partisan issue. Learn to think critically. Learn basic biology.

I will support whatever decisions they make and if they come to me and want birth control, I will move heaven and earth for that. The example you cited is not a parallel because the two men discussing slavery could never have been slaves like a man can never be pregnant. If you wanted to draw a parallel between abortions and slavery that would be a slave saying “non slave = no opinion”, as in a non slave has no right to debate the legitimacy of a slave’s freedom, just like a man has no right to debate on a woman’s freedom of choice

    Majority of woman who seek abortions were on a type of contraceptive that failed them, 60% already mothers. This is just prolonging the abortion time, majority of abortions happen BY week 7, now because of all the hurtles woman are now having them BY week 13, and that’s not because they are choosing too. It’s especially effecting the woman who HAVE to keep the pregnancy because they can’t find ways threw all the new hurtles. (Examples: Finding a ride for travel, Finding time off work, Finding child care, Having enough to pay all expenses, etc.) So many people don’t get that even for woman who WANT to be pregnant might need abortions, and if it’s needed in the 3rd trimester are emergencies and are RARE. Having abortion accessible for ALL won’t stop woman from having baby’s, there is no shortage, there are plenty in the system but I’ve always heard people shout it’s about life, well yes the mothers life, the millions of baby’s and children in the systems life’s, it’s unrealistic to assume majority of woman are both physically and mentally 100% healthy and capable of going threw with a pregnancy. (Also financially counts) The reality is all woman have their own individual health issues, forcing pregnancy on the hopes that they will be put up for foster care is insulting and immoral since you are risking the mothers life and well being and putting a fetus over her. Woman are more important than a fetus, if it wasn’t for her the fetus couldn’t be there in the first place. If the woman lives she still is the option to have a pregnancy in the future, but if the choice to abortion is taken that will rise the mortality rates killing both woman and fetus saving no one in the process, another thing hysterectomy’s might see a huge rise as there is 0 chance of having any pregnancy after that. These insane laws are actually pushing more woman to choose between dying or giving up the option to conceive ever again and that’s what will really bring down the numbers in population. Abortions save life’s, nobody is helping woman by taking away abortion access. This IS about woman, I don’t see why the argument is always “what about the fetuses life” well the fetus doesn’t get a say over the woman, it’s common sense, the topic is abortion, not when life begins or if the fetus is a human, because I’ll state this now, From a biological standpoint, a fetus is human only in species. It is not a viable human being until a certain gestational age, others say not until it is born (yes it’s a fact that doctors have deemed a baby already born as non viable and usually they don’t survive past a couple hours/days). To address when life begins well some people say “a new human being is formed at conception” That is just their opinion and has no facts behind it, even science doesn’t know when life actually starts. It is long pointed out that understanding what it is to be human requires a lot more than biology. And scientists can’t establish when a fertilized cell or embryo or fetus becomes a human being. The overall point is that biology does not determine when human life begins. It is a question that can only be answered by appealing to our values, examining what we take to be human. Science has no answer but people can be entitled to their opinion, but opinions shouldn’t override facts. Again the topic is abortion and it should be safe, legal, and accessible for ALL. 👍

      @@McCallSears then why are there 430,000+ kids in the foster care system? 20,000+ age out (turn 18) every year… nobody wants older already traumatized kids.
      They only want little babies who they can indoctrinate in any way they like.
      It also costs upwards of $200,000 to adopt a child. MANY people get denied for various reasons (financial reasons mostly).
      Additionally, a large majority of adoption agencies are Christian-run or affiliated in some way, and they don’t always adopt to people of non-Christian faiths, (as far as I’ve read and learned about). Which also makes it harder to adopt children, if you’re not a Christian…
      These are just a few of the issues with the “adoption point”…
      I will add though: if someone doesn’t want to be PREGNANT, the correct alternative is to NOT BE PREGNANT.
      Yet people will harp on adoption like it’s just such a “great” “alternative”.
      It is ONLY an alternative if you don’t want to RAISE A CHILD/BABY you consented to give birth to.

    "The unborn" are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike orphans, they don't need money, education, or childcare; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It's almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.

    The human life inside the mother is a separate and distinct human being with its own set of 46 chromosomes totally independent of the mother. It is temporarily attached to the mother via an umbilical cord, but is never "part" of the mother's body. That's just science.

    • @rg753lhgl

    • @rg753lhgl
      @rg753lhgl ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Anon Ymous Also, just so you know, the umbilical cord originates from the embryo, not the mother.
      "Where does the umbilical cord come from?
      When an egg is fertilized, it divides into two components - one becomes the embryo, which develops into the fetus, and the other becomes the placenta, which grows along the lining of the uterus. The umbilical cord develops from embryonic tissue and will grow about 60 centimetres long."

    • @rg753lhgl
      @rg753lhgl ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Anon Ymous Try reading what I wrote. The umbilical cord originates from the baby's body at the embryo stage, it is not part of the mother's body, it is temporarily *attached* to the mother's body. But anyway, your point is a minor one. The developing embryo/fetus needs to be in the mother's body, but it is still a separate human being with it's own set of 46 chromosomes. If the baby were truly part of the mother's body, then the mother would have 4 arms, 4 legs, two brains, two hearts.

    • @heidi2842
      @heidi2842 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Anon Ymous Your leg has your DNA, and the embryo has its own. It is far from being just a tissue. It is a new human life-going on. After birth the baby still needs an intensive help from outside, but that does not make it less human. Being a human is not about being independent. People on life saving machines are very dependent-but still human beings.

    • @heidi2842
      @heidi2842 ปีที่แล้ว +1

But the embryo is a completely new, not organ, but organism with its own DNA. Every organism with its own human DNA is a specific human being. So, you are wrong-in the sense of biology-and because of that in ethical sense also. No I do not live in a fantastic world-I live in a world where facts are denied because of interests.

Let’s say a child is born to two 20 year olds because of an accidental pregnancy who are still trying to have a normal life. They decide to give it up for adoption, the child is most likely going to be thrown in abusive households that would result in a worse life for the child. Who wins? The parents who couldn’t afford to be parents being forced to deal with a child with who they can’t afford, or a child forced to bear more pain than an abortion would ever to do them?

The head must be deflated, usually by using the suction machine to remove the brain, then crushing the head with large forceps… There are no words to describe how bad it really is. I’ve seen sonograms of the baby pulling away from the instruments as they are introduced into the vagina. And I’ve seen D&E’s through 32 weeks done without the mother’s being put to sleep. Why does a fetus have to painfully lose it's life due to circumstances he had NOTHING to do with? I placed a baby for adoption from birth-gutwrenching and brutal to this day. Imo ending a pregnancy should only occur if the mother's life is in mortal jeopardy or if the baby has a condition not compatible with life. All of these unwanted pregancies are easily avoidable! That goes for me as well when I became pregnant-I'd been careless. Birth control IS affordable,often free,and has virtually %100 effectiveness. So,why do these pregnancies still occur at astronomical rates? IUD,DEPOVERA INJECTIONS,BIRTH CONTROL MEDICATION,ABSTINANCE,TUBAL LIGATION,VASECTOMY,MORNING AFTER MEDICATION. Fetal PAIN has been medically proven and documented in fetuses as young as 8:weeks of gestation. Abortion is NOT BIRTH CONTROL. Abortion is ending human LIFE. Consider adoption as well. Can you bear the entirety of your life living the memory of your child who was a living human? My son is alive,well,successful,happy and understands the choice I made and my reasons. I know this because he IS alive and told me this himself. Have I taken a ton of sh*t and judgement for giving up my child? Definitely-and worth the criticism.

    There's so many people being killed, why? Because their being told that life has no value! Do you value life? Give the baby a chance. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Matthew 7:12 If the tables were turned would it have been okay for your baby to abort you? Instead repent/believe in God's son Jesus, he loves you and can change your heart.

    • @Simonesanderss
      @Simonesanderss 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s exactly what I thought 🤯 I think the reason maybe they have changed the law it was because people were “abusing the system”!
      Because abortion should be a last resort one in the lifetime thing, and it seems that people got too comfortable with the ideia of if something happens then there is a solution!
      I take the pill and so far I never got pregnant. Birth control is available, I don’t know why people are acting as though they don’t have a choice regarding getting pregnant. The first line of defense is prevention!
      I really don’t think that so many people got pregnant because “contraceptives are not effective enough” 😑 they are 98% effective (around this value) so only 2% of women who take them could be pregnant and from this vídeo it seems so much more and we only have seen one clinic.... 😬

    • @Julibr0103
      @Julibr0103 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Yunai Seonu the math does not match when you compare birth control efficiency to the amount of abortion procedures. There are methods that are better than others. Maybe we will see men taking more responsibility and getting more vasectomies as well. Maybe there will be more women seeking for more effective methods.
      Not to even mention that you have a small window during that month to get pregnant.

      @@Julibr0103 my boyfriend had a vasectomy and I have autoimmune diseases that would have been really bad for everyone involved. Still got pregnant.
      I personally know two women who got pregnant with the IUD inserted into their bodies. BC is great when it works but it's not 100 percent.
      Plus you have to realize that the stats are per year. So condoms are 5 of 100 women using condoms will get pregnant every year. Times it by millions of women and the stats make more sense.

    If you're upset about the direction the court has taken recently and you were eligible to vote in the 2016 presidential election but didn't vote for Clinton, you now know the terrible impact of that decision (especially if you live in a swing state). A President Clinton would not have nominated a justice (much less three of them) who would have penned this awful court ruling. So now you know what to do. Make sure you're registered. and vote Democratic. Vote, vote, vote!
