And of course familiar spirits trying to come back to us because the enemy wants to keep us in suffering. But in Christ we indeed have the victory. I’ve been watching so much of Joyce’s preaching and testimonies lately. It has helped me tremendously. She is such a blessing and an incredibly strong woman.

I think her mom was like a lot of women from that era. They were taught to marry young, they wasn't hardly given a chance to get an education, and they felt like they simply didn't have away out. I'm grateful to God that he blessed women to be able to work and take care of themselves. Women wasn't able to do hardly anything prior to the feminist movement. I may not agree with everything they fight against. But the majority of things they fought for was beneficial for women.
Story of my life!!!!!!!!!! I was just saying this yesterday, people pleasing is exhausting and some people know that you're a people pleaser and use it to their advantage.
I am shaking!! Praise God for leading me to this message. This literally sounds like my story, only the roles were reversed. I was abused by my angry mother, and my father was terrified of her and allowed the very very taboo and traumatic abuse I suffered from her. I have always been a people pleaser and wanting to be successful. God recently blessed me with another gift that is soothing and healing. Flowers.. never knew I had this gift. God is so amazing and he has been building me up and changing me. I resonate with the comment regarding people pleasing. Mines instead was a man. I finally got exhausted with it and God has placed another amazing man that does the opposite back into my life . I do please my kids to a point I am exhausted and I hate the arguing. It is like a trigger for me. I get extremely anxious and it really makes me feel extremely bothered. I shut down. Bless you sister for sharing your story. You have no idea how much this has blessed me. I am sharing with many people close to me so they can understand me better including my children. Amen! Amen!! I noticed in my marriage I would sometimes manipulate my husband and tell him if he did this for me and I would do that for him and he would do the same thing back. One day the Holy Spirit spoke to me clear as day that I was manipulating my husband and that it was a sin and that in Gods eyes he seen as bad as witchcraft. 😱 I quickly repented and shared with my husband. So glad for the Holy Spirit to bring to light what I didn’t necessarily see as being bad.
I give God Glory for the team behind Better together. I'm grateful to God for this channel. May God grant me the wisdom and Grace in my life. I still would love to speak to someone here

I can relate to the dance of trying to keep my daddy happy. Years of physical and emotional abuse has wrecked havoc on me trying to establish fulfilling relationships with men. I spent so much energy tryng to be the perfect daughter, sister and friend that being the perfect lover to guys seem to be out of reach. It is rewarding to be in the process of building intimacy with God, forgiving my dad, forgiving myself for a pattern of only entertaining what is emotionally unattainable and I sincerely look forward to welcoming my future husband when the timing is divine.

I know what that's like bc I was in a relationship years ago, and when fear has you under its control, you're always making wrong decisions. Every decision you're making in based on fear. I'm thankful to God he took me out of that situation.

Why do older women cut their hair to look like men? "The glory of a woman is her long hair." - bible.
