- Sea World Adventure Park in Orlando, FL. This is a PROSHOT of their BELIEVE show when it opened. I worked for Sea World of Texas and Sea World of Florida as a laser light show operator and designer from 1989 to 1995. I have to say that the shows we did back then were NOTHING compared to this show. This is the equivalent of a BROADWAY SHAMU SHOW. As a matter of fact, they actually had a Broadway Producer work on the show. My dear friends Mike Mairot (show producer) and Jenny Mairot (Head Whale Trainer) worked on this show. IT IS AMAZING!!! I hope you enjoy.
This is probably one of the top five greatest theme park shows ever made. It's really is a marvel

This brings tears to my eyes. I can remember watching this video when I was a kid and the music moved me. The whole show was beautiful, the set was awesome and the killer whales were amazing! I am crying still to this day! 😂

And I am just gonna say this coz I am sure people are gonna talk about it.....the whale doing waterworks is not Tilikum! That is Taku, he looks very much like Tilikum but he passed away in 2007. That is why this footage is so special.
Taku was Tilikum's son though! :)

This show, the set designs and big screens screams “FRUTIGER AERO AESTHETIC” along with One Ocean!!
there was a time when seaworld use to rival Disney theatrics, the music the choreography , everything. I miss the good old days

I think at the time of this post, One Ocean, SeaWorld was slightly going on its own ways, but now the show, Orca Encounter is no where near Disney's ideas. Believe and One Ocean were twin shows, with some different music in my opinion. Orca Encounter was the "mistake" of the family.

Orcas in Seaworld can be trained. I believe God gave Orcas the resiliency to adapt to live in the wild, swimming pools or in any weather. God showed in "Believe" show that God gave Orcas to humankind and allowed them to discover they have more talents and can follow instructions, and this talent can collaborate with music to entertain us. Orca's trainers are heroes; they overcome death to interact with whales to provide us with a decent show for all our families and could heal many mental or psychological ailments just by watching the show.
About Dawn, she is flawless! Accidents could happen to any profession. Dawn loves the whales just as we do. Prayers and thanks to you!
I bet you had a blast doing the best effects ever combine that with traniers skills plus amazing animals you got the greatest show ever.
I am in tears right now. The very first footage of Believe before it was introduced to the public. This was amazing!! Thank you so much for posting this! RIP Dawn. I know she's smiling down on all of SeaWorld's trainers and especially the whales. :,)
+Ellie Fish That I'm not sure of. Believe started around 2006. That's the same year Trua was born and his name is Icelandic for Believe. He's know as the Believe Baby. Ike was born in 2002 I think. These are just rough estimates. Going by what I DO know I don't think Ike was around when Believe started in Florida. If he was he was just a little tyke.

I'm also in tears but for very different reasons than you. When I look at this I see evil just 6 WA pure evil. What SeaWorld and it's employees do on a daily basis goes far beyond animal abuse. Instead of that BS video and it's BS naritive how about showing the truth. Show the footage from the 70's of the hired kidnappers stalking a pod of Orca's then attacking them in a visious assault using explosives and nets to confuse and separate calf's from their mothers. Several died, some where captured and the remaining family members cried and called for days and days while desperately following as their babies were towed into land never to be returned to their home. Play that on your jumbo screen. Tell the truth SeaWorld. Evil. Pure evil. And to think the public actually pays to go watch the abuse of animals. It is truly sick and twisted.
Look at all the flashbulbs going off when the whales breach the water..... brings back memories of when our whole extended family went to Orlando in 2007. Going for my 21st birthday in 2024.

I just want to thank you for putting this on TH-cam. It brought tears to my eyes seeing and hearing Laura speak. Obviously, the quality could have been slightly better, but heck-- the footage is fantastic.

Went in 2007, great show. Now no one goes in 2018. One Ocean was not as good as Believe.
We did impossible things back then! Many of us still do ..... Just not there. Sad.

You may enjoy the show, or protest against it... But one thing you must agree with me: The trainers have accomplished what all of us mortals had thought to be impossible...
They've believed... and they've done it.
So, please, let no protest bury their work, may their efforts be remembered.
The greater message of this show is not entertainment, but rather a lesson we heard long ago, and still hear till this very day, with little understanding about it:
"Everything is possible for one who believes."
I am not saying they should help the creation of other parks throught out the world, but rather care for the whales they already got in their parks in U.S., which certainly cost fortunes while some people believe the solution for the dilemma should be a full boycott to the show.
Let's find a common understanding cause this attitude just had the company to spread out overseas, by the creation of new parks, in order to keep its financial responsabilities to the whales and the financers of this whole enterprise.
Let's find a common understanding, and more than that, may videos like this one continue to touch our hearts and minds with the assurance that the work of the trainers will never be forgotten.
In memory of Dawn Brancheau and so many talented people who believed and gave their lives to accomplish the impossible here on Earth and space above!!!

I believe what you said is solemnly true. God Bless the Orcas and their trainers. It's a remarkable accomplishment. Their message and artistry, I believe, are inspired by the one above with Love, a taste of heaven from our GOD the FATHER to all of us, his children.
All I know is that we have to pray to God in every work to spare us from any accident. Trainers, please Pray with your ORCAS. I think they understand English in Seaworld ORCAS.

Thanks for uploading a good recording of the show, and at night as well! Nicely done, Chris. Those years working at SeaWorld must have been worth it. I can respect the fact that the folks at SeaWorld try their best at keeping the animals alive and in well being after all as well as the amount of love the trainers put into the animals in the parks. Sure we lost a few trainers during the process, but just reminding everyone that life at any given moment can be a big risk mostly due to our limitations. Everyone has to start and end at some point, so while it can be saddening to the families and coworkers of the trainers lost at I think 3 of the shows at least we know they tried the best they can. Thanks again for the video. Also, I had to edit this comment a few times since I'm trying my best not to tick off anyone.

Who is the male trainer in this show? (It's not John Hargrove or Jeff Ventrey). I've seen him before. I think he's worked for SeaWorld for a number of years. He is really good with the whales. He did a good job in this show. Can somebody please tell me his name?

The good old days when the trainers were where they are supposed to be... In the water!!!!
So you're saying you want more of them to get hurt because there were several incidents in the past when the trainers were in the water, where there were injuries. If they put the trainers back in the water there's a very high chance of someone getting injured.
If you had uploaded this earlier I bet Blackfish would have used it due to Dawn being introduced so early :)

This is one of the very first Believe shows and this was for all of the SeaWorld employees. They did not have the soundtrack completely finished, even SeaWorld Texas used the rehearsal for Believe soundtrack for four months after the show opened.

When SeaWorld was a place full of magic and truly adored their orcas by really showing them to the public. This is when SeaWorld really believed and had a heart full of passion. The activists and the people who do not educate themselves with the truth stripped that away from SeaWorld. I wish these days could come back. The orcas loved the waterworks, the socialisation and interaction. Such great times!
@leavewildinwild SeaWorld are the reason for that knowledge and research, they changed people’s attitudes of orcas and have brought so many passions. Them former trainers were either demoted or fired and they have spoken a bunch of lies. SeaWorld have found out so much about orcas that would be impossible to find out in the wild, they have among the best animal care and they have some of the largest data about orcas.

I have been watching alot of videos. I have never been to sêaworld im 48. I love all animals, nót humans so much. I have left alot of hate comments. These orcas are so beautiful, i dont think its right to use them to make money. These trainers i believe do love them. My only issues are #1 they are to big in small tanks, #2 in the case like tilikum and dawn something in my gút tells me he was treated bad after that. It isnt his fault nor was it hers bút he led a shit life after thât. Im nót sure how to feel. Like i said i LOVE all animals. Humans i tend to stay away from. Maybe someone from seaworld can give me info.
The show is not for money making. The show gave more than that. It healed many people with physical disabilities to thrive and improve with Love. It's healing for people with mental depression and mental disabilities. It is a joy to see them. Please open your heart. Hate cannot heal animals or people. Animals are created by God to help us realize the Love and awesomeness of our creator. God even entertained us with his animals because Orcas could learn more and witness it before our eyes.

Hate the way they keep captive orca that should be in wild and is a crock of shit their so smart they could let every on go and they will learn to hunt will not starve. But man it is amazing show they put one amazing show on Broadway cant perform as well as some orcas . how Smart they are wish the had a massive pipe from the pool to a lagoon so they can go home at the end of the day the do like people enough where they would probly go and return like cows dogs or other domestic animals. Boerlady You don't know what you are talking about. The trainers have the utmost respect and love for these animals. I have known several whale, dolphin and sea lion trainers personally over the years when I worked at Sea World in Texas and Florida and they LOVED the animals with all their hearts and would have done anything for them.

Thank you Chris for supporting Seaworld and the staff. Most people don't realize that Blackfish told lies and half truths. Seaworld has the utmost love and respect for Orca in its care. The Orca are natural performers just check out some videos on TH-cam and you'll see. I truly believe they like the stimulation and activities of performing they wouldn't do it if they didn't want to. A creature that large can not be forced to do anything he/she doesn't want to
