Beautiful the bond they had in the water! I wonder if the orcas miss the trainers being in the water with them. They probably do since they are such social mammals.
Poor Tilly. Captured by the men in suits for $$$ made to perform like a circus clown in a Scooby Doo sized pool. And RIP to Dawn. I know these trainers fell in love with these animals.
Wow, he was such a beast! I wish I could've seen him irl :( A few of these clips aren't Tilikum though, mostly the waterworks clips :) they never did any waterworks with him at SeaWorld because he has a history of aggression at Sealand of the Pacific (where he lived before).
You're absolutely right. It brings tears to my eyes when I see him performing for attention and food. None of these beautiful animals deserve that kind of life.
Wow - look at Dawn interact with Tilikum!!!! Pretty sure we saw them do the same in 2008! We recently watched the show where Trua celebrated his 14th Birthday! I was so fortunate to see this and can't wait for the next evolution for the whales!
@@kapes13 I think that was Katina her fin is a like slightly kinked if that makes sense. Even though people always associate Dawn with Tilly other trainers did work with him even though only the most senior trainers were allowed to do so.
I am waiting for the moment when one of those poor captives goes completely rogue and starts feeding upon one of his trainers during the show...Wouldnt blame the wale.
Is this after he killed Dawn? Tillikum not only doing the splash segments probably mentally helped him- ALL his sons are athletics but he doesn’t know as much behaviors and he’s 2,000 lbs bigger than most his son maybe that’s why he so slow & can’t get his whole body out the water
May this poor animal find peace now that he's dead.....the kind of peace he never had in life. Watch Blackfish. Stop supporting these creatures being held hostage. It is cruel. No matter how much fun you "think" they're having in these shows, they're not. They're miserable animals. Tilikum was not the only whale to be aggressive towards trainers. Most of the Orca at SW have lunged at trainers, have tried to keep them in the water against their will......so many incidents that Sea World would never release. Only after Dawn Brancheau's death were the public able to see that at least 70 plus incidents of aggressive behavior had occurred prior to her death. These Orca are not happy. They don't behave this way in the wild. Empty the damn tanks.
You are absolutely right. Although I have to admit I have been to one of these shows at Florida's SeaQuarium or Sea World I can't remember the name of it as it was so long ago. But, as I was younger you don't appreciate the rights and wrongs of something like this. If you look at their dorsals on here they are curled over which I think is a sign of distress - compare it to wild Orcas in New Zealand as in this video "/watch?v=2lGje4GvnoQ" you can see the difference. Look how upright the dorsals!
Actually, trainers are not allowed in the water with Tilikum. They were, until Dawns death, allowed on the slide outs, but not since. Dawn was pulled into Tilikum's tank from a slide out. The only people that have been in the tank with him, have died. He is too big and possessive. A lot of the shots in this clip are not Tilikum. Please don't misinform people.
@jaymangu ok and lets not forget that seaworld was the one who took him from his home, family, and everything he knew...ya id be pissed too and trying to send a message to ignorant people who obviously dont care.
I want to start by saying I'm 48 and never and will never go to a seaworld. This is so sad in ally of ways. Do I think the trainers love them prolly. But love don't pay the bills. Whales jumping in pools to small makes money. Humans and money are at fault for all the suffering. The animals suffer, trainers suffer, and the families of trainers. All so seaworld can make money.
Thank you! They didn't have cameras in the tanks at the time so they have no proof and even if Tilly did Attack the man that's because it was a stranger and Tilly wasn't used to people in his tank. If you had a dog that was friendly and someone broke into your house in the middle of night when you were not home, pretty sure that dog would act aggressive in self defense!
Tilikum was taken from the wild. He was stolen from his mothers care for the purpose of entertainment. I highly suggest you watch blackfish. During tilikums capture, he's pod sadly stayed around to beg the kidnappers(humans) to give him back. The people who were captured Tilikum highly regretted the act. If you truly love Tilikum you will not support his captivity.
Samantha Naszradi The only idiot here is you. How can you condone captivity? This is exploitation, animals are unhappy. I deeply love Tilikum and I would never go to see him in an environment that hurts him. You are half-wit and stupid. Do you know that? I'm sorry, but it had to be said.
I bet he still thinks of his mother. Kinda ironic they are showing footage of wild killer whales on a jumbo tron while captive killer whales swim underneath its glow. So sad. I wish the best for these whales. Tilly was so close to release when he was younger, but Seaworld just HAD to have him. Yet again, showing their greediness. You wouldn't want to be in prison, so why would they? Poor creatures.
Carliemarie Beal That is false. He was not close to release. Iceland had the final say over whether he was released or not. The government of Iceland was sent an inquiry over Tilikum's release in the early 1990s. and they chose not to.
+Carliemarie Beal Tilikum can't think of his mother, nor do I really think he knows of what happened when he was just a calf. Infant amnesia would only allow him to remember things from the age of 3-4 and up. My best bet would be that Tilikum's earliest memory would be of him in an aquarium. Then again, I'm no orca, nether are you, no one is, so we really don't know of what they're thinking.
+Carliemarie Beal Icelandic male killer whales leave their mothers at maturity, and believe it or not... but they are *animals*. Not sea people. We don't know if they can "think back" at all, but in any case, he was just three years when he was captured. This is the only life he knows. His release was discussed way back in 1992 after he was just moved to SeaWorld, but he was of course, found to be unreleasable. And back then he was just twelve years old.
WRONG. He was not, he was not about to be released, and he was in extremely abusive situation and Sea World put in an emergency motion to get him out of the conditions. If they had gotten him sooner out of there he probably would of been an entirely different personality.
@@r-erin2go380There is no way that SeaWorld would have allowed or even entertained the idea of Tilikum being released to a sea pen. He was too valuable, and for SeaWorld it's all about the money, not the welfare of the whales and God forbid, the trainer! They don't care about any of that! All they care about is how much money they can make off the backs of these whales. It's disgusting
Aww so nice to see him in more segments that probably made him so happy and more enthusiastic
Wow great fooage! Never seen Tilly do these bit of the show before :)
I love Tilikum. Those were the best parts I think. Tilly should get more interaction like that. He needs to be loved too!
Christina Wiesemann he needs to be in the ocean with his family!!
Sadly he passed away in 2017 we love you tilikum!
These are the kinds of things that SeaWorld was always doing with him! Splashing the audience wasn't the only thing he did there!
He seemed so much more enthusiastic back then
Tilikum was in Orlando. If he was I saw him when I was young
I was 8 when I first saw him and he became my first whale friend.
Same here.....Im pretty certain I saw him too.
Me too I think when I was 3
Beautiful the bond they had in the water! I wonder if the orcas miss the trainers being in the water with them. They probably do since they are such social mammals.
That isn’t Tilikum in the water with those trainers
@@ulisesmarvels This orcas in general I was saying beautiful.

Believe was beautiful and so was tilly 😭
Awesome footage!!!!!!! You saw loads! Tilikum, hydro, rocket hop, surf, vertical graband a nosestand! Good video taking! :D
ah, if there was a whole show just using tilikum i would've watched it
Tilikun fue maravilloso mi Orca preferida
In a lot ways and in the right circumstances....Believe would would have been a WOW thing! Still was...just perhaps under unfortunate circumstances.

Such a beautiful boy, Rest In Peace.
I love Tilikum💟❤😍
I love the parts of this video with Tilikum.
THANKS - WE LOVE TILLY!!! LOVE YOUR ISO FLIX on HIM> More , please. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
I've never seen him do the hula. That is the cutest ever. ♥
holy crap tillys huge im gonna miss him!
@katherine harvey He killed a trainer before he went into SeaWorld's care..
I LOVE Ur footages! They are perfect and incredible!
5 stars and fav! (:
The irony of the 'Something Far Greater' lyrics would be quite funny if it wasn't so terribly tragic
O Wow, ich möchte es in meinem Leben auch mal erleben! :o) Orcas sind einfach die schönsten Tiere für mich!

This video's title is misleading. Tilikum never has swimmers in the water with him, nor has he in his Sea World Orlando career.
Can I use this footages in my vids?
R.i.p tilly you didn't deserve to be captured taking from your family.
What. A beautiful show

Tilikum it's amazing! :)
amazing video! thank you for downloading :)
This isn't Tilly. After the 2nd murder, no one was ever allowed to get in the pool with him. He was only used to splash. This is not him.
It’s him, he has a pronounced dorsal collapse. These clips were likely from before Dawn was killed.
Yes it is him in the beginning he had a very distinct look plus his size. They were in the water with absorber whale
Please may I use this I'll credit you ?

The wounds on his body. The actual autopsy paints a very different picture of that man’s death.
I thought after the death of the last trainer, no trainers were allowed in the water with Tilikum???
This was before the death of Dawn Brancheau
No trainers were ever allowed to swim with Tilikum. The trainer is in the water with another whale not Tilikum in this video.
