Arden? Thank you so much! You know, a couple of months ago, I had a dream that I was with some other singers on a retreat. You walked in, and you told us that if we just sang from the energy of loving music as the art form, and because we love people, the audience would know it, and everything would just fall into place naturally. I had a huge mental shift last week! God healed me of hypervigilance! I now know that everything happens for a reason, and I don't have to be afraid of what may happen tomorrow. I needed to go through the painful events in my history because they taught me things that I needed to learn. If I had never gone through the fire (And, yes, I am talking in part about when the director of music criticized me every night when I was in a professional show.), I never could have risen from the ashes stronger and more beautiful inside than I was before. I think that I have let go of any and all Attachments to a desired outcome, other than "I hope God does His will in a mighty way!" With all of this being said, in around a week and a half, I have signed up to sing my prayer for world peace for a producer of America's Got Talent, on Friday the 24th. I even have arranged to start having my weekend on Fridays, so I could afford to take that Friday off! You said last week to get resourceful! If you can't afford to have two days off of work, if you know about an audition beforehand, you can arrange that day to be your weekend! :D ...I am approaching this audition as simply an opportunity to make music. Earlier today, I told someone on one of Estelle Richter's channel " I have asked my priest and some friends of mine to pray that God will sing through me in this audition and bless the life of someone who hears me sing. As for the rest (whether or not I find myself on the stage at Radio City Music Hall), that is completely up to God! If He wants me to sing my prayer for world peace in front of a huge audience, it will happen. I'm just going to see this audition as an opportunity to be of use to someone who hears me sing.
