The Xbox version is the best because it has the sharpest textures and the most prominent visual effects (like the sun shading effects and the muzzle flash effects) and it also supports custom soundtracks and 4-player co-op. However, unlike the other versions, the Xbox version doesn't feature the unique load screens for each mission. Instead, it only shows a clip of a helicopter flying with a blue filter for each mission it loads. Since the GameCube version was released last, some gameplay improvements have been made whilst keeping the 4-player co-op from the Xbox version intact, although certain cutscenes were shortened presumably because of disc space restrictions. The PS2 version is easily one of the worst PS2 ports around; blurriest graphics, choppiest frame rate, and co-op mode is only 2 players as opposed to 4 players on GameCube and Xbox. The PC port lacks co-op mode, but it features its own multiplayer mode where you can play Deathmatch and stuff with other players and it just isn't that good of an offering because it not only pales in comparison to co-op mode but it's completely useless if you don't know anyone else who owns the PC port of this game.
@@elwey7552 I believe the GameCube version targets 60 FPS as well, but none of the console versions are locked at 60 FPS. Only the PC version is if you have the capable hardware.
@revenge1205 i meant the max framerate that they can reach, but thanks I tested the GC version on dolphin, it seems that it reaches max 30 fps, but very solid 30 fps. Also fun fact you can only play the full campaign on two player splitscreen 3 players or more skip to the third mission. And also, it seems that the ps2 version is using a lower quality mode: it uses 448i instead of the normal 480i.
@@revenge1205 So I'm playing this game for the 1st time as of Feb 2024, which version should I try? PC, PS2 via PCSX2 emulator for PC or Xbox via Xemu emulator for PC?
@@BravoSixGoingDark Oof, that’s tough. If you ask me, I don’t recommend using emulators at all. In addition to them just being totally unreliable, they actually have issues running a majority of games in terms of accuracy and whatnot. I would strongly suggest buying an original Xbox and playing it that way, but if that’s not an option, then just play the PC port even if it isn’t the best version.
I used to play one of these game series on PS2, namely Conflict Dessert Storm 2 or Conflict Global Terror, hehe.. Btw, I like the PS2, Xbox, and PC versions bro, great!! 👍😁

Ps2 and gamecube run at 30fps while xbox and pc run at 60?

I loved this game on PS2 in my childhood, I didn't remembered the bad was so bad.
For me i saw this game since 2006 it was kind of a military recuse fighters. I think i will go with my old company as GameCube

I like the PS2 and PC version of this
game.
Im surprised how good the GC version looks
I used to play one of these game series on PS2, namely Conflict Dessert Storm 2 or Conflict Global Terror, hehe.. Btw, I like the PS2, Xbox, and PC versions bro, great!! 👍😁
Might be worth pointing out that the PS2 footage features the Delta Force (USA) uniforms. All the other footage features the SAS (UK)
PS2 version looks almost unplayable in terms of frame rate.
unfortunately yes
True but back in those days I didn’t notice framerates much lol
Nostalgic
I'm sure people say this a lot with almost every old game, but I honestly don't recall the PS2 version looking or running that bad.
PS2 and most of its games were made back when most people used CRT TVs. They looked good on those
loved the game in my top 10. ps2 for me its about rhe controller my second choice the gcube. it was and is a fun game to play.
To be honest you can just add reshade on the PC version to make it sharper.
PC is definitely the best, and I think it’s the best for shooter.
I never understood why the frame rate on PS2 is catastrophic
They even made a game of this attack
Now on PC you have to lock the game to 60 or 30 fps to make it playable 😅😅😅
I own all these games for my ps2 and xbox console and I gotta say even tho I think ps2 is better in general xbox wins on this
Obscure pls 🙏🏻
I like play PS2
fps is low in the ps2 version
Xbox 🎮
