Great video. Caught a huge bull bluegill when I was a boy that was tagged for a CITGO oil company contest. Only got honorable mention, but it was exciting. Can't imagine how you felt getting that bull shark. Nice going, Ty!

Very blessed trip, I caught a tagged largemouth years ago. Tag was from SC fish and Game and was tagged with in 3 miles of where I caught it. Thanks Ty, looking forward to seeing the next video as like all your trips are great. Thanks brother for sharing your adventures, time and passion for fishing. I got bitten by a Red a bunch of years back and found out that they have very sharp teeth. Why are you wading into turbulent murky waters when you just got done saying there are bull sharks all around and even caught a small one? Anyway, cool video thanks for posting.

Wow, that water is ridiculously clear for the Texas coast. Anything that doesn't look like chocolate milk these days is clean for the Texas coast. Awesome session, bro! Take one of those jacks home, filet it, put the filets in a ziplock with some oyster sauce overnight, and cook em on the grill. Epic eating.

He has a great documentation of how scared those sharks really are of humans. When he pulls that black tip in the camera guy spooks him so its turns toward ty then sees ty and bolts again to the left. Honestly your far more likely to chomped when its out the water funny enough.

I’ve caught a tagged river sturgeon in MN once… it’s always so cool. I also helped with the fishing during a catfish survey with an interstate DNR team once… only fish I caught that day was a baby flathead about 11” long! 😂

Another epic beach day. Man y'all caught some nice ones. Got me itching for some reds and sharks. I've never caught a jack crevall. I've called a lot of hardtail jacks in outer Banks but no Jack's like that from the shore. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the tag and seeing you and your dad's lil pond slaying. Spinning rods aren't designed to be bent in the opposite direction like that. On a spinning rod, the guides are mounted on the underside of the backbone or spline, while on a baitcasting rod the guides are mounted on top of the spline. I'm very surprised that he hasn't broken that rod yet.

I've fished a little in chest high water in tropical waters (I'm in the UK). I wasn't crazy about it - what with having struggling fish in the water, sending out distress signals etc... Still, it's always good to fish.
I only do it to cast the bait then scurry back to the beach :)

@Ty PigPatrol i dont know how far you travel, but right now theres a crazy event happening in my home state of NC, on the Ocracoke island beach, massive blue fish are running Spot onto the beach, because the spots dont wanna get eaten. This hasn’t happened since about the 90s, but if you have the will and commitment to go that far, im sure itd be a heck of a video. And you may have already seen the videos of it all on Facebook but i just wanted to say that
