How nice to see these smaller lines getting some attention. That looks a very pleasant ride, and some interesting rolling stock. It seems to offer asylum for Southern rolling stock. A Class 47 as well, too.
Hi Andrei. These Thumpers are really rare bits of kit in preservation, the engine sound is amazing (you can just hear it on the return trip} I think the only others I have seen were at the Lavender line in East Sussex and Coventry Electric museum (now closed). This line needs as more people visiting such a lovely area. The track bed and track is still in place for further extension if they had the money to move on....Regards Chris
Fascinating Chris, a strange place to see so much Southern Region stock, and to ride a 'Thumper' in Blood & Custard livery was a special treat...Best wishes....Bob
The only other line I have seen one running is the Lavender line in East Sussex, but that was a long time ago...I' so pleased I have made the visit as we have passed it so many times.......Regards Chris
Like you Chris we stopped off for a look a couple of years ago on our way home from a stay at Culgaith on the S&C.... but it was very quiet. It was nice to take this ride with you to see what we missed. Lovely countryside, shame about the plastic fields though. Cheers, Brian.
Ready wrapped fruit and veg a must have at super markets today, what happened to the paper bag? LOL! It is a shame that they don't get more people stopping off for a ride, lovely scenery all around......Regards Chris
It really is a big railway Dave, they just don't have the money or man power to move on along the line. The track is still in place. The location of the station is a bit out of the way as well although you can see it from the A66,but like me most people don't stop due to traveling long distances....Regards Chris

Excellent video :)
Will the line ever be extended beyond its current limits?
I would say not Louis, the line is still connected to the mainline at the far end of the line, which they don't go up to.
@@wooltman I see thank you :)
Nice video Chris. Can I have permission to use a couple of screen shots for an article in the EVR Magazine which mentions wooltman's video?
Hi, I don't mind as long as it is ok with YT....Could you add me to the credits if you use the shots.....Regards Chris
@@wooltman Thanks Chris; credits will be made.
