  • You have everything at this railway, planes and helicopters landing and taking off, steam train, what more do yo need!
We enjoyed our visit to this railway,we like Narrow gauge railways anyway.
Just one problem we noticed! THE RIDE PRICE IS TO CHEAP!!!
£1 each for a trip this is too cheap! £2.50 and a child £1 would be about right, that would be well worth the money.
Great bunch of guys running the railway.

TRIVIA: The LCLR was founded by a group of Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway volunteers, based in Lincolnshire who got tired of driving to and from Wales, before the M62 motorway was built.

That’s a shame as you missed a nice little railway, somewhere to visit on your next trip.

If your going on a day out or holiday anywhere and you want to know where the railways are just ask Bob! Although we missed the Swansea M.E.S when we came down your way last time LOL! This now clears this area apart from a private one in Louth......Best wishes Chris.

Another good railway , thats the one Bob visited , as you say plenty there to enjoy , again one I went on years ago I think , but after watching through not sure as I do not remember the airport , your footage is very clear Chris , is that the Panasonic 920 you used ? ..Skegness is a place I loved to visit when the old Butlins Camp was there , had a couple of Wakey Wakey holidays with them ...back in early sixties ...Dave

Hi Dave.I'm not sure if Bob rode this railway,he rode the The Lincolnshire Wolds railway (standard gauge) and the Cleethorpes Coast railway (15 inch gauge) plus the Nene Valley railway (Standard gauge)....The railway is laid out in the grounds of the Skegness Water Leisure Park, they started building the railway in 1992 and it opened in 2009,the steam loco was repaired and put into service in 2017.
Butlins is still at Skegness it is just across the road from the road that leads up to the Leisure Park.
No such luck Dave,we have a Panasonic but not a 920,it is I think one down from that one,it's a HC-X900m it has a hard drive built in plus a sd card. We always use the hard drive, not bad for it's age.......Best regards Chris

Being a Kiwi, i'm in awe of what the UK has to offer to the pure railway enthusiast, Britain invented the railway, was foremost in the evolution of the steam locomotive, the first, (well, before New Zealand) to enter the preservation scene of not only standard gauge but also narrow gauge and a myriad of miniature railways dotted throughout the UK, i'm totally impressed, love your videos too.

Hi Zane..Yes the UK has more than it's fair share of steam or other railways. We set out 50 years ago to ride all the Preserved railways of the UK. With a few breaks due to having a family lol! We are still finding new ones to visit all the time. We have just over 110 to go...Hopefully we should visit a few this year. We are pleased that you enjoy watching our productions..We set out to record the railways as a record of the railway for my own collection, this is why we video the ride, this can be boring for some...It is nice to now people from all over the world watch our trips and enjoy them..This makes it all worth while....Best wishes Chris and Rosie

Looks very interesting and very busy, I agree, the fares are too cheap for a nice ride like this. Nice locomotive and rolling stock, tidy facilities and looks a lot of fun.
