Im in the works of booking a solo trip to Iceland (July/August) and from the options Expedia has given me, Midgardur seems to catch my attention. Is it definitely worth a long term stay? (6-8 days)
Amazing, that’s a great time to visit! If you are planning on staying in just Reykjavik I’d recommend staying in at least 2 different places each side or Reykjavik has its own vibe and it’s incredibly immersive to staying in different parts or the city. I would say that it’s a great place to stay for its value. I LOVED the amenities! Hope this helpful!
That definitely seems like helpful information! I want to stay in one place as far as a hotel just for a "home" during the travel. But obviously I want to be sure where I stay is comfortable. If I find a secondary location to split the stay the trip I will look into it. What catches my attention of Mid. is the gym and the spa. Cannot do without it! 😅@@trailandtravel
@@trailandtravel Just an update, I just came back from Iceland a few days ago and managed to stay at Midgardur the first two nights. An amazing experience! I got to check out the outdoor hottub and the indoor one as well. I actually had a similar view on the 3rd floor but the rooms to the right looking out where you stayed. Still a pretty good experience!
Looks like a cool spot to stay.
it was lovely!
Looks like a cool spot. I love all the unfinished concrete.
It was a a great place. The unfinished concrete is a staple in Iceland architecture!
