I have one and she is absolutely gorgeous I love her and her name is Carly her original name was Lucy then it was Karma now it is Carly she has some issues with her eyes and that is one of the downfalls of having one they have usually blue eyes and that makes the light hit off their eyes and if they look through a screen they will try to attack you mine is very protective of me and will go through anything for me I will sit next to her and she will get up and lay on me I love her but there is only about 300 of them in the world they need to start breeding them or they will die out so when you or if you get 1 take good care and try not hold back yourself and only get one they are a handful

only issue i have with my girls health is some dry skin and her eyes are ectropion. alapahas are prone to being borb with entropion eyes where the lids and lashes fold inward irritating it and can cause eye issues. Surgery fixes it. mine is opposite her lid folds out giving her a sad sulking look. Both forms aren't major issues tho joints should be monitored.
Thor is a Blue Blood and I had a chance to see how his puppys looked like with a pittbull terrior. They are cute but not as cout as the twins that came out just like him, unfortunatly we could not have a puppy because of the fact that the pregnancy was not planned. however, my freind has a girl and i have yet a chance to see his puppy grow up. these dogs are very smart and it is hard to find them. so beautiful
He has good form and really good movement. I would prefer just a little bit less undershot in his muzzle/jaw. Albeit. he appears to be able to breathe well enough. i wonder how his bite work would go? He is a really pretty dog for sure.

Mike and Michelle No you misunderstood me,Alapahas are a pure breed,they com from the Alapahas indigenous people,when Spain came to America they brought large mastiff type dogs that were then bred to the working cur dogs of the Alapahas Indians that had mottled coats, they're as old as any bulldog of America, I was just saying people who mix breed and say the merle is a true pit bull terrier,Peace!
He came from Alabama Alapaha Kennels. His mom is a chocolate and white named Reese and his dad is a blue merle like him from Ball Ground Alapahas in Georgia. He most resembles his dad in looks and personality. The most obedient, protective, well behaved, and loving dog I've ever owned. And goofy too lol.
if it a rescue why is it worth 2500 does that not defeat the purpose of rescuing i understand like 200 because shots and neutering but 2500 not a good rescue in my eyes you can get a purebred for less that one of the upside to rescues your saving a life and cheaper

However, ALL #Pets #DESERVE & #NEED #Love & #Homes #nomatterwhat ! Regardless of Cost or Price they are #Priceless to me! I have had #purebred #dogs & #mixed #dogs and they are all wonderful #Members of the #Family ! I have rescued from a pet store because it is heartbreaking! My Mackenzie was $500 & he lived 17 years as a dog, that is a very long time! He is in Heaven now with My Lucky Dog which they were total opposites but Lucky was found bt me in the middle of an interstatw! Mackenzie was with me when I stopped my car to save Lucky. I loved him so very much and he was a Black Lab Mix however he thought he was a little Rat Terrier because he was a puppy when I found him. He passed at 10 years still a long life but little Mackenzie outlived him! The loss was so hrd but I have 2 moredogs that are brother & sister which I paid $500 to keep them together and they are the loves of our family! Uma & Thurman are a HUGE Part of our lives! They are 3/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 Pug! We have taken in strays, bred English Bulldogs and my Dad sold them for very affordable prices because they need to be in families! All pets need #LOVE as do #AllHumans & #Creatures of #God The #Point is don't go to a breeder when there are plenty of #PureBred #Dogs #Cats #Animals in need of #RESCUE wherever they may be! ~Kerri~
that's what I was saying rescuing an animal your saving a life. I just don't agree with a rescue or someone claiming a to be a rescue to charge alot of money. breeders on the other hand are different obviously

They are rare and so rescues often misidentify this breed as olde english or other bullies. Sometimes as pitties and staphie mixes too. If you have knowledge of the breed id highly suggest looking in shelters. So many get put down because people think they are pitties and stereotype them so they dont consider adopting. The wholr stigma against bullies and pits. hell people avoid my 5 yo chi pug mix 20lbs at most because they assume she is a pit bull puppy. 2.5 is around the price of a puppy and is actually on the lower end so rescue is def cheaper if u want the benefit and experience of having this breed, adopt or rescue. Can even foster if you aremt sure.
