@@bamachine Complete Non sense. He can sound just like his father, I've seen him do it live more than once. He just chooses to do his own thing which is why he is what we call multi talented. Nashville wanted him to be his father. He told nashville to fuck off, and became his own artist.

These are two of my favorite Hank Jr songs. Other favs are Country Boy Can Survive, All My Rowdy Friends and Born to Boogie.
I have the funniest memory associated with Family Tradition though. When I was in college I was in marching band and we went to Dublin Ireland to march in the New Years Day parade. New Years Eve, all 300+ of us went to a club and had requested Family Tradition. At the chorus, we did the reply lines quite loudly and drunkenly. The looks on the Irish locals faces were priceless. All these drunk Americans screaming out “TO GET DRUNK”, “TO GET HIGH” and “TO GET LAID”. It was an unforgettable experience.

Also tells the riveting stories of people like Hank Sr, Patsy Cline etc.

During the song Family Tradition during the chorus you have to add the extras so when he says "why do you drink" you say "to get drunk" "why do you smoke" you say" to get high" "why do you live out the songs you wrote" you say" to get laid"

In Family Tradition, the first line says "Country music singers have all been a real close family" -- so "Family Tradition" is about all of the old country music singers he would hang out with. When he references "so lonesome I could cry" and "your cheating heart" - those are his daddy's (Hank Sr.) songs. For fun songs that'll make you laugh - try "The Winner" by Bobby Bare and "You're the reason our kids are ugly" by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. Old Country and great songs.
