Rino, it’s very inspiring to witness your growth as a web designer. I could remember those first days when you were ‘shy’ but still came across the camera great. I see a ‘mature’ Rino now and you’re still crushing in. Keep up the excellent work. Happy that you’re continuing to share your journey with us.
I call this real content, not fake content especially made for us. Most TH-camr following an idea or create a story board which not allows for random things from happening. Personally, I like real content, also in a documentary way. You show what you care, worry or do - we get to know you better in person and this puts also more trust between you and your audience. Looking to forward to the next interesting video, Rino.
Hey there Rino! I'd seen this video before but didn't play it. But as I watched the intro to your new course, I saw that you recorded it in Bali, got curious, and came back here to view this video. Congrats on having picked Indonesia and settling there to do your work, especially when you're accompanied by your GF. I hope you're feeling better, and wish you continued success with all your endeavors.
Have learned many apects of using Elementor by subscribing to your TH-cam channel since more than a year now. Your content is easy to understand and I love the hands on approach! Thanks a ton... Am 50+ now and have been creating websites for myself and for my friends from sometime now. Someday soon I hope to start a new chapter in my life as a web designer with a few friendly clientele...;)
Amazing video, Rino. I actually watched it twice because, as some have mentioned, this is real content. It's also great to see your evolution. Very refreshing. Even I, at the age of 56, plan to make a similar move one day and seeing your video is also an inspiration. Be well.
Thanks for sharing your trip to Bali Rino, especially since I really want to visit there...and ideally stay for several months. The scenery, skateboard parks, culture are awesome. Can't wait to go there one day...soon.
@Rino de Boer I really enjoyed this video. Made a refreshing change from all the hustle and bustle out there in the social media world. It’s good to take time for yourself and recharge. I have been watching your tutorials on TH-cam and designing my own website (I have hardly any knowledge) and can I just say NO ONE explains Elementor as well as you. I am going to enroll on your course next month, if it’s anything like your TH-cam videos, the content will be amazing. Can’t wait. Off now to see what else I can learn.
Hey Rino, thanks so much for your insights and the great conent! Love the way you’re taking and seeing many similiarities between you and myself (apart from you being a couple of years ahead of me). I would love to get in touch. Best regards from Canggu 😁🙏🏼
I love it! I have been following you since you made a Figma tutorial video and that very same day, I learned Figma! Please do a KRITA tutorial too coz you are the only person I ever wanted to watch a tutorial videos. ❤
Happy to see you achieved balance in your life. So different from what you've told us about when you were overworking and your office burned down. Be grateful, you're doing amazing. Consider Latin-america for your next nomad travel, but learn a little bit of spanish, its difficult to find people who talk english here 😅, but even if most people don't know, they'll be happy to help you. I liked that video format, showed us more about your personality, and its an aspirational video for those who want to be nomad workers. Thanks for sharing both your life and knowledge. If I were in your position, I'll keep your name for the agency.
Hi Rino, Thumbs up for this short video! It is nice watch this video and catch a glimp of your life in Bali! Keep following your dreams! It all starts with perception! Stay focused and and your dreams will become reallity! Greetz from The Netherlands! Regarding your other tutorials.......keep up the good work! Best regards from the Netherlands Nadine from Nadine WebDesign
Hi Rino! I am still in Bali and I think I am feeling the same things as you, only in a slightly more populated area. However, the location where I am staying is a dream, and it really helps you work much more efficiently; it's quiet compared to the busy streets, and they have everything you need to get your plans accomplished. This is my first time in Bali, and unfortunately, I am only staying for two and a half weeks, but I will definitely be back next year for two months. I have been to Ubud, where you are staying, twice, and it's superb, except for the traffic. I am a fan of the beach and the sound of the waves from time to time, and I prefer a quiet hotel with a garden, pool, etc., exactly as I have at the moment. I recommend Alindra Villas & Spa to those who want to come to Bali; large, clean rooms of all types, from modern to Balinese style, very responsive staff, and good food at extremely low prices.
Yea totally agree on the areas. Even though I stay around Ubud I am always trying to avoid the center of Ubud, because that makes me stressed. Thanks for the recommendation!
As a fellow webdesigner and digital nomad I love your videos! Bali is beautiful and nice to see how it also helps you create better life work balance. I was wondering, I prefer working on bigger screens while on my travels. When you stay longer on a location, do you rent a screen? Because I saw you using a external monitor. Enjoy your flow!
Thank you! I also have the same preference for a bigger screen, so I bought a 4k monitor. But its quite hard to move around with and makes traveling tiring imo, so I am actually in the process right now to simplify my set up to make traveling easier. This means trading my macbook 14 inch for a 16 inch (so that I can just work from the 16 inch and can ditch my monitor) and then using my iPad as a second screen when I need to. Also my audio set up is quite clunky right now (with a microphone arm) so I am going to buy a smaller usb mic. I also want the set up to be fully battery powered since the power sometimes turns off in Bali. So yea, work in progress, but in short: I am starting to care more about convenience than maintaining the perfect setup while traveling.
Thank you for the great Video. In two weeks i Go to a greek Island for 6 month to do the Same AS a ui/ux Designer. I cant wait to start in the morning with sea View and nice people around me. Go Forward rino and enjoy your trip!😊
Hi, Rino. I hope you enjoy Bali. I think you could recommend Verdi to have Elementor Global Conference in Bali gathering all Elementor Leaders, Lovers, Influencers for meetups & holiday too. I may fly there from Jakarta when it happens ^^ Cheers & Success
This kind of western style villa's aren't cheap, around 30m a month (1900 USD), but you can get a lot cheaper in Bali. Next time I am going to look for something cheaper I think.
Day in the Life of a nuub getting up to speed...I bet many would like to know what's the optimum theme/pluggin/template selection (ASTRA / Elementor / ASE / Solid Security?) for those keeping costs to a minimum and using free versions, those targeting simple sites to get themselves up and running efficiently, 'mobile first' fast and a modern feel?
Wonderful work. I have question. Would you be able to live like this if you didn't have a TH-cam channel? How much has the TH-cam channel helped your design business? I'm asking because I don't know if I need a TH-cam channel to help boost my business
My income for the last 5 years have been a mix of TH-cam and client work. Some periods client work does better, some periods TH-cam. Last 2 years it was mainly TH-cam income. Right now I am in the process of starting up client work again, because I don’t like being too dependent on TH-cam, since that makes things feel forced. Regarding client work, it does help with getting clients, but if I would just do it for clients then I would make different videos. My videos are more for fellow web designers and sharing things I have learned. I just love making videos. I say this because its a lot of work to make videos, people underestimate it often. But it does help with marketing.
It's always nice to see that the internet can let us work from anywhere, but there's still a reason to meet with people face-to-face.

All the content is real, and almost all the content is scripted. But, Rino makes this so well that you feel like that. The guy is awesome.
@@eduardo_aqui Absolutely. There is always a plan (guideline; script) but as you said already, it feels not strict and very natural.
Being a web designer and living in SEA is the dream come true! 🏝️💻
Jeff, when will be your turn staying in Bali? LOL 😍
@@clementyo4526 I see a Bali trip in my near future 🔮
Love this new direction! Beautiful scenery and a great insight into your daily routine. Keep enjoying your time in Bali! 🤙

I'm an Indonesian living in Bali. I often watch your TH-cam videos

Lekker bezig man!
How you manage all these staff. Did you use notion or something else?
Yea, I use Notion for project management and Slack to communicate with my freelancers.
do you travel with all that gear or is it part of the apartment?
I used to, I just sold a lot of the stuff and bought more light battery powered stuff. So now my whole TH-cam setup can fit in a backpack.
