so great to see you back! I really missed your content 🤍
I worked as a ux designer for a month at a small start up (being the only designer in the company) and the pressure I felt from my boss to work fast so that the engineers have work to do was sterssing me out so much that I couldn't handle it... so I quit after just one month 😿 also the amount of meetings was draining indeed lol
I hope I can have a better experience in the future, giving it was my first time working as a designer.. or maybe ux is just not for me, I guess we'll see lol
anyways love to see your vlogs again 😇

I'm a Product Designer and the amount of meetings is something I didn't anticipate either (there's a lot of things I didn't expect tbh😅). However, I block off my lunch and focus times (unless it's urgent), ask people if they need me for particular meetings, and prefer off-camera meetings if I can get away with it lol. I'm introverted too, so I definitely end the day mentally exhausted, but I also asked for a 4 day work week, so it's a great trade-off.

Im a ux student but I dont even see the point in becoming a ux designer since companies only want senior product designer 😂 I guess I’ll just become a product creator as a side hustle.

I read that UX design openings are down by 71% from 2022 to 2023. 😳

@@RobZ-u3r yea its kinda not worth getting into, but Im not gonna give now yet since I just started and I still value the knowledge that I am getting from my courses.

I'm so glad you're back, have been checking your channel for updates after the burnout video - which I felt in my soul. I hope you're feeling refreshed and well. I'm curious about the style of development your company does. I'm having some challenges on an agile team and would love some insight into the processes of other companies. Similar to the comment below mine, I feel immense pressure to have high fidelity designs done quickly (with no user testing) so that engineers have work to do. Sometimes I feel like we're taking the UX out of the process and it's really just design (all with me guessing what the users will do and think with absolutely no data). It's extremely frustrating! Would love to hear your thoughts.

I love excalidraw! so quick to draw digitally rather than pencil and paper. Do you save your excalidraw files and send them to others?

I know right! I actually copy them into my figma files for when I go into higher fidelity!
