Box to Bench with the Niksan Tacto-S in .22 cal. This might just be your next 30 FPE truck airgun

- If you are interested in something new to the US airgun market, pay attention. While Niksan Defense is not a new company, or new to the airgun world, they are relatively unknown in the US market. Recently PCP Kong has stepped up as the US importer and distributor and they are being offered for sale by DonnyFL @donnyfl and The Pellet Shop. @ThePelletShop
On a recent trip to Central Florida I was treated, and I do mean that word intentionally, to an opportunity to try out one of the new arrivals. This airgun was removed from a shipping crate, given the standard once over by Travis at DonnyFL and I was out the door to do some test shooting. I can confirm that my sample was a random gun, not a hand selected "pick of the litter."
The Tacto features a 1/2x20 UNF thread muzzle, a tensioning barrel shroud, 200 bar fill, foster connection, pic rails, adjustable and folding buttstock and a 12 round magazine in .22. You can get it in .25, but lose 2 pellets per mag. It's unregulated, but comes with a decent pair of folding "iron" sights.
In this video you'll see chrono numbers, 30 yard shooting with open sights and an Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 FFP @ElementOptics as well as a 60 yard accuracy.
There's a lot to like in this little package, and this one is going home with me. Expect to see more from it! - กีฬา

This is my second Niksan video. I'm very impressed, especially at this price point.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to take the PCP plunge yet. In comparison to the models and manufacturers that I have seen tested since my interest in airguns was reawakened several years ago, these guys are literal tack drivers.
I’ve had fun with the Tacto and it’s an easy one to recommend.
Ric: I made the PCP plunge several years ago. My first was the Umerex Guantlet. It cost $349. Soo!! many choices since then and all better. U will not regret the swap
Reminds me of my Kral Puncher Breaker. It's also made in Turkey. The mag loads the same. Very easy to work on them. If they have a valve as consistent as Kral. It's going to be a winner. 🎯👍

That one was a loaner, but it is awesome!
Most people wouldn’t treat this gun as a benchrest competition gun. But, it was very accurate at 60 yards. So, with that long rail, you could put an over the barrel wide bipod for extra stability. If you wanted to. 😅 By the way, very nice iron sight accuracy at 30 yards! 🏆
Thanks. The lack of a regulator is going to cause the shot string to have more drop as the distances get out there, but if you were willing or able to tether… let’s just say it would be interesting to see what it could do at a 75 yard benchrest competition.

not what i would call back yard friendly but seems nice and acurate probably would not be too hard to throw a regulated bottle on it with a little work lol
The Buck rail {3D printed} suppresssor should fit while being very affordable!

i checked it out at the pellet shop and a little high for a un reged gun but the acuracy you showed makes up for that a little bit

A fella might really expect more shot count with a minimal fps spread on a .22 with a bottle that gi-normous.
If you look at it from a rifle perspective, that’s a fair conclusion. If you look from a pistol perspective it’s not bad. In part two I’m going to boost that a bit.
Great review. Interesting gun. Certainly one I'd be interested in, but the shot count is really, really lacking for having such a big bottle on it. If the fill pressure was up there in the 3600 or even 4k psi range, it would make a world of difference in shot count..

There's a lot that goes into making a smooth running semi auto. It's usually a compromise. There are some good options out there, and I'm sure a few things just over the horizon.
Nice new to most of us rifle. If you change out that bottle for a shorter higher pressure one with the add on regulator, you've got a really nice truck/ Iguana gun. Sorry what is the price?

The Tacto is out of stock, but the Ozark TW is the same action, and we do have a Scavenger which is a hybrid of the two rifles with a carbon fiber tank. Email the DonnyFL website and we can talk more.

It sounds extremely loud!!
It's a short barreled, unshrouded airgun with a reasonable power, so yes, it has a pop to it. Definitely better with a moderator.
