I loved this side-by-side comparison! Your cinematography skills always really bring out the visual differences really well - I always feel like you're punching way above your (current) subscriber count on video production quality mate. Keep it up!
I think a better comparison would be the Glendronach 15 vs 18. Honestly, I think the 15 year is the best of the bunch - Best value of the 12, 15, 18 and 21 year Glendronach offerings. Regardless of price, that's my favorite.
One Whisky I would love to see you review is Glenfiddich Orchard that can now be found in Sainsbury’s and possibly Waitrose. No one else has released a review on TH-cam so it would be good to see you reviewing it before someone else. Not only because Glenfiddich doesn’t release many experimental editions but also the concept for such a brand sounds interesting.
Cheers man!! Yeah I was debating blind, but then I can’t decide… I can always give it a go! I’ve been dead keen to try some blind tasting etc, but there just so many things on the list!
It really depends on how much it actually is!! If, for instance, it went over £80 for me (a 25% increase over its current price) I’d have to think very hard about picking it up. On the other hand, the 12 at £55 (the same increase) would still be well worth it. That’s basically how I feel about the GlenDronach 15 and 18. The 18 is incredible, but for the price it’s just too expensive when the 15 gives you almost as good an experience for a way lower price. I hope that helps, John! Cheers! 🥃🥃🥃
Well I have a bit of a confession… I actually know both of these whiskies quite well and the tasting was partially for the camera, and partially to jog my memory, so on this one maybe water wasn’t the most important 😅 But yeah, if I wasn’t quite so familiar, I would be sure to drink water between tastes, leave a few mins between, but also make sure to warm my palate up with something really mild. Slainte! 🥃
@@itsgoodjuice Good to know that ur not a total palate savant getting all those great tasting notes purely on the fly! How did u obtain such sophistication after only two years of whisky experience?! Were u previously an aficionado of beer or a different spirit, or a homebrewer or something?
The 15 is my favorite whisky and your take is spot on. The 15 kind of coats your mouth it is so rich. Very well done comparison
Ben. Your video/audio quality is the best I’ve seen. This member of the whisky community misses your reviews dearly. All the best to you.

That really means a lot, thank you!! I love playing with cameras. It’s one of my favourite hobbies! Close to that 1k now 🤞🤞

On the rare occasions I find the 15 where I live, it will be almost 4x the price of the 12. Definitely getting one on my next overseas trip though.
Great review! Where dyou get your background music from? Really like it.
I've not tried either, but now I really want to give them a side-by-side to see if the difference is as apparent to me!
Do it!! But definitely let me know your thoughts. Great whiskies, but a clear winner for me. 🥃🥃
Regarding the color... more water on the 12 too.
Brilliantly put together comparison, loved the side by side visuals. Solid vid as always mate!
Thank you mate! Very much appreciated. 🥃🥃
That 15 is one of the best, imo.

Well… I’ll see what I can do!
I dig on this comparison concept. Might even be fun to do it blind to guarantee no age bias. But either way I like the back and forth between the two.

Really like the comparison aspect, keep them up!
Thanks, Chris! 🥃
Glad not the only one to use the old SpongeBob reference 🤣. Nice little battle buddy 👌

Love the 15. For me it is so much better.
Couldn’t agree more!! 🥃🥃
In my market the 15 is a little more than twice the price of the 12. Would you say the 15 is still worth the extra?

Great review fella like this style to. Keep them coming.
Cheers man! Will do! 🥃🥃🥃
