    I've had this exact combination for just over a month now, and I absolutely adore it. My MX-5's name is Oscar, and he's such a fantastic all-rounder. To the people saying Camaros are better: they're different cars, stop trying to compare them.

      Evan Vance That's what I've finally decided on. I feel like 90% of them are going to be red. The tan leather just looks so sharp with the grey and will be a lot less common.

    Probably the most popular redesigned car on the road right now. Hugely popular - and I love that color theme on the unit you guys got to test out. Great video!

    I'm glad to hear someone talk about the car as though they know what to expect and not complain. So many reviewers chime in with the, "...The trunk is so small, yer not going to be packing for three weeks in there!" Duh.... Anyway, nice job on the review albeit a bit biased! Haha... I am biased towards the thing, too!

    i have a 1996 NA and after being in a friends 2016 i cant tell you its like any other miata but with today's technology. it handles great, its lovely to drive, and best of all they did away with the ugly look of the NC and went for a mean and aggressive look that still looks like a miata you look at it and you dont think whats that? you just know. mazda did good on this one for sure.

    He reckons he'd take this over a Vantage? Riiiiiiiiiight........

    • @MrSlowestD16
      @MrSlowestD16 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Huxxy Well it depends on the purpose. If you live out the middle of nowhere and there's never any traffic, you never go into the city, or you live next to a race track, obviously you're going to prefer the vantage.
      ...but the type of driving 90% of people do, the Miata is MUCH better.. You ever drive a super car on the street? If you ever get a chance, when you're done ogling the fact that you're actually driving one, look around you - you can't see shit, ride is harsh, turning radius blows, you miss simple shit like cup holders, and you scrape on EVERYTHING. They're quite miserable to do anything except track race in.
      So yea, unless he lives on a race circuit, it's easy to see why he'd prefer this over the Vantage.

    • @huss03
      @huss03 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrSlowestD16 I'm pretty sure you haven't driven a Vantage. I've driven a Miata...and I've driven a Vantage...On suburban and city streets. You can have the Miata...

    • @MrSlowestD16
      @MrSlowestD16 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Huxxy To answer your comment which is not showing up right now (maybe it's deleted?): "I'm pretty sure you haven't driven a Vantage. I've driven a Miata...and a Vantage...Both...On suburban and city streets. You can have the Miata..."
      While I haven't driven the Vantage, I've driven other high priced 'super' cars, and they're all pretty much horrific to drive around a town. Perhaps among all the super cars, the Ferraris and Lambos and AM's and that 90% of them are miserable to drive off track, the Vantage is a big exception and a terrific commuter...but my guess is it's not...
      Besides, the Miata will run 200k w/o a problem, the AM won't even come close. The choice is obvious for 99% of people...even if they think it's not. As I said, unless you live right next to a race track and actively go every weekend, or you live on these beautiful empty roads that you find in North UK and shit, it's a shit car to drive daily. I'd take the miata in a heart beat. It's a way more functional car for every other aspect of life outside of the track...and since I don't trailer my cars to events, that's what is important to me (and would be important to most).

    I drive the 2.0 sport. Great if where you drive has well surfaced roads but if you live in England, it's twitchy due to over damped suspension.

    Yeah, its small alright; its a 'SKATEBOARD' of a car.
    The Mazda3 comes with either a 2.0 L engine or the larger 2.5 L engine. Same for the CX-5. I think that the larger 2.5 L engine should have been put into the MX-5, that would have given it much better performance as a sports car.

    The statement that you don't get a lot of road noise in the MX 5 is simply not true. My wife has got one, and already at 120 kilometers per hour on the Autobahn, it's annoying. To be fair, this is a car for curvy backroads and not for highways, but still, it is not a quiet car. At lower speeds, it is even louder with the top up than driving open. If the top is up, the sounds and wind get caught in a hollow space behind the seats, which always sounds like there is a whole behind you in the rear window.
    So, it IS not a comfortable car to drive at higher speeds. But it's not made for that. It's a fun car to take out and find a twisty road. And at that, I pretty much assure you, it is practically unbeatable. Especially at that price.

    OK, he is such a nice mid west boy I hate to slam his video. But…. He didn't take it to redline once, and never actually went around any curves to show the handling. Oh, my bad, no curvy roads in MN, right? Please include a little action for the audience that is most likely to buy this car. Thanks.

    saw the distance between the tire and the fender seems 4x4 , you need at least 2 inches lower to make it look better, 155 hp is an insult , minimum 200 hp or turbo with 300 hp , now without the option of a hard top , it IS BETTER the previous model , and insist seems 4x4 is too high and is seen ugly, better 2000 dollars more but with all of the above

    Weak ass. I plan on getting the 2016 camaro v6 with 335hp and 285lbs of torque of
    manly exhaust, size and 50/50 weight and 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds... for $29k plus I
    can get a sunroof for $900 more.

    • @A_Gray
      @A_Gray 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mrpmj00 that cool. and a nice car to boot. however i cant tell you this. you will win strait line no question, it wont even be close. however in the corners? thats a different question. the car you just said weighs over half a ton more. ya you have more power and even with the 2016 being a hell of a lot better handling wise than previous models you still have a ton more weight to move. yes the miata in a strait line would be dead but in corners miata would win. i have gone up against audi's and other quite quick cars that dont even come close to my 96 in the corners. that being said dont get me wrong i love big muscle cars but thats not what this car is or trying to be. mazda made this car to be a throw back to the old britsh sport cars, but actually reliable.

    • @mrpmj00
      @mrpmj00 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would only get the Miata if I only drove it on the track's curvy roads and where there's no big trucks/SUVs to crush me. On my commute to work, however, it's a straight line among big SUVs/trucks so I would choose the Camaro.

    • @Lee-70ish
      @Lee-70ish 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree 50/50 weight 1 ton either end, finesse in engineering is not exactly a US car manufactures forte . if you don't understand the concept of light weight roadster driving its best you stick to a schmuck truck, are you going to have an auto box and ten cup holders?
