- while thinking of somewhere close to visit near Buenos Aires, so i can focus on recording my album, i asked ChatGPT to lead me somewhere interesting. it suggested San Antonio de Areco, the infamous town of gauchos, which is an Argentinian cowboy. this inspired me to become one: outfit, horse riding and all. and so my mission began. would i be successful? there was only way to know. so let’s go & see what happens 🤠
stay with Cato and his wife, Miriam:

You should deffinitely return! Next time you go they'll probably make an asado for you, since they know you're coming over.
they’re so sweet 😭
“es un pueblo muy… muy piola” JAJAJAJAJ the way I cracked up after hearing that makes no sense. Don’t mind me, your Spanish is really good! There are other people who literally can’t say more than two words coherently and have been here way longer than you
HAHAHAHA. sometimes i confuse myself as the words are coming out of my mouth 🤠
We are very "strap laze" People! jajajajaj
And as a statement of that fact, I leave you with "The Strap-Laze´s"(los piola vago) or "It´s all strap-laze, coss...!"(´ta tooo piola wacho...!) (depending on the mood of the saturday afternoon)

very good brother, as an argentinian im very impressed you did something unique like visiting and "trying" the gaucho culture when many youtubers just go around big cities or just try food. also very good and high quality video, keep it up!
thank you 😭 that means a lot!! 🤠🎈
JAJAJAJA ME ENCANTA QUE EL AGUATERO SE LLAMA CACHO ENCIMA
@@LukarioSouls 🎈🎈🎈
Haha, you kept saying "guacho". That was funny. That's another word. The word you want is "gaucho". "Au", not "ua".
A "guacho" is someone who's lost one of both parents, although nowadays it's someone who can be a bit chaotic and evil, but not like seriously evil.
Looks like you still had a nice stay! Do you have more travels planned?
OMG HAHAHAHA. noted. that’s funny. yes, plenty more travels ahead!! i’m particularly excited for next week. wbu?
Lol good point He is adorable
alto wachin
Tall little boy without parents
The man singing is called Oscar Pereyra. A very famous gaucho down in San Antonio de Areco. I met him some years ago and I'm still surprised to find him in instagram pages or in TH-cam. I hope you get the chance to ride some day, it is an unforgettable experience.
@@user-or5kd7lm2d amazing!! i would love to come back and try again in my attempt in becoming a gaucho
I'm so proud. I'm argentinian and recently I became really interested in the culture of our beloved gauchos. There is a lot of history in this lands. Makes me happy to see someone from other countrie also getting interested in this beautiful people. I hope it helps you get inspired with your music
thank u!! i’m certainly feeling inspired here 🕺🏽
it's so brave of you to go to an unknown place like that!
hahahahhasahdh. well, i love the feeling of going on an adventure. it inspires me endlessly 🌎
thank you for coming and taking an interest in learning and sharing our rich history! i love how you try to implement more Lunfardo (argentinian slang) to your spanish vocabulary.
i love using slang from different countries! sometimes we fail miserably with language learning, like i have hahahha, but that's all a part of the process 🤠
this video was so cool. and you where so polite and respectful. you should definitely come back. In argentina, when someone tells you to come visit them again, they actually mean it.
Exactly. We don't say that just out of politeness.
i would love it!! 🇦🇷
@@madelakii felt it in the way he asked me to come again 🕺🏽
You nailed it when you said 'Este pueblo es muy… muy piola.' You sounded just like a native Argentine!
@@juancampos352 hahaha

@@Andreico650 hahahahdhysd. he’s so kind 😭
@@xacprovost I don't know why but here when people come to home we need put a lot of food in their mouth. In other places people may offer a cup of tea or coffee, something rational but in Arg we treat people like they came from war. Welcome and don't forget to EAT!🤣
hi, nice video. It's good to see that you went to see the daily life of men outside the city. The city of Buenos Aires is beautiful but that's not all it has to offer. I live in Mar del Plata which is a coastal city 400 km from Buenos Aires. If you come to visit you will have a good time since it is a city with a beach and suburbs. Greetings.
yes, to me, traveling is all about going to those lesser known areas 🕺🏽

@@agme8045his genuine spirit made me less hesitant haha
Im so jealous😢...I wanna be in Argentina too. Iast time I was there was in 2002!😳 Have fun 😭
come back!! i love exploring lesser known areas to international tourists, like san antonio de areco. it makes traveling way more interesting 🕺🏽
LOVE ARECO!!! visited twice, its a lovely rural town with an old time feel. The Gaucho Museum is great, its the former house of autor Ricardo Güiraldes who wrote a famous novel about a gaucho "Don Segundo Sombra " inspired by a old gaucho from Areco.
Also gauchos have a famous way of improvised singing battle called payada (similar to rap battles but with guitar). The gauchos you met at the beginning of the video were payadores (payada improvisers), they were playing the payada base in their guitar! ❤❤❤
@@razzmatazz1974what a fun fact. rap battles, but gaucho style hahahaha
@@xacprovostit's called "payadas" when 2 gauchos gather to sing, and one of them sings about a subject waiting the other to give an opinion about it.
I congratulate you for going on such an adventure !
thank you!! it was totally worth it 🇦🇷
what a great nation. greeting from argentina
it’s nice! 🎈
During the video you kept saying "guacho" instead o- i'm just kidding everyone pointed it out already lol
Seems like you had a good time, glad you enjoyed the outdoors and decided to go to smaller cities/towns when coming over here.
Cool video, the algorithm helped this time :)
@@juanlauria9559 haha. thanks!! can’t wait to explore more 🕺🏽
This was a great experience! I'm glad that you took some time to record all of this. I hope you can visit to Córdoba one day, if you ever return to Argentina.
Cheers from Argentina, and best of success in your album :D

Hey! If you're in Argentina, you should definitely visit Mar del Plata. I can be your guide here! You'll find beautiful beaches, great seafood, and an awesome nightlife. It's the perfect mix of relaxation and fun!
amazing!! i’ll let you know 🕺🏽
hey man, you should reach Tanner from the "Economic Front" youtube channel. He is also from the USA, he and his family came to buenos aires to live. it would be so cool to see both of you in a video!!
i’ll look into it!!

thanks for watching!! and that’s awesome! sometimes i think usa / british culture has too heavy a hand in other parts of the world, but i love the music hahahah
be carefull on how you say GAUCHO (COWBOY) IS NO THE SAME AS GUACHO (WHO IS THE NOT POLITE FORM OF REFFERING A KID THATS HAS NO PARENTS, MATHER, FATHER OR BOTH) guacho IS NOT A POLITE WORD, YOU CAN USE IT WITH YOUR CLOSER FRIENDS, BUT NOT WITH IN A SOCIAL SITUACIÓN. IS NOT KIND TO SAY SOMEONE THAT. (LIKE A MILD CURSE/JEER)

if you want to visit a city kinda different from Buenos Aires, you can come to La Plata. is known as the universitary city since a lot of universities of different careers are here, also has a lot of different cultural stuff like the Natural Science Museum, the Cathedral in Moreno's Plaza, a lot of green places and more (although right now the plazas are in maintenance). the football rivalries here are as known as River vs Boca in Buenos Aires. Also, the city is kinda unique since it has the streets marked with numbers instead of names, has diagonals and is built like a square. you can visit the Pasaje Dardo Rocha, a big building which has different activities and usually present exhibitions of several things. while the city is crowded (and they don't drive very well), i would say it's at least calmer than Buenos Aires.
interesting!! i’ll keep it on the list, and thank you 🎈
Épico!!!
hahaha. it was a fun adventure
7:07 Every time you try to say gaucho, it sounds like you are saying “guacho”, which means something different lol
It means something like “bastard”, so it sounds like you want to dress as a bastard lol
yes, the trials of language learning hahahaha
Awesome video!
thanks 💕
Great video man! i hope you can come back
thanks! i would love to!! 🎈
hahaha. so friendly 🎈
Gauchos got nothing to do with the cowboys. Their origin, style, music and history are really differente, the only resemblance is that both guard cows in big spaces and are good as horse riders.
sin dudo, hay diferencias! 🤠
Grande, pibe.

You should go to El Cuartito, or even better Banchero, best pizza places on Buenos Aires.

hahahahaha
Man please u must to say Gauchos not “Guachos” 😅.
“Guachos” in the gaucho slang means “Bastard” (A person who don’t know who is his father)
i know lmao. language learning is a lot like a rollercoaster - some moments are up, and some are down. eventually, i’ll be fluent and these nuances will be easier to catch in the moment 🕺🏽
GAUCHO ISN´T THE SAME AS GUACHO. GUACHO MEANS SOMETHING LIKE "BASTARD" but it´s used usually in a jokeful manner🤣🤣🤣
i’m aware HAHAHAH. thanks!! isn’t it funny that a one letter difference does this? 🤯
Hello i see that you are in argentina and i would like to extend a warm invitation to you to visit Cordoba, Cordoba its located at the center of the country. I suggest you come around October/November as the weather is nice and warm around that time (usually 25 to 30 degrees celcious). Here i will show all around and take you to the places where i like to eat at, and obviously i wont charge you a penny for showing you around. In exchange i get to practice my english and hear cool stories, we'll eat the best meat in the world and see all around here. As you can see language will not pose any problem as i am 100% fluent in english and of course you can ask me how, whatever word that comes to your mind is pronounced, in spanish. So i hope you are enjoying your stay here in Argentina and look forward to seeing you here in Cordoba. Warm regards, Axel
that is super kind of you! i’ll let you know. right now, i’m organizing my things to find cool stories to share. and i will be leaving at the end of september to continue my journey throughout latin america ✈️
