I can relate so much. Starting at 18:00 , he talks about collecting retro video games and watching WKUK growing up. So dope to see someone mention WKUK. That's literally my childhood!
I agree with the beauty behind people in need not for the struggle or money coming from it but think back to all them books about history showing army men carrying other injured men to safety, or the photos of evacuees getting on a train leaving loved ones behind but to go to be free of the war, with homeless it is the beauty of even in the worst they manage to keep pushing through day by day fighting to survive and it is beautiful moments to capture for history purposes to show the future the times we live in today.
i normally would not take photos of people in need, but one day in DTLA this man asked me to actually take his photo and i did, ended up being one of my favorite photos.
Some good shooters on the walkie talkie but I think yours were damn good in comparison. Energetic and a keen eye very cool work, dig it, look forward to seeing more!
This video was a much better insight into your life. I’m sorry to hear about what you been through. Stay strong bro 💪 I’m gonna buy you a cold one when I visit!
Dude, I have to admit- it’s been a hot minute since I did street photography, especially in 35mm format, and I was incredibly inspired by this video and your Walkie Talkie vid. Gonna hit the streets again with some film here soon 🔥
Think I'm from your hometown, had a friend who said he had a buddy that went to school with you, and was so shocked to here you were from around this area. It was awesome to hear! Hope to follow a similar path and get some photos up in NYC one day Keep being awesome
You’re attitude is pretty free, kinda brave but mostly just emotionally in touch. You are right 99/100 to take the picture. The use of photos is another thing, more complicated, more bullshit, but I believe making and selecting/exhibiting/publishing are separate practices.
This is such a great video. Really love how you are level on the things that matter, I’d def grab you a beer if I’m in NY some day. Keep inspiring us Trevor.
You can't ask a person for a photo, get pernission and expect authenticity in frame. Better to beg for fogiveness than ask for permission. Take the shots. All of them.
When he took the photo of the street guitarist guy I wonder if he’s thinking he’s the 9th street photographer to take his photo that day… (if that makes sense) Also… any monies from those types of photos.. do they street photographers break them off with money??
As I a rule I don’t personally take photos of homeless people generally because I think it could be exploitive but also it’s to easy. I tried to avoid women in active wear and kids as well, sometimes that shots just too interesting though.
I think if you're talking to homeless people, not just using them as props in your art but treating them as people and interacting with them as individuals, then it's fine to take photos of homeless people. However I avoid taking photos and running. I don't think that's OK. You need to respect them as people.
Because I was being myself but I was acting more because a camera was on me for 6 hours this day I was in my neighborhood and more relaxed because I wasn’t in midtown until later

“ITS WALKIE TALKIE TIME”
Great personality and talent. Keep grinding. One question, you talked about money being tight so how did you get a Leica M6 + lens?
Some good shooters on the walkie talkie but I think yours were damn good in comparison. Energetic and a keen eye very cool work, dig it, look forward to seeing more!

Thanks for the shout out.
❤️
Not even once he reached for his Leica. All the time shooting with "good and cheap" point and shoot. :D
Maaan, 13:28 this the most honest reaction after almost having a heart-attack from this dead rat haha
fantastic shit man, your story makes me feel a little less hopeless about my own journey with photography.
I hope I run into you while shooting one day! You're a lovely person and great photographer
Good thank you
Hey thanks a lot you're such a model in photography and as a person to me bro
My pleasure 😊
9:03 clean ass dap up
What a guy man. I also fuckin knew it would be Egon Schiele. You're a legend.
I’m not sure if that’s true takes a long time
When he took the photo of the street guitarist guy I wonder if he’s thinking he’s the 9th street photographer to take his photo that day… (if that makes sense) Also… any monies from those types of photos.. do they street photographers break them off with money??
meow :) trevor is so cool. probably my favorite photographer! i hope things are good :)
Us too!
Alwasys with a can of beer - guy is my hero lol 👊
Loving your videos ...
Good thank you
Loved this vid man! Keep up the great work! Hope to shoot with you one day 🤘🏼
came from the walkie talkie, love the vids mane
Semi-serious question: why put a greasy hamburger on top of that beautiful Leica?
I loved this Trev!
Do you practice any other type of photography aside from street photography?
Life photography
@@trevorwisecup 😂😂okay you're right
Shoutout to Schiele and the Vienna Secession massif ❤
Love ur attitude
Don't stop do a lot of this videos Trevor!
Why was the interview with the Trevors deleted?
Kickass video, inspired rn.
This needs to be a regular weekly series! Any chance?
Ask Matt Herzog
Trevor, I'm curious what watch are you wearing? It seems to be your constant in video's I've seen you in and I'm curious if there's a story behind it.
so the walkie talkie was you playing a character? or just being high energy and exaggerated
High
@@trevorwisecupso you were on drugs back then?
I'd love to meet you one day
good
I love you bro.
I have those Shattered Backboard J's

Bro, at least give money to the busker
Did you work at Trader Joe’s??
why'd you say you were acting in walkie talkie? just curious
Cuz
Because I was being myself but I was acting more because a camera was on me for 6 hours this day I was in my neighborhood and more relaxed because I wasn’t in midtown until later
Nice
So nice
My left ear enjoyed this
yoo dude love the work but the audio is off
I know, I didn’t record this, my friend who filmed me just sent me this one version that I uploaded
Good
So nice
Trevor! Your cool
You too
👍👍👍
amazing what buying a camera for the hell of it and searching "how to use a camera" can do for you
sometimes yt algorithm gets it right
good stuff
Very good
Egon Cholakian here
love the video :D
A day with who?
real as fuck
I guess I’m not understanding the “acting” bit? Was that not real? Are you throwing shade at Walkie Talkie? Just…confusing is all.
No of course it was real and genuine I just played my personality up a little bit, tends to happen when I’m shooting and in Manhattan
...should have given the guitar guy a dime though
You're the fuckin man
11:13 what theee heeeeeeck you cant say thaaaat

What’s your biggest fear.
Sex
hey 💛
11:33 wow this is getting out of hand
Maybe so maybe not
Hey Trevor, reality is a convention :|
i loved the video but idk why there's only the left audio channel working
Because the spectrum
Drink, vape, drink, smoke, shoot. Bad-ass. Real.
Preferred this video - would way rather see genuine than acting
trevor wisecup is your last name real????
Yes very authentic
this guy its a snobb
who?
Hey
