deep into São Paulo, Brazil's most chaotic city 🇧🇷
welcome to São Paulo, Brazil: a place that really isn't designed for tourism, but with tons of appeal amidst the chaos.
after 3 months of traveling in Argentina and working on my album, it was time to pack my bags and open a new chapter. and given that Brazil is a portuguese-speaking country, it only made sense to destroy months of practicing spanish to come here. so our adventure begins in Sao Paulo - a city that feels distinctly Brazilian, yet so much more than that at the same time. so let’s go & see what happens 🇧🇷

what would you do for 1 million dollars? well, as a musician and a vlogger, I can tell you that these are two obnoxious dreams with a low rate of success and a whole lot of luck needed. so i gave it all up in search of wealth in Colonia Del Sacramento in Uruguay, a small town with legends of shipwrecks and hidden treasures. so let’s go & see what happens 🚢

@@tomboiv1653 sounds like you don’t like bolivians lmao. your choice to be racist, i suppose. they live here, so they are a part of the entire culture that makes up buenos aires :)
@@xacprovost ???????????? Where in my post i said something racist? grow up dude. I love bolivia and bolivians. Ive traveled the country and met lots of ppl there. But i wouldnt go to Bolivia and experience Argentine culture there... that wouldnt be smart since its a reallly cool country if you get to know its culture. Your video title is 100% missleading. Also... please dont bring the "BS northern hemisphere racism" card to southamerica.
@@tomboiv1653 you’re the one who should grow up by feeling compelled to comment on my channel about a part that exists in buenos aires. lmao. get lost, dude. i mean it. block me. do whatever you want ✌🏻

Ah seems the Republica de los Niños received a coat of paint, looks nice :D I was there in the nineties as a kid and it was kinda creepy and run down haha XD
hahahah. it’s very well kept rn!
About the freemasons- they influenced every step of Argentina's and latinoamerica's independence wars from Spain, the most important leaders were or had ties to the freemasons too, but after kicking out the royalists they were unable to hold cohesion and the entire continent fell into petty civil and succession wars, to decide between federalism and centralism. During this time they lost much power as warlords took center stage, but they regained it as soon as states got properly established. (La Plata was made in 1887 as one of the most modern cities of its time, the first in america with a tram and electrical system. However it was way too huge and close to Buenos Aires so it was a ghost city for a few decades.) the making of La Plata holds many masonic symbolisms, such as the diagonal streets forming the masonic compass when seen from the blueprints, and many many buildings being made with their funding or architectonic guidance.
interesting!
As a porteño, I think becoming a gaucho is the dummest thing ever! =)

@@xacprovost "meter" o "meterle" in Argentina in this context is like...to really try to do sth; "meterle ganas", to really try. But in another context it can mean to hurry up: "vamos a meterle que es tarde" 😄

That is a neighborhood that has been occupied by illegal immigrants and many of them are involved with the mafias. It's a terrible place. If you like that type of culture I recommend visiting Bolivia.
@@lunebleue760 “that type of culture?” that’s called prejudice, my friend. not everyone from bolivia, peru, paraguay, etc. is bad. guess what? not everyone from argentina is good. same for the usa. same for everywhere. practice some nuance in your thinking, i think you’ll live a more fulfilling life that way. abrazo 💕🙏🏻
Saludos.
man, you just really don’t like bolivians hahaha. that’s racism through & through. go ahead & live that life, i guess. but it’s a sad way of thinking. please. don’t comment on my channel again, unless you have something nice to say. if it sounds like i’m talking to you like you’re a child, it’s because you’re acting like one. peace ✌🏻
Argentinian? That's not Argentine. It's like going to eat at a Turkish restaurant in Germany and saying "I'm eating something German." That is an immigrant neighborhood, it is not something typically Argentine.
@@lunebleue760 huh? i never said the bolivian and peruvian food is argentine. but these people live in buenos aires, so they’re local haha. abrazo 🙏🏻💕

Many of these songs are still sung around campfires, have been sung by generations - also mined for quotes, used as movie soundtracks, for media headlines, TV ads etc)

I´m a local, they´re not locals, never been there 🤔 hows a real local would show you something that doesn't belong to our culture ?? local neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires outside turist area doesn't look like that. I think you have a good idea what is that place, misleading title.
i think there’s a misunderstanding here. a local is someone who lives in the city. a person can still be a local, even if they don’t have as significant cultural ties to a country as a native. it’s like saying people in East LA (a mostly hispanic neighborhood in Los Angeles) aren’t local bc they’re hispanic. i’m sure you mean well, but that sentiment can come off a tad racist. not saying that’s what you mean by that. but yeah! in it’s simplest form, they live here, so they’re locals :)
@@zzureee agreed 100%. and i’ll add that diversity is a beautiful thing 🎈

@@xacprovost I was born and raised between japanese, spanish, italian, portuguese, polish, german, ukranian, argentine mixed natives etc. I live in culturally mixed enviroment and myself being fully mixed race dna and we all shared same neighborhoods so I know what diversity is. 😂
just a nitpick, but in Argentina you would call yourself "yankee" and not "gringo". "gringo" in argentina refers to someone with white skin, which you are, but many others in Argentina are as well. "yankee" is for someone from the US. just a little cultural info. really enjoyed the video. got major guts. hope you find all the inspiration u need for your music.
