Hey Randle, how are you? So proud. You’re one of my ‘brush with greatness’ stories. I saw a TH-cam of you gigging with Duke Levine. So fine. He was with Bonnie Raitt a few weeks ago when she played Kelowna. (Didn’t play Calling Elvis though). Cheers
th-cam.com/video/1yjRrA-n9R8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NO96ezjY9-uleLj6 Fantastic. I saw Albert Lee in August at the Hope Theatre in, of all places, Hope, BC. Had a crack line up and did a great show. Cheers.
Oh, that is quite an endorsement! Brad Paisley's crew are top flight musicians and gear heads too. They have enviable access to the best of the best amps and equipment. I myself am just a top-40 band guitarist, but a tone junkie too. My Quilter 101 through my Dr Z ZBEST 2x12 just sounds stellar. My pedals turn into part of the circuit and sound and feel so indistinguishable from top tier amps that I have sold my Dr Z and Divided By 13 amp heads. Plus I don't have to change tubes anymore. Plus they sound great at low volume and ear bleeding volumes.
Watchful One are you still happy with your beast? I am a devoted tube guy, and have owned state of the art tube amps, but I think I want a Quilter, but not sure I have the guts, cause I have to by it on line with out any testing :-)
Perfectly stated, particularly the part about pedals becoming part of the amp. Never thought i could leave Fender, Marshall and the others behind, but after 50 years of playing I did. Hassle free. Tons of power. Great tone controls that actually work, Perfect reverb....My 101 reverb may be the best piece of new gear I've ever owned(and that includes some pretty pricey stuff)
He's easily the best steel player that I've ever heard. He always blows me away at Brad's shows. And it's not even close.
Randall is a friend, and was a neighbor. He is the best steel guitarist I've ever heard bar none. Randall, Tim Says hey, and misses you and the fam

What model, please?
Hi Randle did you use a pre amp?
