I tried a used one the other day with a few different guitars, and I gotta say, it sounds absolutely fantastic. Put a overdrive pedal in front of it, and you're really cooking with fire
Fantastic! I use the MicroPro Mach 2, but I use mine not as a guitar amp but as a PA for my vocals with the mic line and reverb this actually is the best most portable little pa for my needs. For more perceived sound I did end up buying the ex cab which has come in very handy. Thank you quilter. If my guitar rig for some reason failed me I’d still have this as a guitar amp too, but again I love the mic line feature. The steelaire is a fantastic steel guitar amp and as shown here excellent featured filled for guitarist too
Great, smart, straightforward demo of a well-designed, great-sounding product. All the info you need to know (except mentioning the weight and power ratings!), and nothing you don't.
I imagine a high gain pedal with this amp would sound great. I have noticed the cleaner the amp the better the overdrive gain pedals or preamps will sound. I like the Cat 5 cable, the direct out features, plus the pedal power output. I am also very impressed with the quality of amp cover.
Quilter 8, 10, & 12 owners were , I assume, influenced to some extent by the small size & light weight of those tiny powerhouses, but MAN! : My Steelaire just arrived: It's TINY & LIGHT. How can I ever lift an 80Lb Mesa again? Even a 50Lb Peavy Special130 seems like a ton compared to this 35Lb wonder. I'm astounded at what 15 lbs less feels like.
I think I've just decided what to spend my tax return on - Steelaire Combo. I have a Fender Jazz King with a 15" speaker and love it, also have a Micropro 200 and love it. A 15" inch speakers give you so much presence it incredible. The only thing I will miss that the Jazz King has is the reverb crashing sound when bumped. Maybe the future Steelaire will have an analog Reverb Crash simulator. Headed for the Quilter shopping cart.
@@Brannington it should handle them just fine if you tweak them properly. I tried a DS1 style distortion and managed to get some good sounds out of it. The amp has 2 mid controls, gotta take advantage of them

Love the idea, I use the fender twin "custom 15"but the reverb on mine is "meh"
Cant wait to try one.
This is an insanely good amp.
Sounds great clean - can we get a OD demo?
All in good time. It is an epic adventure even to get one video done. =)
No doubt. I've been playing the MicroPro since 2012, and that's been an epic adventure in and of itself. Keep up the good work!
Maybe OD and that speaker are not a good match??
08:15 Surely you're not suggesting sneaking into the venue's office and ripping off a cable from the desktop PC, are you? :))
Great demo.
+Aryno Wyrth LOL... Of course not! Just "borrowing" it.
Would like to hear a high gain dirt pedal in front of it. I play both blues and rock.
Mine doesn’t seem to have foot switchable channels.
Best sounding cleans I've heard from a solid-state amp. Does this amp sound significantly different from the Aviator?
Yes. That neo speaker is just huge and full bodied with sizzle on the top end. It is a gorgeous clean unlike anything else.
Christopher Parks I hope a UK dealer is arranged soon.....love the fact that ou have low and high-mid controls on it. That should be on all amps.
There is no doubt...I want this amp!
How will it sound with a overdrive or distortion pedal in front of it ?
I have a steelaire and run pedals through it. I can assure you that it sounds incredible with pedals.
@@dannyllerenatv8635 you got a rat? im curious about how that and a steely would sound but im poor

Hi Quilter. Can this amp be used to amplify an acoustic guitar (western)
Gos wo absolutely!
The clean on this amp sounds pretty much Blackface Fender to my ears. The 35 pound weight is very tempting....
Great demo--Thank you Pete Townshend!
Why is the demonstration of a Pedal Steel Guitar amp done with a Tele instead of a Pedal Steel guitar? (I own a Steelaire rack model).
So thats what you look like
Too much talking.
I'm sure large percent of the audience are unfamiliar with the limiter yet that's the one you skipped on the demo - smh
4:32 is the limiter demo
