Thank you for these videos man! Definitely helping me out greatly, though I still can't quite match the fastest lap times. Last week at Twin Ring I was getting consistent top 5's without qualifying by driving my line and using your setup techniques. I could really tell a difference as I slowly started reeling the other cars in as the race progressed.
I have had the worst time in iracing the last two days. I started iracing maybe 3 weeks ago and im at c license in oval. I started trucks at dega 2 days ago and it has been an utter shitshow. out of the 15 races ive done so far, ive gotten at least a 4x and the highest i got was a 12x. My irating has gone down more then 200 points and my sr from 3.6 to 2.5. I have no intention of wrecking people, I just want to get better and start driving the cars that I know I want to drive (cup cars). This week has been so demotivating to even continue iracing all together. I'm sorry I just had to rant about this.
Don't worry man, Dega has always been just an irating casino where you have to spend SR to partake. Just try to enjoy the races themselves. You'll be getting back the SR next week for sure
Run NIS tomorrow at 10 am est, it only requires C class and even if you get wrecked if you get back out there it’ll gain you something I think, I remember doing Bristol in that series 2 years ago and finished P6 and got like a 16x but still gained nearly 1.0 SR, as for Talladega I did one truck and one xfinity and got a P6 and a win, and then I quit doing it for the week, I’d recommend just taking a break from dega and save as much sr as you can
This helps me with my league race on friday, my league races ARCA at wilkesboro and my problem was i was trying to find consistency and was shifting about a quarter thru 1 and 3, which helped a little so i could power down on exit. Quickest i ran was 19.3. But i'm running 19.6 over a run consistently.
Thank you for such a detailed video on how to improve!

No problem! Definitely is not an easy track this week. Good job with the long run pace last week!

I just want to mention, you sound hilarious at half speed as I'm trying to watch your throttle inputs and braking points.
Probably sounds like me after my lightweight ass has 2 beers
