You guys had a blog post that oatmeal is bad for breakfast because it is low in protein and we need 20-30 g of protein for breakfast. I'm now having a ton of fear and anxiety over breakfast and feeling that I can't eat anything except yogurt or eggs. Can you please clarify? Is it that bad to eat cereal or oatmeal for breakfast sometimes??
Oh no that's not at all how that was intended! What we meant is JUST oatmeal (i.e. a packet or something made with water) only has a very small amount of protein. So it's best in those instances to have the oatmeal but also add milk, peanut butter, nuts and maybe even yogurt on the side in order to get in a more substantial amount of protein with your oatmeal! You can absolutely eat oatmeal, you just need to add more things to it to get more protein out of the meal :)

I’ve been eating oatmeal for years ( and I’m still alive). For extra protein add protein powder or an egg.
