I’ve played these games for decades and it’s hitting me that DCK3 is the only time that K Rool has actual dialogue and it’s kinda weirding me out now. Homie didn’t need to talk in the first two, he was just there to fuck shit up.
DKC3's final world also doesn't feel appropriately dangerous, it looks as relaxing as the other worlds, with only the lab signifying any sense of danger on the world map. Couple that with K Rool's Saturday morning cartoon villain speech, it feels a lot more laid back as a finale than the prior games.
when I was a kid the dkc3 thing tricked me but I wasn't paying attention to the story at all and I did enjoy the comedy of it but looking back yeah, could of been implemented a lot better and I saw kaos as a 'normal' but weird boss (especially since he is pretty easy)
