It's not really a big deal. Besides, Luigi almost always appears with Mario. Daisy got it worse. I'm mad Daisy is under Peach's shadow and is the miserable number 2. If there's anyone to feel bad for being under one's shadow, it's Daisy.

Fox's sounded badarse, Wolf's voice was actually intimidating and not croaky and hoarse sounding like now, Ness had a more deeper voice and wasn't high pitched like now, and Sonic's voice was more cool and actually had a lot of spunk and personality to it, his newer voice makes him seem laid-back and cuter now.

I feel like if this game didn’t involve the tripping mechanic and the controls didn’t feel so heavy compared to Ultimate, it would have been a much more competitive game, either than that it’s underrated as hell and still such a well balanced game in my eyes.
I really enjoyed many of Brawl's final smashes better because many of them were up to the player's skills rather than just aiming once and letting the cut scene do the rest of the job
@Normal Johan It was annoying when I was the one to deal with it, so was Pit's *(Patrick, Come Down!)* but looking at the new ones kind of made me miss their old ones. It could just be the nostalgia. The new Final Smashes look much more brutal. Brawl might have been trying to go for a more realistic look, but the Final Smashes were still as wacky and cartoonish as ever which I liked. Now Dedede is slamming your head in with his hammer after trapping you against a metallic fence, Kirby uses a gigantic sword to slash you instead of cooking, Yoshi tramples you alive instead of sprouting wings, etc.

I remember back 7 years seeing Luigi’s final smash and thinking nothing much about it, but I now know the sad meaning of it. Also, if it weren’t for Brawl, I probably wouldn’t be interested in Smash. It also shaped the beginning of a path to making me feel like I was Luigi Edit: This was also what got me into Meta Knight. When I used his Final smash and heard the “Know My Power!” I knew something cool was happening. The slash hit, and thus began my liking for MK.
Man these were so cool and unique. I was extremely excited to play ultimate, to see what each new character's final smash would be and how they revamped the old ones. Instead they basically all do the same thing. These abilities helped define each character, even if they were completely worthless from a gameplay perspective. Now theres basically no excitement from seeing a smash ball appear.
It was better on zelda, thats zeldas signature weapon. She used in the final boss of windwaker, twighlight princess, and spirit tracks and even when she doesn’t use it she’s always the one that goves it to link
This game looked so awesome to me growing up. I love the semi-gritty cartoonish combination in video games. This and killer instinct sell it well for me.
As much as I love ultimate their final smashes can’t compare to these. I hate how they made the ones you used to be able to control now just faster and you don’t really get to enjoy them that much anymore
Some of these final smashes were very different than the ones we have in Ultimate. It’s crazy how they changed so much. For example: In Brawl, Kirby’s final smash was him making some sort of soup or meal out of the characters and then releasing them out of the pot. And then from 3DS/Wii U to Ultimate, it’s him pulling out a sword and slashing you a couple of times and then the sword increases a size bigger than him and then he just ends you off with a finishing sword slash
Super Smash Bros. Brawl was the first-ever Smash game I played back in September of 2011 when I was 5 years old & a month into the first semester of my kindergarten year! I was 2 years old when this game released in North America!
The final smashes in brawl are so much more interesting compared to ultimate. There was so much variety and now almost every single smash is a static hitbox in front of a character that deals damage.
I think we forget just how Epic final smashes were. Being a veteran Smasher, I remember coming to Brawl after 3 or 4 years of Melee and really loving the ins and outs of the series. Then the very first time seeing Brawl's trailer. Seeing final smashes become a mainstay in the series since then. Truly an amazing series..sort of a bittersweet ending with Ultimate cause I always want a new smash game with new exciting additions like Final Smash but I think we can rest assured the game is perfected and it's time to let Sakurai rest
I never understood why they made Final Smashes like Ultra moves in fighting games. They were clearly a casual thing to use compared to fighting games making integral use of ultra moves by sharing a meter for EX special moves with it. Making people be resourceful on how they will use their meter. Idk if it was an attempt to make final smashes be a part of the competitive scene because if it was, then i backfired

Brawl had the best soundtracks for everything and you cannot convince me otherwise.
I really enjoyed many of Brawl's final smashes better because many of them were up to the player's skills rather than just aiming once and letting the cut scene do the rest of the job

@Normal Johan It was annoying when I was the one to deal with it, so was Pit's *(Patrick, Come Down!)* but looking at the new ones kind of made me miss their old ones. It could just be the nostalgia. The new Final Smashes look much more brutal. Brawl might have been trying to go for a more realistic look, but the Final Smashes were still as wacky and cartoonish as ever which I liked. Now Dedede is slamming your head in with his hammer after trapping you against a metallic fence, Kirby uses a gigantic sword to slash you instead of cooking, Yoshi tramples you alive instead of sprouting wings, etc.

@@pmxsquaud1926 Wario's was pretty hilarious, but I think I prefer his newer one. And as strange as Luigi's Negative Zone was, that was pretty funny. I think the poltergeist one makes more sense though. Luigi's personalitg is already pretty bizarre in Smash and the Negative Zone further pushed it.

I remember back 7 years seeing Luigi’s final smash and thinking nothing much about it, but I now know the sad meaning of it. Also, if it weren’t for Brawl, I probably wouldn’t be interested in Smash. It also shaped the beginning of a path to making me feel like I was Luigi
Edit: This was also what got me into Meta Knight. When I used his Final smash and heard the “Know My Power!” I knew something cool was happening. The slash hit, and thus began my liking for MK.

Man these were so cool and unique. I was extremely excited to play ultimate, to see what each new character's final smash would be and how they revamped the old ones. Instead they basically all do the same thing. These abilities helped define each character, even if they were completely worthless from a gameplay perspective. Now theres basically no excitement from seeing a smash ball appear.

Some of these final smashes were very different than the ones we have in Ultimate. It’s crazy how they changed so much. For example: In Brawl, Kirby’s final smash was him making some sort of soup or meal out of the characters and then releasing them out of the pot. And then from 3DS/Wii U to Ultimate, it’s him pulling out a sword and slashing you a couple of times and then the sword increases a size bigger than him and then he just ends you off with a finishing sword slash

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was the first-ever Smash game I played back in September of 2011 when I was 5 years old & a month into the first semester of my kindergarten year! I was 2 years old when this game released in North America!
the final smashes were so peak in this game, maintaining control is way more fun than the new cutscene ones
The final smashes in brawl are so much more interesting compared to ultimate. There was so much variety and now almost every single smash is a static hitbox in front of a character that deals damage.

I think we forget just how Epic final smashes were. Being a veteran Smasher, I remember coming to Brawl after 3 or 4 years of Melee and really loving the ins and outs of the series. Then the very first time seeing Brawl's trailer. Seeing final smashes become a mainstay in the series since then. Truly an amazing series..sort of a bittersweet ending with Ultimate cause I always want a new smash game with new exciting additions like Final Smash but I think we can rest assured the game is perfected and it's time to let Sakurai rest

Back when Final Smashes had personality and weren't just "Slide Across Screen", "Hit fast", "Laser" or "Hit Fast 2, Special Zone addition".
I never understood why they made Final Smashes like Ultra moves in fighting games. They were clearly a casual thing to use compared to fighting games making integral use of ultra moves by sharing a meter for EX special moves with it. Making people be resourceful on how they will use their meter. Idk if it was an attempt to make final smashes be a part of the competitive scene because if it was, then i backfired
