Most of the parents in Paramaribo, ignore traffic laws with their children and many of these twits are civil servants. This freewheeling phenomenon of callous city slickers, leads to the freewheeling federal family phenomenon. This nightmare can be ended swiftly by public dialogue about traffic law and civic responsibility. Due to the lack of conscientious civil servants, all capitals suffer from lawless streets. Imagine, law-abiding streets, adults and communities in Paramaribo! Imagine!!
Depends... near city land is pretty expensive (for local terms) further away cheaper. If you are a company with big plans you can also get free land from the government... Usually real estate and land transactions are done in USD/EUR not in local currency, so depending on the exchange it can make a huge difference.
Suriname really resembles Russia. Except for the climate and more European-like buildings.. The roads look almost exactly the same and they also suck :D And there is also a lot of Japanese right-handed cars. Thanks for sharing this :)
And does it make sense to you that they drive on the left side of the street that why the driver seat is in the right side of the car so that they have a better look if someone passes by you
Hello. I'm from Kenya, East Africa. I reside in the USA. I'm very much interested in having a home there one day. I want to start by visiting. I don't speak Dutch. Will communication be a challenge? What are the visa regulations? What's the political atmosphere? Security? I know you were there only five days.
I had no problem with using English. Most people can speak English. But there are a lot of Brazilians there that can't speak English. My neighborhood seemed a little scary, but I didn't have any problems. The area along the river is very nice though.
Communication will not be that much of a deal. Just do some online research about all your questions. And depends on where you live most parts of town are save. Some are not.
Am also Kenyan, will be travelling to George Town Guyana and also to Paramaribo in Suriname, and if time permits to cayenne in french Guiana in April 2018,
It's way better than Guyana. I just started watching videos from a guy in Guyana and he is always putting down Guyana, and he says Suriname is better. I think his channel is something like. The Real Guyana.

Nice place to be 👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
As an American can you just go live there indefinitely? Do you need to have a certain amount of money in your bank or make any investment?
Very nice video. I have a question. Do you know how much cost one small farm in Suriname? (like 200acre) Thanks.
I was there only 5 days. I have no idea on that sort of thing.
I can say I really like that place and will go back again for sure.
