I really like your bottle haul videos. Easy to see the bottles, easy to see the prices, move at a nice speed and like to hear your comments on unusually good prices or finds. Keep up the good work. Definitely going to hit Woodman's in WI or IL when I get that way. Wish there was one in IA.
Thank you for the continued support, feedback, and very kind words. If you ever come out this way, reach out with your bottle wish list and we'll point you in the right direction.
Great video. This is my Woodman's and their prices are spectacular. Can get a couple bottles cheaper at Costco but the choices at Woodman's are much better. BTW, you were in North Aurora, IL, not Aurora, IL. Small but important distinction. Cheers!
I live 10 miles from the Woodman’s in Rockford, IL and I stop in at least 3 times per week to see what they put out. The other 2 favorite Woodman’s I hit on a weekly basis are the one you are showing in Aurora and one in Carpentersville. They get Joseph Magnus Blend Cigar Blend every once in a while. 🥃
Same! I live near the Rockford location but I drove an hour and a half to pick up the Blanton's gold and ETL from this location when they put it out! But I missed a Lot B and old rip 10 from this location when I went.😢
The Journeyman Corsets, Whips, and Whiskey was a great pickup for me this year. Love the proof point and the 100% wheat mash bill. The Barrel Mizunara is a must buy IMO as well.
We love the Journeyman CWW! We have one at home still, otherwise we definitely would have scooped it up. We're definitely interested in the Mizunara bottle, but always have a hard time saying yes to Barrell. They're usually good stuff, but something always catches our eye first.
Was at a Woodmans yesterday in Lakewood. Got the Kentucky Spirit and the Old Forester 1910. They have great stock and prices. Checked at Rayans but didn’t see Eddy. Was there early in the morning and didn’t see anything I really wanted. Tried a few other places and they all are at least 10-20 percent higher on make products. One place was asking $50 for Benchmark series bottles. All of them were $50 or over. I told dude that he was out of touch but wished him luck. Aurora store looked like they had better stock than the Carpentersville store that I usually frequent. Good hunting!!
I visit Texas few times a year and there are some good whiskeys there, but hey have a different profile from Kentucky bourbon. I enjoy Milan and Green and some Balcones.
Oof! Not every store out here has good pricing. Some are pretty shameless about it. And I'm sure there's some sort of trade-off in PA. I hear there's tons of Weller out there.
Thanks for watching! This place is truly great and we found it kind of funny that the people working there thought they would get hate. They were surprised when we told them that Woodman's is beloved in the bourbon world.
No way! Now I just need to somehow materialize myself to the Woodman's there in Aurora! I appreciate the shoutout! Ooo, 1.75L of OF 100 proof! I got a bottle 10 days ago and opened it and been trying it as it airs out. It won't be exactly Early Times black top but it's close enough! I also spotted the Evan Williams small batch American Hero Edition! I haven't been able to find those around here at all. Our Woodman's sold out of Camp Nelson Kentucky Spirit. Now there is only the TY-G which is Tyrone campus A-K building G. I'm not certain if I've even seen any Fourgate in person. With high price tags like that I'm not 100% on dropping money on it either. Near $200 is a lot of my regular mainstay bottles for like 6 months! Weller Millennium 🙄. Buffalo Trace, we need to talk. You can't even keep your bottom shelf or flagship bottles available and you're f^&king around with yet another specialized limited release that only rich pretentious d$*#$@bags will be able to actually purchase? It doesn't even matter if it is any good or not. No real bourbon drinker is going to be able to consume any of it ever, just posers and players looking to show off with another rare pokemon unopened trophy bottle! Buffalo Trace is out of their dang minds! I don't know if it is still distributor and retailer shenanigans going on with BT products, but I've about had enough of it! They need to get their s&!t together and clean house! They're really starting to forget that what pays the bills is Joe Schmoe picking up a handle of bottom shelf juice every week or every other week like clockwork. Not pretend bourbon enthusiasts who only drop money if they can get their clout bottle or a bottle they can use for trade fodder!
It seems like Buffalo Trace realized that they were missing out on the secondary market revenue, and they wanted to just cut out the middle man. If they could ship direct to consumers, I'm sure they would.
@@BondingOverBourbon Yeah, direct to consumer would stop a lot of this nonsense. That Green River Full Proof is another recent bottle I haven't been able to find. I've seen the regular release and maybe even the wheated. But no Full Proof yet. I'm just really fed up with Buffalo Trace products. They've all been mostly good to great bourbons but that doesn't matter if you can't ever get any of them. I have my Elmer and some Eagle Rare and a Blanton's but I had to drive each day to make entries for those raffles. It hasn't been without significant time and resource investment to get a chance to acquire them. I'm just really happy I finally decided to pick up some Old Forester bottles. I can't believe I had been sandbagging on OF. The 100 proof and 1910 are bangers! I'll be picking up others soon, probably the 100 proof Rye and 1920. Thanks again for the shoutout!
Haven't had the Belle Meade Cognac finish in a number of years, so I can't say for certain. What I can say is that Nelson's line is usually pretty close to the Belle Meade line in terms of taste. If I was in your shoes, I would keep holding onto it in hopes of a trade up or for a price spike because that bottle is definitely discontinued.
One of the few stores doing it right

Great selection and even better prices!
My go to spot for Russells 10 yr Single Barrel
You guys always do great videos man. Thanks !!!!!!
Thanks for that! We appreciate your support 🙏

Great price on the old grand dad bib $20!
Amazing selection and GREAT PRICES 👍 🥃😉 VIDEO TOO

I would have felt my soul leave my body and replace it with disappointment 😞
Good scotch single malt finds there too. I stop every time I’m down from Madison.
Thank You for showing us the prices in your video. We are from Ohio and it was nice to see the price clearly on your video. Great video.
Not a problem! Getting the prices in frame is usually what we're known for.

$50 is insane for a bottle of bottom shelf whiskey.
Green River FP for $45 is insane
This is my local. Their prices are great and get a good bit of allocated. Just got a Larceny BP and Weller SR at MSRP.
We're still in love with this place. Definitely envious that you live much closer than we do.
good times cigar blend is great
The Jim Beam Double Oak is spot on and frequently overlooked.
Haven't had it in quite some time, but you're definitely tempting me right now.
Nice job. Only miss was the Woodford double oak store pick
We're not really big Woodford fans. We've tried each of them several times, and we always feel like the flavor falls a little flat.
I visit Texas few times a year and there are some good whiskeys there, but hey have a different profile from Kentucky bourbon. I enjoy Milan and Green and some Balcones.
Texas has some of the best prices on whiskey we've ever seen. We'd do anything to get JT Meleck up here, but it's everywhere down there.
Nice Haul! Wow those were some great prices!
Wow.. Just WoW. I saw so many good bottles in that store at a reasonable/awesome price . I wish that I was closer .😂 Thanks for sharing .
One day you'll be a kid in this candy store and it will be like heaven. Thanks for watching!
I live in PA and this video made me hate my life - bottles 10 to 15 bucks cheaper than my rip off state run stores
Oof! Not every store out here has good pricing. Some are pretty shameless about it. And I'm sure there's some sort of trade-off in PA. I hear there's tons of Weller out there.
I saw a bottle of the millennium at my local, unfortunately they wouldn’t accept Monopoly money 😂.
Great video. Visited here for the first time over the weekend. Cheers 🥃🥃

some of the prices are crazy good
That Kennay Farms Distilling is awesome
The bottom shelfer rye? It looked interesting, but we had never heard of it before. Anything comparable to it on the market?
@@BondingOverBourbon they are a local IL Distillery. I have it and it's good
We'd love to see more local brands get in the spotlight. Definitely have to check it out the next time we see it.
@BondingOverBourbon Jewel osco has there 2nd offering its a double oak rye
They had Jack 10 earlier this year👍🏼
That's great to know! We'll have to make more trips out there then.

How is Nelson's Cognac compare to Belle Meade XO Cognac? Are they similar? Have a sealed bottle of Belle Meade XO but heard it was discontinued

That's my top 3 woodman's! Don't be telling people to make it busier🤫! When are you coming to Rockford?
We almost went to Rockford instead but it was a little further out than we were planning to go.
